“I hear the nurses say that there is a person called Dr. Watson and this person has a good skill and always does everything herself. The way she speaks...is very direct and simple. I think it refers to you, right?”

Facing Riley who obviously had no mood and spoke with an icy attitude, William was still able to communicate with her gently and elegantly. His patience and good temper were really rare and valuable.

Riley did not expect him to reply like this. She shook her head as if relieved, “No need, goodbye, Dr. Hardesty.”

William nodded, “Dr. Watson, see you tomorrow.”

Riley walked out of the hospital with her famished and exhausted body. She simply bought a box of sandwiches at the convenience store in front of the entrance. As she was really tired and her mood was not good, she, a person who normally would not eat fast food, had no choice but to eat it.

When Riley went back to the villa, she found that the atmosphere was not right. Euan, who had not returned for a few days had suddenly come back?

Bah!

He did not accompany Lydia but he came here, why? Had he thought of a new method again so he came to humiliate her?

She opened the door. The blinding large chandelier caused Riley who had not adapted to the light subconsciously narrowed her eyes. Before she opened her eyes again, Euan’s cold and stiff voice with obvious displeasure entered her ears.

“I have an OT last minute. I don’t know that you’ll come back,” Riley spoke in a tone as if she was reporting something. She was worn out so she just wanted to go and sleep. She did not have the energy to argue with him.

Euan crossed his legs the other way round. His evil gaze was accompanied by probing, “Hendrix will come over tomorrow, I think you know what you should do.”

Damn! Hendrix?

Thinking of this name, Riley felt her scalp tingling. What the hell did Hendrix want to do?

“I’m on duty tomorrow and I’ll be back at night. When will he arrive?”

Riley felt soreness in her ankles. She had stood for six hours so her calves were swelling and sore. She had not done the work on the operating table for quite a long time. So, sudden participation in it was very challenging for her.

“Tomorrow is Saturday and he will arrive in the morning. Regarding the matter in the hospital, you settle it yourself.”

Euan put one hand inside his pocket and let out a regal breath, “Whether the Watson family will survive or be ruined, it all depends on your performance. If you don’t care, I’ll devastate it now.”

As if her Achilles heel was being controlled by the enemy, Riley abruptly regained her sense. Her arrogance and indifference just now disappeared instantly. She did have an Achilles heel and weakness.

If Euan really did something to the Watson family, she could not do anything at all.

Euan left YJ Villa. Elijah, who was sitting in the car, did not dare to say a word.

The car had been driven to the viaduct. As Elijah really did not know where should he drive the car to, he asked timidly, “Boss, tonight...you go where?”

Euan glanced at him coldly. The name of a place was going to be uttered but was drawn back again, “Go back!”

Elijah became even more bewildered, “Boss...go...go back to where?”

This time, Euan only gave Elijah a stern look. Elijah then risked his own life to think that Euan was referring to that place.

The next day, the sky was full of ominous dark clouds while lightning struck and thunder rumbled.

The chilly rain of the early autumn dropped on the windows, creating the sound effects of a horror movie. The villa with nobody around suddenly looked spooky.

Riley got up, changed her clothes and prepared to go to the hospital as usual. The words Euan said last night suddenly appeared in her mind. She gripped her coat and took off it.

Riley went downstairs and saw the figure on the screen. She was helpless.
