Hendrix?

Euan held his phone tight gradually, he looked at the view outside the window with no expression, his back was straight.

They did not meet each other for five years, he remembered that the little boy always sought protection from him in the past. Now, the little boy grew up and even learnt to intervene in the affair of adults.

“Keep an eye on him,” Euan gave an instruction coolly, he asked Elijah Parker to follow Hendrix’s car. He wanted to know what Hendrix intended to do.

His finger knocked on the surface of the table for a few times and thought whether he should redefine his impression on Hendrix.

Just then, Hendrix drove his car towards the hospital. Riley could recognize the surrounding and frowned deeply.

“Where are you taking me to?” Riley’s voice was hoarse, the painfulness of her knee struck her nervous system, she could feel the pain gradually and made her frown.

Hendrix curled his lips, “Riley, have you hurt your brain? Don’t you recognize the route to your working place?”

Riley leaned forwards, “Stop driving! I don’t want to go to the hospital.”

“You are injured, you must go to the hospital to get yourself bandaged. You don’t want yourself to become disabled at such a young age, right?”

Euan said with a fast pace, he knew his sister-in-law’s temper. He got to knew her stubborn, caprice and noncompliance in two days. It was impossible for her to obey him.

“Hendrix! I want to you stop!” Riley saw that Hendrix did not stop but accelerated his car, she patted his back heavily, “Hendrix! Stop driving! Do you understand?”

Hendrix tuned the volume up deliberately and acted exaggeratedly, “Riley, what do you say? Oh no, what happened to my ear? I can’t hear you.”

Riley bit her teeth, she did not want to go to the hospital, she did not want others to see her scar and wound, especially Hendrix.

The car parked in front of the hospital, Riley did not want to get down of the car, she stared at Hendrix with cold sight, “Hendrix, you better U-turn now!”

Hendrix shrugged his shoulder and intended to lift Riley out of the car. The latter moved and kept a seat distance with him vigilantly.

“Riley, I don’t understand, you’re a famous doctor, you should know that wound must be bandaged immediately. Why don’t you understand this simple principle? I suspect that your doctor’s license is brought from elsewhere.”

“I’m a doctor, I know what kind of wound should be bandaged and what don’t. I am fine, don’t worry, Mr George. Please send me back now!”

Hendrix smiled evilly, his brow raised, he looked like a ruffian, “Hey, Riley, you want me to send you home directly? It is too direct...I’m shy.”

Oh my gosh! Riley got angry by Hendrix’s caddish kind of behaviour. It now seemed like she had no choice but to go.

Hendrix did not wait for Riley to give any response and directly opened his arms and lifted Riley!

Riley felt that thunder had struck her brain!

“Hendrix, I am your sister-in-law! Let me go! Let go!”

Hendrix looked straight, he was shocked that the woman that struggled in his arm was extremely light. Riley did not seem to have much fats and he felt that she was as light as someone who never ate rice when he lifted her.

Hendrix walked up the stairs, said with a serious tone, “Dr Watson, gender is not an issue to a doctor, not even the identity.”

Nevertheless, Hendrix curved his lips, he wanted to stick to the woman who looked like a little lion when in anger.

Hendrix had attracted others’ attention when he lifted Riley into the hospital because of his handsome face and wild behaviour. Initially, they only looked at Hendrix and lingered his good look.

Next moment, the medical staffs had recognized the woman in his arms!

“Oh my God! Is the woman that the handsome guy lifting Riley who works in internal medicine department?”

“It is her indeed! Dr Watson! Unbelievable! Does Riley have a boyfriend?”

“Impossible, this handsome guy seems younger than her. I hear that Riley is a problematic woman. She always shows a serious face and nobody dares to get closer to her, she is indeed the “Nun Killer” among the physicians!”

After hearing the word “Nun Killer”, Hendrix looked at Riley who showed a purple face. He ignored the whisper of the nurses and smiled mischievously, “Sister-in-law, your prestige is not bad, your title is good as well, “Nun Killer”? Wow, so powerful!”

Riley stared at him, “Hendrix, you can either get lost or shut up your mouth!”

“Ok, Ok, “Nun Killer” has given an instruction, I dare not disobey you.”

Hendrix was pleased at the moment.

Inside the emergency room.

When the doctor saw Riley’s scar of her knee and leg, he stopped moving his hand which held the aseptic cotton suddenly, “Dr Watson, it has been two days since you hurt your left knee, right?”

Riley nodded, did not speak a word.

There were few areas of purple scar found on Riley’s fair leg, ranging from the upper part of her knee to her calf. She looked badly hurt, the old wound had not yet recovered and new wound appeared. This made her slim leg ugly.

Hendrix narrowed his eyes, he must punish the scoundrels that made trouble in the hospital by himself!

The doctor who did the bandage raised his head to look at Hendrix who was frowned while seeing Riley’s wound, he joked, “How bad are you to be her boyfriend? Your girlfriend has injured for a few days then you only send her to the hospital now.”

“You have misunderstood! He is not...”

“You’re right, doctor. I will send her to the hospital immediately next time. Sorry about that.”

“You still want it to happen next time? Dude, are you prepared to be broken up by her?”

Riley bit her teeth, “He is not my boyfriend!”

The time froze.

Hendrix raised his brow and ignored her anger, he was delighted.

After her wound was bandaged, Riley did not allow Hendrix to get closer to her!

Firstly, she thought that Hendrix was young so he behaved like this. Now, she knew that Hendrix was not as simple as that. “Riley, don’t walk too fast, your wound on your knee will become worsen.”

Riley was furious, she stretched her hand to stop Hendrix from following her, “You stand there! Keep a distance from me!”

Hendrix stopped walking after Riley scolded him. Then, he used his sight to measure the distance between them and said with a wronged tone, “Riley, there are two to three meters between our distance, isn’t that enough?”

Riley ground her teeth, “Your shadow has stepped on my foot!”

Hendrix was speechless. He looked down, his shadow was indeed laying on her foot under the sunlight. The shadow moved according to his movement.

Hendrix laughed, “Riley, can you not to be so...serious?”

He wanted to say that she was cute but looked at Riley’s expression, Hendrix knew that he would die of saying the words.

“Yes! I have mysophobia!”

After saying the words, Riley walked down the stairs angrily, she did not care about her pain at the moment.

“Riley, please wait for me. I will send you back!”

“No need!”

Hendrix continued to chase after her, “Riley, don’t get angry. You are so fierce that you break my heart.”

“It is great that it breaks.”

Hendrix did not give up. He found that Riley who looked cool and indifferent was not as scary as what other people said. In his opinion, this stubborn woman was cute.

When Hendrix wanted to pull Riley’s arm, a voice was heard...

“Mr George.”

Hendrix and Riley looked up instantly, they saw Elijah stood in front of a black Bentley. He smiled while looked at them. Riley felt like she had been struck by electricity and moved a step forward, kept away from Hendrix’s hand.

Hendrix scratched his hair, “Elijah, why are you here?”

Elijah greeted them and bowed, “I hear that there is a mess in the hospital, the person involved is Mrs George. So, I come here to see what happened.”

Hendrix sneered, “Elijah, your working efficiency is too low. They left already, you are too late to arrive.”

Elijah agreed respectfully, “It’s my fault. Mrs George, please get in the car.”

Riley nodded, “Ok, Elijah, please send me home.”

Hendrix rubbed his nose, “I want to go together.”

Riley said irritably, “You go back to your home, I go back to mine, why are you creating a mess?”

Elijah drove the car, Riley sat at the backseat. She wanted to ask Elijah if Euan asked him to come but she did not manage to ask so.

“Mrs George, we have arrived.”

She was absent-minded on the way, did not realize that they had arrived.

Elijah helped Riley to get down the car. When she saw the gate of the villa, she bit her lips instinctively.

“Mrs George, please rest well. Call me if you need me.”

“Ok.”

So, their relationship was so poor that he only asked his assistant to take care of her?

Yes, he treated Lydia well, did everything for her by himself and wished that he could fight for her.

Riley was grieved that she was almost breathless when she thought of the happenings in these three years.

She entered the room and changed her shoes. When she turned her body, she stunned.

Lydia?!

Why Lydia was here?

Lydia wore a yellow dress and sat with crossing legs on the sofa. There was a glass of red wine on the table, it had been sipped, the lipstick mark could be seen on the glass.

When Lydia saw Riley, she crossed her arms and lay on the sofa.

“Good job! Riley!”

Riley’s fingers paled, she leaned against the whatnot to reduce the weight on her leg. She was depressed and felt that her energy had been removed from her body, she wanted to fall heavily...

Euan did not love her, hated her, rejected her, but at least this house belonged to them, no one had entered the house in these three years.

But for now, was her last position in Euan’s heart removed?

Riley felt that her heart was being cut by a knife. Then, she raised her head and faced Lydia with a dominant pattern, she smiled, “It’s a pity, you don’t even have the opportunity to become the stain of his life, you can only show your power in front of me without shame.
