Chapter 2

02. First Encounter With A Person From Another World

I was lying on a bed when I woke up.

“It’s a ceiling I’m not familiar with.”

As one would expect, I proceeded to mutter those words.

Maybe because I just experienced something excessively shocking, I’m strangely calm right now.

I looked around after getting up from the bed and some plain wooden furniture like a table and chair were set up, however I can’t see the owner of the house anywhere.

And then, a surprising scene is spread outside the window.

There are several flowers I’ve never seen until now.

It is beautifully arranged and calling it a garden will indeed be suitable.

Even if I’m in this situation, I can’t help but get out of the house, not forgetting to pick up my favorite illustrated encyclopedia and notebook that are both placed on the bedside.

“This flower resembles this one but this is the first time I’ve seen this color...could this be possibly...”n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

I muttered incoherently. I was absorbed in leafing through the illustrated encyclopedia when a I heard a voice from behind all of a sudden.

” *********? ********* ”

I looked back in surprise, and standing there is a muscled Ojii-san

.

The thickness of his upper arms is amazing. His short sleeves are so stretched tightly.

Ojii-san‘s refreshing smile made me relax, but I can’t understand what he’s saying.

“Ah, uhm... I’m sorry. Sorry.”

I somehow used English even though it’s obvious that the words Ojii-san spoke are not English.

I feel like crying.

I slightly hang my head, but Ojii-san only bent down and patted my head.

He patted my head in a calming manner.

Flowers that I never saw before. Words that I never heard before. Somehow or the other, I began to understand that this place is different from what I’ve known so far and so, my tears didn’t stop.
