Ashton Wainwright I was on the way to work. I had tried calling Chris many times but their's no response. Many business partners are asking for response since few days. I am unable to decide anything without him. Management is working on asking time from everyone even they are requesting for Chris. The whole company is dead without him. Should I try calling Luna? What if she is provoking him to stay with her? Why would she? It's definitely my evil brother and father. Should I visit house? No. I have to prove my words before entering in the house infront of them. I should call Matthew. Yes. I should ask him to dine with me. I picked up my phone and dialled Matthew. It's been 4 years since I dialled his contact. It was picked up after few rings. "Sunbeam Automobiles speaking... Who is there?" A womanly voice reached my ears."Sunbeam Fashions!" I said as a smirk plastered my face. I feel so proud while saying it. "Hmm...  Ashton?" It's Marie, Matthew's wife."Have you started working as his secretary?" I asked her to make the chat casual.She giggled and said, "No. He is just staying home as we are having our second child in my belly."It means he is home. "Ahh.. That's nice. I hope I would be able to attend the child's Christening ceremony.""Offcourse you can." Her words were light. I can understand she is happy. She was the woman filled with positivity. And the best thing happened with my brother too."Okay. Can I talk with Matthew? Or tell him to call me back." I asked her the main thing.I heard a slipping sound of some rubber, probably slippers, and a voice replied, "Hello. Who is this? Mamma.. I want to talk.." It's Evan's voice. I heard him in wedding. He is probably 3 now."No.. Evan.. Let it go." Marie said."Tell me who is it? Mamma.. please." Evan cried. It made me chuckle."It's uncle. Now let me talk." She said. Followed my some more snatching sound and then running one. Finally some heavy breathing sounds were heard."Marie? Are you okay?" I got worried."Uncle. Which uncle are you?" A cute baby sound asked me."Where is your mom? Evan?""Mom is with Aunt. Aunt Ester." He said in enthusiasm."Okay. I will say bye now." I replied."Noo" He shouted. "Which uncle?" This kid. "Ashton uncle." I said as my lips curved in a smile."Mhm.. Ashto. Uncle.. Ashton uncle... Ashton uncle... Ashton uncle.." He kept repeating as if he was memorizing my name.I chuckled at his actions. "Okay bye kid." I said. I felt my mind peacefully accepting how cute he was."Bye. Ashton uncle." I chuckled and hung up the phone. Except for Matthew, everyone in my family has always supported everyone's ideas. I know as Sunbeam Automobiles has expanded a lot so he needs someone to accompany but both us have different interests. So sorry, but I want to prove myself too. I reached the workplace and walked in. I remembered that I have revealed our relationship. I wasn't planning to reveal but everyone kept meddling about Chris in just few days. Though I made an excuse that he is sick, but it doesn't work anymore. So to distract everyone from him I had to give them another gossip to chat on. As soon as I entered Jamie wished me and asked, "Do you want to order some flowers for your pretty girlfriend? Sir? "My face flushed as I turned to her. I just nodded. A broad smile came on my face imagining about Aisha's reaction. I stopped and turned to Jamie again and asked her, "Is she here yet?"She shook her head in negative."Then make it a surprise and place the bouquet on her desk before she reaches here." I said as my heart fluttered in excitement. I walked to management. I told a deputy manager to held a meeting today after lunch. I went to see in Chris's cabin. He wasn't there. I felt more frustrated. I am losing control over myself. I dialled Luna directly while walking to my cabin. She won't pick up. I think. But for a surprise she picked up after few rings."Luna wh.." I was about to ask her as she interrupted."Don't disturb us. Ashyy" She said."What do you mean? You are the one disturbing our lives." I shouted at her.She sighed and said, "Wanna talk to Chris?" "Just tell, when the hell are you letting him join his own life?" I screamed in anger. "Don't shout Ashyy." She said in teasing manner. Anger fumed in my body. "I know this very well that you haven't taken him seriously this time. When I kidnapped him, where were you? He has helped you to protect your girlfriend. Then, where were you gone when it was time to protect him?"Regret flashed around my eyes. Her words started digging roughly in my heart. "Mhm.. I.. I was" I murmured but she cuts me off. "Stop giving me your silly explanations. Chris is safe with me. I am not letting him go anywhere else."I breathed deeply and asked in a pleasant voice, "Have you asked him if he wants to stay with you without any work?" I hope it affected her. It was silent for few seconds. "I know you guys love each other. Even if you don't show me. But do you think you are protecting him? And if you are genuinely protecting him, does he like this way of protection? Don't you think he wants to go out and explore? Think about it and if I didn't see Chris here by tomorrow I will make cops work on it. Take it as a warning." I firmly stated everything and hung up the call.I know it was rude. But I don't care because Chris is most important at this time. I took a deep breathe relaxing back on my chair. I closed my eyes, until I heard the door jerk. I opened my eyes widely. I was unable to believe my eyes after seeing that figure entering inside the cabin.
