DMITRI POV

Since our brunch at the summer house in Long Island almost two weeks had passed and Jasper and I have been doing great. Man, I was totally lost and gone for my little and sweet and super sexy kitten and even if I know it was wrong to say it, I was getting edgy to have more. Oh crap, I sounded just like a creepy and old geezer, but hey, cut me some slack, will you man? Jasper is just irresistible and damn, he’s an incredible teaser. He was getting more relaxed and bold day after day and wow, what it came out from it was me going almost nuts.

Ok, remove the almost and replace it with “completely”.

Yeah, my monkey was driving me totally nuts.

Argh, what was I thinking about right now in class while I was trying my hardest to keep awake during this endless boredom? Why did I need to take Spanish? Argh...should ask Jas to give me private lessons about it, since he’s awesome at speaking it. Oh, private lessons with my kitty, wow, that’s hot. Man, here we go again. But hey, freaking hot. Just think of him teaching me how to properly speak Spanish.

Oh man, I’m getting hard.

I grinned and then hit the desk with my forehead, trying to push away the picture forming in my head of Jasper and me alone in my or his room. Oh dear me, I had turned into another Sasha, only less beastly. Oh joy. I hit the desk another time and the teacher stopped right in front of me and gave me her sufficient and annoyed look; why couldn’t she just ignore me? River softly kicked under my chair as to say to straighten up and avoid problems. What a pain in the neck, but he was right, I had a date with Jasper in the afternoon and sure I wasn’t going to spoil it with detention or the like. Actually, Andy invited us over his house to watch a movie and do something together and I knew my kitty missed his friends from skateboard. The problem was the damn rain. It hadn’t stopped raining for a week and this was getting quite annoying even for me.

“Mr. Denisov, is everything ok? Or are we making further brain damages?” I noticed I was the only person in class she spoke to in English; even that badass of Sasha spoke better Spanish than I did, even if he didn’t like it. Bet I was for her a lost cause and for me it was fine. But the hell? Brain damages? Oh, my hitting the desk. Right,

“Everything is ok, thank you. I was just…err, trying to remember a word in Spanish.” Right, as if. She seized me from head to toe like I had grown a second and third head and then scoffed. Man, just leave it and get going with this useless class.

“And which word might that be?”

Oh shoot, she had to ask it, right? I tried to rank for a word, but obviously only one was there at the moment.

“Err, kitty?”

The teacher narrowed her eyes so much she almost squeezed them shut and then sighed loudly. River and Sasha sniggered beside me very quietly, probably guessing why I came out with the word and Hayden literally burst out laughing like an idiot, followed by Derek and Danny. Oh well, at least now I wasn’t the one at the centre of her attention, so good job for laughing.

“Do you think this is all a joke?” She asked quite pissed off to my friends with her accent going crazy.

River coughed and then decided to answer for the others, probably in the intent to seduce her with his charm and avoid my best mate to scare her off. Believe me or not, it always worked. I think she had a soft spot for my friend and obviously the smartass would use it to his advantage.

“Miss Arroyo I believe my friends did not intend to burst out laughing because they found your extremely interesting lesson a joke. We do all enjoy your classes very much.” He smiled at her in his usual way and damn it, our teacher blushed and for a moment was at a loss of words.

Good call, mate. I grinned at him and he quickly eyed me as to say shut-up and behave and so I tried to smile at our teacher in the same way, but from her look I might have seemed like a moronic dofus. Derek, Danny and Hayden quickly apologized and thanks to River we all were fine and soon she forgot about us; then I realized I didn’t get to know how to say “kitty” in Spanish.

“I believe it’s gato, but that works for cat, so maybe you could use gatito or minino.” I whipped my head at my friend and stared at him probably looking like a moron. The man here read minds, now I had the proof of it. He rolled his blue eyes and snorted. “I don’t read minds, blockhead, you looked like about to solve the math quest of the year, so I guessed you really were thinking about that.”

“Err..you’re scaring, know that mate?” I asked him and Hayden coughed to suppress another fit of laugh.

“I think it is more correct to say that you are obvious.” He teased smirking in his usual way and I saw Sasha smiling and shaking his head.

“Guess in a way you’re right.” I shrugged and thought he was right. River winked and turned his attention to the lesson; well, his apparent attention, because I knew he was actually exchanging messages with someone on the phone, probably his last conquest, whose name nobody knew, well maybe Sasha knew it. But obviously no teacher ever caught him red-handed, because he was a real smartass. The same deal was for Derek, who now spent half of the time texting that crazy chick, Shenice. Ha, our plan worked perfectly and those two just hit it off.

As for me, I wasn’t very good at concealing what was on my mind and even worse about filtering that. Scratch that, I was hopeless when it came to filter stuff. Oh well, whatever, who gave a damn about it; my kitty didn’t mind it and actually said he liked it. Hmm…I wanted to see Jasper and had still to wait another two hours. Oh man, two hours and one of them was stupid biology. Argh, now really couldn’t wait to hug and be with my monkey.

“Dude, pay attention or not even our River’s powerful charm will save your butt from a note.” Derek whispered to me from behind.

“Man, you are another scaring bastard.” I murmured back and he silently sniggered.

During the other hours I tried my best to pay attention and even forced myself to take notes; good God, you have no idea what that meant to me and the effort it cost, but hey, Jas was proud of me and my parents told me being with Jasper was doing me good, because apparently my grades were better. Alright, slightly better. But hey, it was true that being with my kitty was doing me great and I felt like I never felt before. Complete and settled. Man, to think until few months ago I couldn’t even formulate the idea of having a serious relationship and now? Now I felt settled and I could see myself in the future with Jasper, living together, building a house for us, having a family with him.

Wow, this sounded sort of crazy, but it was just how I felt. Right.

Right.

I smacked my forehead and shook my head. Of course it was how I felt, I was lost for Jasper, I mean, I think I was in love with him. I scratched behind my ear and then nape of my neck, thinking about it, but wasn’t so easy to think and rationalize feelings, given I never ever felt anything like this, not even remotely close. Was I in love with Jasper? I think I was, but how could I make sure of that? Better talk to Sasha, in the hope he won’t mind that, but screw it; he was in love with his man and now clearly and bluntly admit it.

So yeah, I think I was in love with my kitty and a moronic grin rose on my face and the biology teacher looked at me exasperated and decided to give up on that. Who cared about…about…hell if I knew what he was talking about right now; I just discovered something amazing, so the hell with your boring and useless subject. Wondered what my friends and family would say about it; I chuckled under my breath picturing my mum’s reaction, because dude, I sure wasn’t going to tell dad. Can you honestly see a guy going to his father and say “Dad, I think I’m in love with my sexy and hot boyfriend.” Right, as if. And what would Jasper say about that? Wait a moment. What if he didn’t feel the same? Man, no, no, no…let’s not think about it. Most importantly, let’s not blab it out as usual out of the blue, ok? Sure, deal.

My family. And that meant my twin brother. I sighed and scraped my hair now more annoyed; Anatoly had behaved oddly since that day in Long Island, when he was sending murdering glares to my man and to me. You couldn’t exactly call them murdering glares, but sure they weren’t nice and sweet and I didn’t like one bit the way he eyed Jasper. He was such a homophobe and couldn’t stand that side of him, but something ticked me off and damn for a moment I even thought he might fancy MY boyfriend. Alright, I knew it, I was getting overly jealous and protective, but man, you never know. When we went back home I took him out of guard a moment we were alone and clearly told him to piss off and don’t even dare to think about Jas. He seized me with his usual sick stare and scoffed, smacking my hands off and walking away without saying a word and believe me, that was damn strange, because he would never miss the chance to talk back and try to mock me. He hated me so damn much and for some freaky reason I couldn’t phantom; what the hell have I done to him? Hell if I knew.

I exhaled and sprawled back on the chair; Sasha shot me a quick look and very quietly asked me in Russian if everything was ok. I simply nodded and he rested his eyes on me for a couple of seconds and I knew he had already understood everything.

“Is it about that bastard?” My friend never forgave my twin the way he behaved with me and then with our friends and the way he insulted his family. Sasha was right in that and I felt the same, but as much moronic as it was, I missed the brother I used to have.

“He’s a bit a strange lately.” I admitted and he crooked one eyebrow as to say “stranger than usual?”

“Keep an eye on him.” He quickly said, thinking about something. “Stranger than usual? Is it after meeting Jasper with your family?”

“Yeah, I don’t know man. He kept looking at him as if looking at crap, but at the same time he would never drop his stare and then pissed me off eyeing me as if looking to a load of crap. Oh well, whatever. Just warned him and we should be fine. Probably he tried some weird drug and that freaked him out.” I shrugged it off and checked a message that just arrived to my phone. It was from Jasper and a huge grin formed on my face.

“Boy, today school is super boring! Can’t wait to see you.”

“Same for me monkey and have biology… Going to kiss the light out of you.”

I could see his face going red and his sweet chocolate eyes widening while reading my message and I wished I could snatch a picture of his expression. Good God, he was just so damn adorable and cute. Well, sensually cute, with his soft lips caressing my skin and playing with my soft spots and then nibbling them with his white teeth, his small fingers studying the line of my muscles, while his eyes hungrily travelled my body and set me on fire and…argh, man, I was a masochist, honestly. I got myself hard. Dofus.

“I don’t think he does anymore drugs, you said Oleg is checking on him, right?” I just nodded and realized Sasha might be right. “Well, just keep an eye on him and if he creates more problems, let me know.”

“Thanks, mate. But hey, he’s the hugest homophobe in the US, so no worries there.”

“Dima, some of the worst homophobes sometimes are men deadly scared to admit their own sexuality.” What he said froze me and he saw that, because he shook his head and placed a hand on my shoulder to reassure me. “Hey, that doesn’t mean he is one of them. He’s just a twisted sick bastard, that’s all. And already told you, if you need me, just say it.”

“Yeah, know that. I just can’t understand what went wrong years ago, why he turned out that way and why he hates me so much.”

Sasha studied me for few seconds and then sighed. He had no idea, too.

“I don’t know either, to be honest. To think we all used to be friends.”

The phone vibrated in my jeans pocket again and I almost fell down from the chair when I read the message.

Man, Jas was going to kill me one of these days.

“Can we skip school so we can be alone? Counting the minutes that separates us..”

“Baby, counting the seconds!!”

Crap, now I had raging boner and it was getting damn uncomfortable, so I tried to shift my legs in a more easy position, but didn’t work quite well and I cursed in Russian under my breath; obviously Sasha understood it and eyed me amused and then smirked. Horny bastard.

“You are not the only one wishing to skip school and be alone with your man.” He said with darkening eyes.

Right, he was thinking about Travis. I grinned and gave up, simply spreading my legs out and not giving a flying f*ck about my problem; I mean, for crying out loud, he was my best mate and the others could just turn the other way.

When the damn bell rang, I sprang up and literally ran out of the door and surprised my little and cute boyfriend with a bear-like hug and lifted him from the floor sneaking behind him like a ninja. He first yelped and realizing it was me he giggled and breathed out a “oh boy, Dima”. Cowboy Dallas was there with him and he smirked; alright, he was getting less annoying with Jas and so now I tolerated him more around my kitty, but he would still call him “hottie” or “eye-candy” and occasionally kiss his cheeks. Man, that pissed me off so much.

“Hey big boy, someone is edgy to see his sweet half?” He teased.

“Hey Walker, where did you park your horse?” I retorted back and he just shook his head, smiling and going to greet Jess, Xander and Derek.

Those two guys had lunch with us sometimes, and that because Travis insisted to invite them and did his best to tame Sasha’s temper and icy cold and hard stare towards them. He was remotely fine with Jess because the dude dropped any stupid comment or joke about Travis, but still hadn’t forgotten Xander, but wouldn’t say or do anything to displease his beloved boyfriend.

“Dima, I missed you.” Jas turned around in my hug and tangled his arms around my neck, tiptoeing and snuggling my collarbone and tickling me with his messy hair. Crap, seriously, why weren’t we alone right now?

“Missed you, too.” I pulled him up and ran my nose on his neck. He shivered and I chuckled, gaining a playful smack on my neck.

“We are in school..”

“But you wish to be somewhere else alone with me, isn’t that right? Man Jas, can’t wait to get out of here.” He blushed and I just stole a quick kiss leaving him with wide eyes and then a shy smile on his lips.

“Uhm well…yep, you’re right.” He admitted biting his lips and looking away. “Uhm, but we are going to be with my friends today.”

His friends? Oh crap, forgot about it.

“Damn, had forgotten about it. Alright, it just means we won’t see the end of the movie.” Jas gasped, but then giggled and playfully pulled my earlobe.

“Bad tiger, bad tiger.” He teased and joked and dear me; his fingers toying with my ear and his hand stroking my neck were about to turn me on like hell. And his damn tight and sexy skinny jeans ripped at the knees and giving him a bit of bad-boy air didn’t help a bit in the department.

“Jas, you already got me a boner with your last message, if you keep doing this, I might consider the idea of locking us inside the bathroom.” My monkey almost chocked on air and pulled harder my earlobe. “Ouch, not my fault you turn me on that much.” I defended myself and he first shot me an embarrassed glare, but then smiled sweetly and sort of mewled.

“You guys are coming with us or do you plan to flirt and dirty-talk during the entire lunch break?” Travis smirked while leaning on my best friend’s chest. Sure, he was the one to talk.

“Yo crazy buddy, you are the one enjoying the dirty-talking.” Jasper giggled softly beside me and laced his fingers with mine.

“Hell, don’t even waste time and breathe in denying it, right baby?” He tilted his face to Sasha and the man there smirked at him like a hungry wolf.

“Right, love.”

River studied the four of us with an amused and cat-like smile and then turned around checking something on his phone.

“River man, now it’s your turn.” I mused; he stopped and looked at me from his shoulder with a mischievous smile.

“And who says my turn hasn’t already come?” I scrolled my shoulders and head and chuckled; it was impossible to guess what he was thinking about and what was going on with him, so I had given up long time ago. Jasper halted a moment and felt him shifting his head towards my friend and they exchanged a quick look, then River winked and walked towards Derek and Kevin.

“Everything ok, Jas?” I asked him, since he was still looking at his direction.

“Uhm sure, everything is fine. I…I just have an idea, but I think it is a silly and nonsensical idea.” He shook his head and beamed at me. Man, no one else had such a sweet and melting smile.

“Which idea do you have?”

“Nothing, I’ll tell you another time.” Alright, I nodded and then we followed our friends to the cafeteria and got something to eat, given that as usual I was starving.

My baby sat beside me and we went on talking about a new game I bought for my x-box and about a Star Wars book; then he said he began to read “Game of Thrones” and thus we decided to go and buy the DVDs to watch together and then I remembered something.

At the beginning of next month it was going to be Jasper’s birthday and thought it would be nice to organize something, like a surprise party, and bet Travis would help me in that. So, mental note to ask the crazy dude over there about Jas’s birthday. Wow, for a couple of months we were going to be both eighteen, given my birthday was in June. June…finals and college. Argh. I rolled my eyes and anyway I had already applied to some and lucky me I was one of the best in playing hockey, because my grades sure didn’t help in the matter. I just wanted to stay in New York, close to my family, my friends and most importantly to Jasper; he had no idea about college yet, but he still had a whole year to think about it and anyway he was smart and a good student, even though for his moronic stuck-up mother still wasn’t good enough.

Man, she was impossible and couldn’t stand her.

Lunch was over and that meant American literature for me and God help me not to fall asleep or snap when the teacher would begin talking about utterly boring authors and their freaky paranoia and obsessions. I fell in a sort of vigilant slumber and made sure to keep my eyes open when he would turn around and check on me, since I sure wasn’t the most brilliant student in class. Today my lucky star decided to help me, because our coach called us all before the end of the class, needing to talk to us about next week game. We were going to play outside New York and that was the decisive game, according to him, but darn it, every single game was decisive for him. I sent a message to Jas and told him about that, hoping he wouldn’t mind to arrive late at his friend’s house. He answered pronto and of course he didn’t mind it and waited for me outside the changing room with Travis that was there for Sash; they second their eyes met, it was the moment their tongues explored each other tonsils. No kidding.

We exchanged an amused glance and chuckled, knowing they were hopeless; they then said good-bye and drove to Travis’s dance studio. Sasha would move mountains and seas for his man, and I came to realize I would do the same for mine.

“Sorry about this, did you tell Andy we are going to be late?” I checked my watch and crap, did coach Garrison really wasted over an hour to talk about how decisive was next game?

“Yep, but he’s cool with that and said to get some snacks; Stevie is coming, too.” He smiled and I smiled in response. Apparently they had few discussions recently because of our relationship and I felt sorry about it, but at the same time I wished to kick that pain in the neck’s butt; I had no idea what his damn problem was, but he should have taken it to me and leave Jasper alone.

“That’s awesome; you guys haven’t seen each other in quite some time, right?”

Jas nodded and bit his lower lip sucking it thinking about something and wow, something erupted in me and I pressed him against the wall and set my hands beside his face; his eyes widened in surprise and he went to say something, but I connected my lips with his quicker and groaned at tasting them. I haven’t kissed him since this morning and now the need was urgent and controlling; his hands first went on my chest to push me away, but there wasn’t real struggle or pressure and soon they slipped around it and grabbed my jacket from the back, melting his body on mine and bending his head to give me complete access. The moment our tongues touched, it was the moment we lost contact with reality. Mine snaked around his while one hand ran on his hair, tangling between his hazel lockets. The other hand descended from the shoulder to the hip and grabbed it strongly, pulling him flat against me; man my kitty was hardening and quite a lot and I growled in his mouth.

Only when I felt like jerking away his jacket and shirt, I found some control and broke the kiss, breathing heavy and hard, feeling my head light with desire and pleasure. Oh man, Jasper had me completely gone and belonging to him; I was whipped and damn it, I loved that. He stared at me almost not believing we just made out quite roughly in school and then hid his face in the crook of my neck, surely blushing.

“Oh boy, Dima…sorry, I think I lost it and..”

“Hey kitty, what are you talking about? I’m the one that jumped your bones. Sorry, I’ll try to use more self-control, but hey, you kiss so sexily, baby.” And that was so true. He giggled and muttered something. “What did you say?”

“That uhm, well…that, uhm, you..when you kiss me I-I forget everything else.”

“Hmm, like to know this.” I teased him and he snorted. He was so cute when he snorted and rolled his eyes in the intent to mask his embarrassment. “Ok, shall we go? So you say we have to get some snacks?”

“Yep, that’s what Andy said.”

“Alright man, let’s go.”

We stopped at a grocery store right where his friend lived and got all sort of available crap and junk food; hey, I was a healthy eighteen years old guy with a huge and muscular body, and a hot and tempting boyfriend. I needed my stamina always ready. Andy and Mike, thank God by now I remembered every name without problem, greeted us warmly and then Carlos joined the duo and asked about hockey; apparently he liked it and so we talked about the game of last night; in the living room Mr. grumpy pants was sitting on a couch and when he saw us, he scoffed at me and attacked verbally Jas.

And that pissed me off like hell.

“Why are you so freaking late?” He didn’t even greet his friend.

“Uhm, I sent a message to Andy. Dima has a last-minute meeting with his hockey team and that’s the reason, but now we are here and we brought more snacks.”

“Well done buddy, let me place the sodas in the fridge.” Andy said, trying to ease down the mood.

“Want a help, man?” I offered.

“Nah, just sit down and take whatever you want; Carlos’s mother made some awesomesauce little thing with pizza and you must try them.” I grinned and thanked them. “Mike, Carlos, help with the snacks.” The guys disappeared in the kitchen and it was just the three of us.

Steven shot me a cold and cranky glare, but I ignored it; as I said, can’t have everyone to like me.

“So Jazz, you now do whatever this blockhead here says? What, you don’t have your own opinion? You’re wasting your time with this dofus here.” He rudely said to Jas and I stopped right in front of him crossing my arms. He seized me from head to toe and stood up, but sure he didn’t match my size.

“Hey, if you got a problem with me, that’s fine, couldn’t care less, but leave Jas out of this. Is that clear?” Honestly, what has crawled up his ass? Jasper walked beside me and grabbed my hand, as to soothe me, but he knew I wasn’t easy to lose patience and my cool.

“Stevie, stop this now. What are you talking about? Don’t call Dima in that way, you know I hate it and you know I like Dima and that he’s amazing. You know it, now apologize.” Wow, my kitty suddenly turned into a wild cat with sharp claws and that was for me. As much as I liked it and found it hot, I didn’t want them to argue for me.

“Hey baby, it’s cool, seriously. You know me.” I tempted a huge and carefree grin, but his face was serious. “C’mon monkey, give me a smile and let’s enjoy the movie, k? Yo man, peace and love, is that cool?”

“No, it’s not cool and I was right when I said you’re just like him, your twin and twisted brother. Look at you; you just tried to threaten me using your stupid huge size. Pathetic.” He sneered at me and for a moment I froze, trying to think whether I really intended to threaten him or not, but all I could remember was my getting pissed for the way he attacked my boyfriend for no reason.

“Steven, shut up and apologize.” Jasper hissed and when I looked at me, my eyes popped out and almost rolled on the floor. He was standing straight and almost ready to jump forward and is face was tense and hard. I didn’t like to see him that angry, because I knew it wasn’t his nature and it pained him; therefore my hand went automatically on his back and rubbed it tenderly. He visibly relaxed and peeked at me smiling. “Uhm well, sorry for this, but..”

“Shh, no worries baby.”

“You’ll hurt him someday.” Mr. grumpy pants went on and this time I pushed Jas behind me and grabbed that dimwit’s jumper, not caring what he would think about me.

In that moment the other guys came from the kitchen and they froze there.

“Dima..” Jasper whispered probably now slightly worried. What a moron I was, losing my cool for something like this. I released the guy and snorted annoyed at my lack of coolness. Moron.

“Listen Stevie, sorry about this, but you just said something damn wrong. I will never hurt Jasper and that’s final. You don’t like me and I can live with that, but leave him out of this, don’t take it out to him, alright? Tell me whatever you want, that’s fine, but not a word to Jas.” My kitty loved his friends very much and arguing with them only saddened him to painful point. I knew that and this idiot here should have known it, too.

“Who the hell do you think you are?”

“Hey Stevie, cool it, will ya? We are here to watch a movie and have fun, since it’s freaking raining and we cannot go outside. Dima’s alright and pretty funny, so let’s chill, k?” Andy handed us a soda and tried a smile. I shrugged and smiled back, cheering with his can of Pepsi.

“Thanks, buddy.”

Pain-in-the-freaking-butt-Steven kept silent for few seconds, then took Jasper’s hand and munched out a sorry. He obviously ignored me, but couldn’t care less; I just didn’t exactly like the way he held my man’s hand and how his eyes lingered on his face and for a moment I had the dreadful doubt he might have a crush on Jas, but I brushed it off and told myself it was only my jealousy. Man, you have no idea how protective I became of my monkey and apparently this new side sharpened my senses and denseness.

We finally settled down and watched the darn movie and Jas snuggled in my arms now relaxing and letting go of all the tension; my arms went around him and I felt something, so I turned my gaze and met Steven’s unreadable eyes staring at us, but they soon turned away. Right, better keep an eye open, just as Sasha said.

“You ok now, Jas?” I whispered to him barely audible.

He peered up at me and smiled that brownies plus double cream and cherry on the top smile. Man, was he sweet and adorable.

“Yep, sorry about before..”

“It’s ok, you have nothing to be sorry for, k?” He nodded and nestled more cozily on me; Jas was sitting on the couch and his legs were over my laps, while his arms wrapped my torso and his head rested on my chest. This was blissful awesomeness, no kidding. I softly brushed his forehead with my lips and pulled him closer.

Me hurting Jasper?

Grumpy pants over there gotta be joking and be completely nuts. It wasn’t going to happen and period.

JASPER POV

Oh boy, that afternoon at Andy’s at first stressed me out incredibly, but with Dima there with me I felt like growing stronger and more confident and I almost shocked myself for the way I reacted towards Stevie. It wasn’t nice to be that aggressive, but his words angered me so much that I couldn’t keep calm and quiet; he had no right to insult him and he knew nothing about him and us. Dima would never hurt me. Never. That was plain silly and uncalled for and absolutely wrong.

After that day he called me and we talked long on the phone and made up; I was happy about it and after our chat, I immediately phoned Dima and told him and he cheered for me; same did Travis, but he seemed not entirely convinced, but just said to ignore it. Uhm well, I did as he said and in fact when Stevie and I met everything was fine and we did a bit of skateboarding one afternoon the rain decided to give us a break. Boy, did I miss it!

Today the sky was clear and the sun warmer than usual and therefore we decided to meet at our usual park and try some new tricks; Dima couldn’t come because had training and so Kevin decided to tag along and drive us there. Oh boy, he was really funny when he teased my tiger and even though it was clear he was doing that on the sole purpose to have fun, Dima would still react and call him with extremely hilarious nicknames. They were comical together.

My friends liked Kevin and he liked them, especially Stevie, saying he was quite the yummy bite; I giggled and shook my head, telling him my friend was straight.

“I won’t be that sure, if I were you hottie. I bet there is material to work with, believe me, and anyway, wasn’t your big boy straight until a couple of months ago?”

“Uhm well, yes, but well…alright, fine.” I gave up and he winked.

Kevin didn’t skateboard with us, simply watched and took a couple of pictures. We had a great time and Mike surprised us all with a new risky trick and boy, when he finished, we all jumped on him and tickled until he was begging for us to stop. Right when I was explaining my classmate a couple of things, my phone rang and it was Dima.

“Hey monkey, how you doing?”

“Hey, I’m great and you? You already finished training?” Uhm, that was strange.

“Nah, taking a break, but was just checking how things were and well, if I can make it, I might pass by and try out something. Of course, if you don’t mind it…” I understood why he called and couldn’t help my huge smile. He was worried about my recent arguments with Stevie and he wanted to make sure everything was fine. Boy, he was so sweet and thoughtful.

“Why would I mind it? We are at our usual spot and uhm..” Kevin waved his hand and winked. “Kevin says hi.”

“How is Texas guy doing?”

“Not skating today.” He chuckled at that and then snorted in Russian.

“Sorry Jas, gotta go, coach Garrison is yelling at me to drop the phone and get my ass back. Send you a message to let you know.”

“Ok, uhm…well, be good at training and uhm well, kisses to you.”

“To you, too, baby.” He shouted a “coming” and then the conversion was over. I looked at my phone and the battery had gone. Ugh, so annoying.

“Is the bear checking on you?” Stevie suddenly asked skating around me and making a perfect Ollie. His smile slightly dropped, but probably it was just my imagination.

“He just took a break from training.”

“From breaking each other’s bones?” He arched his brows.

Oh boy, he really didn’t like my boyfriend.

“Stevie, you know it’s not like that. You should come and see them playing; they are incredible and you would meet also Alex, River and Hayden.”

“Not interested and still wonder how you can like such a violent sport.”

“It’s not violent, only aggressive and quite manly. Plus, sure Alex and River are quite the view while they play.” Kevin had joined us and eyed my friend smirking. “Well, you are quite a view, too, to be fair.”

Stevie shot him a crooked glare and then rolled his eyes.

“Whatever, to me they are just a bunch a bloodthirsty animals. Coming or what?” He asked me.

“Stevie!”

“C’mon, can’t you tell I am joking?” He paddled away and I went to follow him; uhm, he said he was joking, but don’t know, his face wasn’t smiling.

We took a break and Kevin brought us something to drink and when I went to check my phone and try to turn it on, something clicked in my friend and he started insulting Dima again.

“Boy, will you please stop with that? Don’t call my boyfriend in that way.”

“Boyfriend…sure, a waste of time, that’s what he is. And you really think he’ll never hurt you or change his mind or cheat on you? What will happen when his curiosity will finish? He’ll dump you and forget about everything.”

Why was he saying such harsh and unfair things? Dmitri was nothing the way Steven described him; he was the exact opposite. I trusted him and knew he would never cheat on me. I had so many doubts and fears at the beginning and still had insecurities, because couldn’t bring myself to be more physical with him, but I passed that old phase and Dima always made me feel incredible, like a new and better Jasper. Why my friend kept insulting him and trying to instill doubts into me? Why wasn’t he happy for me the way Travis, Andy, Carlos and Mike were?

“That’s not true and just stop it. You know nothing about him. Dima is extremely sweet, caring, understanding and romantic and he always makes sure I’m good. When I am with him I can finally feel more confident and secure; why can’t you see that? I like him so much and he likes me in the same way.”

“That’s bull, Jazz and you know that.”

“No, stop it Stevie, I don’t want to hear another word about that.” Why was he behaving like that?

My other friends and Kevin stared at us without knowing what to do or say and when my friend just scoffed and rolled his eyes, I turned my back at him and went to skate away, but the stopped me and forced me to whirl facing him.

“Jazz, please don’t go and please open your eyes. You are wasting time with that blockhead.”

“Shut up.” I shouted now shivering with anger and feeling my head spinning fast. Oh boy, I so didn’t like to feel in this way, but now I couldn’t control it. “I like Dima and we are together and nothing else matters.”

“Are you so sure about that?” He provoked now looking at me in a way he never did. Was this really the same old friend I knew since I could remember?

“Stevie, what’s wrong? Why do you dislike him so much?”

He sneered and gripped my arm harder and I winced, trying to set it free, but he resisted my struggle. What was his problem?

“Are you really sure nothing will ever break you two apart?”

“Yes.” I said firmly.

He scowled and then smirked.

“We’ll see about that.”

Oh boy.

It happened so fast and out of the blue that I didn’t even realized what was occurring and at first I just gasped and pulled back, but he yanked me towards me and his mouth painfully clashed against mine and felt his tongue trying to pry inside.

I froze completely shocked and paralyzed for a couple of second, as if the life had been sucked away from me. What was happening? Oh boy, was he out of mind? Wh-what..what was he doing?

Stevie was kissing me.

Nope.

He wasn’t kissing me; he was trying to, because my lips instinctively clenched shut and then when I finally snapped out of it, I pushed him away with all my force and shock and anger and confusion and hurt and furiously rubbed my mouth with the back of my hand, as to desperately clean it. Oh boy, what he had just done? I..I…no…I was with Dima and this couldn’t happen. I liked Dima, he was my boyfriend and I wanted to kiss only him. I.. I loved Dima.

Steven was breathing harshly and set my arm free and then smirked with a twisted grimace. This wasn’t my old friend. Why he did that?

“Wh-wh-what did you do? Why?” I whispered feeling like throwing up.

He smirked more and tried to tug me towards him again, but I pushed him back and then his eyes focused on something behind me.

Panic and dread drenched my bones and my nerves and when I slowly turned around, Dima’s blazing and crazed eyes struck me there. He was visibly shivering with rage, his mouth and jaw were clasped in a thin and hard line, along with his fists shaking at his sides. I never saw him that mad and I felt my whole world crumbling apart.

Oh boy, what had just happened?

No!!! Not this.

“Dima..” I tried to say, wanting to explain, but he cut me off at once, flaring his nostrils and widening his eyes as if wanting to burn holes.

“WHAT. THE. HELL?” Dima demanded with growling furious voice.
