DMITRI POV

I heard the words of the movie in the room and humming in the background, but I couldn’t concentrate on them and couldn’t even understand what they were talking about. Probably some sci-fi or fantasy movie, something we picked at the usual DVD store, but something now was distracting me and the words from the screen were my last thought.

That scent, a mix of freshly sweet cream-chocolate and watery cool mint, was tingling my nose and my nostrils wanted to inhale all of it, because it refreshed me, but at the same time lured me to follow it. It was all over me and then I felt that messy and soft head brushing my legs and jeans and my eyes searched for it, not seeing clear around me. Why was that? The room was in semi-dark and the source of light was the TV in front of the couch.

I looked down and he was there, stretched long on the couch and resting his head on my laps, softly rubbing my knee while watching the movie.

What was the movie about? I couldn’t make it out, all I could think about was that perfume and the teasing tingles the touch gave me and how they slowly travelled my entire body and how they grew stronger when my hand went between that chocolate mess of hair, running between them, and then wanting to feel the skin, my hand went for the neck and it felt really soft and warm. He steered and turned his sweet and smiling eyes at me, and I couldn’t help but grin and bend over him.

He murmured something and I felt more tingles travelling my body, now stronger and almost electric. I wanted to kiss those lips, because they were inviting and the tender smile on them just asked for that.

My hand tightened on his hair, while the other slipped under his t-shirt, wanting to feel more of his warm skin. A soft and muffled sound escaped his inviting lips and my blood burst mad in me, along with those electric shivers, telling me to kiss him and kiss him hard.

My head and mouth descended slowly, savoring and enjoying the sound of his breath growing thicker and heavier, just like mine; savoring and enjoying the view of his dark chocolate eyes sparkling with something that wasn’t only sweetness. They widened and then smirked. Man, his eyes smirked at me and let our noses touch and brush, a breath away from his lips. His fingers tangled in my hair and stroked them in that soothing but exciting way, having me close my eyes to feel it deeper.

I groaned and hummed almost brushing his lips, my breath getting harder, his touch more teasing, while his other hand slipped on the waist band of my jeans, teasing my skin that was now burning and aching for his touch. My hand moved further and caressed him harder. His warm breath and moan washed my lips and I was hard as rock.

“Jasper…” I groaned.

I jerked open my eyes, not able to resist longer, and assaulted his lips and ….

BEEP... BEEP ... BEEP…

I kicked away duvet and sheets and sprang up sitting on my bed. I ran my hands that were shaking on my slightly sweaty hair, furiously rubbing them and trying to calm down my hard breathing and heart beat. Man, the problem to calm down wasn’t my heart beat, but what was going on down there.

I swallowed down hard.

What have I just dreamed about?

The alarm beeped again and I punched it shut. Just shut up, you’re so damn loud as first thing in the morning. Damn, it just crashed under the punch, sweet; well this time wasn’t my phone, so who cares about a stupid alarm. Another problem was now more important here.

I swallowed down hard another time and grabbed harder my hair. I listened to my breathing somehow slowing and calming down, but that was the only thing going calmer; the rest of my body and mind were on fire.

I had dreamed of Jasper and in the dream we were about to kiss and his hands were touching me and sending me crazy. I liked it in there…the hell, I loved it and I could still feel it on my skin, running in my system. Damn it, I even moaned his name.

I pulled my hair harder and groaned frustrated; this gotta be a joke. I had a wet dream about my friend. My friend? My hands ruffled more furiously my hair and then almost punched my head. Right, a friend that had me hard and I knew it wasn’t just in the dream.

Who was I kidding? Since my last disaster-date I thought of any stupid and little excuse to be around him and try to touch Jas, to see if the problem was that I picked the wrong chick or if chicks weren’t making me anymore edgy. I still didn’t know, but I damn knew my body enjoyed being close to Jasper and that he made it more than edgy.

I swallowed down another time and scratched my neck. I needed to talk again to Sasha, he had been there before and he could help me understand if this was a phase or something else; maybe River as well, but no, that was another story man; my mate has been gay since forever. Now the last thing I wanted was to freak out Jas, but hey, I was lucky that he didn’t mind my attitudes and my being close.

My lower part was quite the happy and hard one right now and man, had to run to bathroom, because all of this thinking and remembering the dream, his scent and hands on me, his suffocated moans and the way his eyes smirked, well, got me more bursting.

I washed my hands and face with cold water and looked at myself in the mirror. Man, are you getting funny thoughts about Jasper? Why now? I mean, you know him for months, so why now? When did I start feeling good once close to him? Good? Let’s say it straight, excited. Damn if I knew. I shook my head and decided I was going to bug my best buddy.

JASPER POV

Nic had to go back to Los Angeles Monday morning and I already missed my brother. With him there I had been able to face and ask mother without getting hugely nervous about going to Aspen with uhm, Dima and his family. At first she said no and I sank so deep and down that I thought the ground had swallowed me inside it, but then Nic helped me to persuade her and father surprised me another time, saying it was a good idea to have me have a weekend with the Denisov family, since they had been his clients and saw that as a polite gesture towards them. Mother considered the idea and eventually decided for a yes and boy, I think my face went not red, but way redder.

Oh boy, I was really going to spend a weekend with Dima in Aspen. Then the idea of his twin brother froze me.

They looked alike, uhm, that was true, but at the same time they looked completely different. It was like to look at a dark and shadowy image of Dima, looking sneering and mocking, not funny and grinning. I saw what Alex talked about, the hair style. Anatoly had his hair in that Mohican style my friend talked about, completely shaved at the sides and kept longer and straight at the center. His eyes had the light-blue tone, but they looked so distant, so … cold and tired. Uhm, what was I thinking about? But when he first saw me in the kitchen and didn’t recognize me, his face looked weary. And I didn’t miss the exasperated tension between them.

I shook my head, because uhm, this was non-sense. I felt really sorry for Dima and the fact he missed his brother and it was the same for his parents, especially his father, had the same tired and grieved look. I felt sorry for the situation, but boy, I wasn’t able to forget the way he beat us all and the way his friends and he threatened us, the way he mocked and sneered at us, kicking my friend and I on the ground. I think that was also what was biting Dima inside, the fact of being torn in two, between missing his brother and the bound they shared years ago and the fact he couldn’t forgive what he had become and done.

I wished to help him, with all my heart, but uhm well, I had no idea how and I was afraid that asking too many questions might only make him sadder. Since we met, his face never had that expression of last week.

I sighed and decided to think about something else, boy, didn’t need to get all depressed about it and couldn’t wait to see him at lunch. My friends wanted to meet today and maybe I could invite Dima with us, he said he enjoyed last time and was curios to try few things with the skateboard. He wasn’t bad at all, for someone that wasn’t into that, but then again, he loved to snowboard; he was good at slaloming and changing from head to tail and some other little things, but quite a disaster with the most simple tricks.

He was funny on a skateboard, with his huge and bulky body, trying to make the board flip and rotate and then groaning frustrated when not able to do it; I chuckled at the idea, Dima was hilarious even there, because he would curse and then simply shrug his shoulders and laugh at himself.

“What are you laughing about?” Kevin asked leaning his head on the desk and on his crossed arms.

“Uhm, nothing.” He crooked his brows and pursed his lips together, in his typical weird smirk.

“You were thinking about the big boy, weren’t you?” The intense blue of his eyes flashed amused and one hand reached for my neck, making me giggle with tickle. “Ya, you were, hottie.”

“I just thought about him with a skateboard.” I admitted.

“The mighty Dmitri with a skateboard? Ha, that’s quite an interesting view; he gives me the idea of being bad at that. Am I right, lover boy?”

I widened my eyes at his nickname and then giggled more; I was slowly getting used to his ways of talking and acting, and boy that sure needed time, but I was beginning to like Kevin very much and even if my friends said he was serious with me, I didn’t think so. He seemed to joke almost about everything, so I was sure he was joking about me, too. Nic thought to not overly worry about him, said to worry about something else, but didn’t understand what he meant.

“Boy, lover boy is a bit ..”

“Over the edge?”

“Well uhm, yep…” We both chuckled and he admitted it actually wasn’t the best pet name of his vocabulary.

“So you really are into skateboarding, right?” I nodded at his question. “Never really tried it, I am more into basketball or horse riding and I bet your big boy will sort out an entire repertoire of jokes if he knew it.”

“You really are into horse riding?” Well, uhm, that was new.

“Ya, so he isn’t totally wrong in calling me cowboy. My grandparents have a huge ranch and that’s where I spent all of my summers and where I learnt it. It’s awesome and even went to see few rodeos.” He smirked and winked, brushing back his dark hair. “Hey, I’ll show you a video one day, when you’re free and feel like hanging together.”

“Boy, yeah, sounds funny.” I thought about videos and looked for my phone. “Uhm, I have a video of me skateboarding that Travis took weeks ago.”

“Let me see.” He watched the video and he smiled and shook his head. “Jasper, you are very good and you look extremely sexy and yummy while skating, I might come and watch one day.” He looked at the pictures and saw my friends. “The other guys you talk about?”

“Yep, that’s Mike and Adam and that one is Carlos and the other one is Stevie.”

“Hmm, Stevie sure is another eye-candy. Will he be interested in taking a student?” Kevin joked and bit his lip in quite a mischievous way.

“Kevin, my friends are all straight.”

“Oh well, a pity, but hey, being straight doesn’t mean anything Jasper.” He handed me back my phone and studied my face. “You told me that Aleksandr was straight before meeting Travis, right? And right now he sure isn’t 100%, even if he gives me the idea of being gay exclusively for his man. They look great together, can’t deny how hot both are. Both have really fine butts.”

I almost laughed out loud at his comment at Alex’s butt and mostly at Travis’s, because if Alex would hear him, he wouldn’t think twice before telling him off. Uhm well, I think Kevin already got that and he dropped at first any joke or comment with my friend.

At lunch I didn’t see Dima again and River told me he got called back for falling asleep in class. Derek and Hayden burst out laughing and holding their stomach and I giggled quite a lot myself.

“The dude is hopeless. How can you fall asleep during biology?”

“He has quite a talent for that and hates biology, so have your idea.” River looked at me for a moment, as if trying to see something and then smiled in his usual way. I smiled back and then Travis jumped on my back and greeted Kevin, which started having lunch with us almost every day.

We sat after getting something to eat and suddenly a hand coming from behind me sneaked away my drink and then I felt another ruffling my hair, the chair beside me scratching the floor and when I turned to meet his smiling eyes, my face was bright red. He drank some of my juice and then sprawled back and all large, his long legs stretching out.

“Man, so happy it’s already lunch time.” Dima gave me back my juice, which I drank automatically to calm down my heart beat and he winked. “Hey, indirect kiss.”

A bit of it went down in the wrong way and I almost chocked, coughing like a lunatic. Oh boy, wh-what he just said?? He patted my back and loomed closer studying my face and still patting my back.

“You ok, Jas?”

“Uhm…yes..sure.”

Travis shot me a half concerned and half amused glance and then shook his head. Kevin smirked and offered me a bit of water, but I was already fine. Oh boy, they both understood the reason of my almost chocking and I bet right now my cheeks were almost purple. Why was everyone so sharp and clever? River as well knew it; he didn’t have to tell me and was glad he didn’t ask anything, but boy, who would miss the sarcasm behind his jokes? I put down the juice and tried to eat something, peering at Dima, in case he would say something else, but he was busy with his food, so I bit my sandwich.

I heard Derek and Kevin talking about basket and seemed that my classmate had the intention to try out the team and I was honestly curios to see if he was good at playing. Uhm, Derek was incredible.

“Are you going to join the club?” I asked him. Dima snapped his head at me and glared in a uhm, strange way and I sort of smiled; he immediately flashed a warm huge grin and messed my hair.

“I don’t know, want to see it first, but Derek here says they’re awesome.”

“That’s because we are awesome. Isn’t that right, guys?”

“Considering you guys just bounce a ball around, yeah, sure, you’re awesome.” Hayden was intentionally teasing his friend and gained a punch for that, but bet he felt close to nothing. Alex chuckled and surprisingly talked to Kevin, even if for just few words.

“Derek is great, don’t worry and they have some other players that are quite good. You should give it a try.” He smirked and then went back to Travis.

“Then I might come today and try it. Hey hottie, want to come with me and stay for practice?” Kevin winked at me.

Oh boy, first cutie and then hottie. Would this ever end?

A strong and solid arm casually went over my shoulders and felt his knee brushing my tight. Dima was just resting a leg over the other, completely relaxed and slumped back. It took me few second to answer, to find a normal tone of voice.

“Uhm well, not today, sorry, my friends asked to go skateboarding and since it’s sunny and nice I don’t..”

“Man, mind if I come? I haven’t tried anything in months, since last time, and you still have to teach me a couple of tricks.”

“Oh, I’m sure cutie will love to teach you a couple of … tricks.” I shot a dark glare to Travis, obviously not mad, but he just smiled and played for a moment with his piercing.

“Sure, I actually wanted to ask you, uhm well, if you’re free…” He grinned and nodded.

His arm was still around me and now his knee was completely resting on my thigh. It was jeans over jeans, but still felt the touch and felt the hardness of the muscles and something tightened in me. I looked away from his leg and met River’s amused stare. I shifted them away again and stopped on Kevin.

“Sorry, maybe tomorrow?” I felt bad for always telling him no, but he just beamed.

“Dude, tomorrow we don’t have practice.”

“Don’t worry Jasper, another day, we have all the time we want and maybe I can be the one teaching you something about basketball.” He snatched away a couple of fries from my plate.

“Teaching what, cowboy? How to ride a bull?” Dima had rolled his eyes and snorted something in Russian. Boy, he surely didn’t like him.

“You’d be surprised by the amount of things I could teach Jasper…quite interesting actually..” Uhm, he was trying to provoke him, but didn’t get why; it was almost impossible to annoy or tease Dima.

“Well, bet I could teach YOU some interesting things, if you catch what I am saying.”

Uhm well, maybe not so impossible.

DEREK POV

“Well, bet I could teach YOU some interesting things, if you catch what I am saying.”

My eyes popped out of my head and I heard River and Travis sniggering softly; Alex shot a surprised glance to our friend and even that dofus of Hayden snapped out of my sister’s world and looked at Dima.

Dude, he had just snapped out big time and almost threatened someone apparently for no reasons, someone that wasn’t a piece of junk like Collins and company, but simply flirting with a friend of us; and believe me, that was something as rare as his As. So, let’s make it clear, almost impossible. I tried to wipe away the amused grin on my face, because I was about to start laughing and probably rolling on the floor. Life without our Russian bear would be boring, seriously.

Dima had changed stance at once and was now sitting straight and all big, almost flexing the muscles of his arms and shoulders. River faked a cough and when I peeked at my other friends I saw them still looking at him. Even Hayden had realized something was off with our huge bear, so have your idea. I mean, Hayden who didn’t realize a thing about Alex. Well, now it was crystal clear the dude was gone for cutie and Dima was never subtle in his things. And I mean, way, way, way gone.

Did he even realize that himself?

“I don’t think so.” River whispered to me and I glared at him.

“Dude, you really do read minds, know that? You’re eerie sometimes.” I murmured back.

“It doesn’t take that much, just had to look at your face, Dee. And no, he hasn’t realized that himself, at least not that much. Although, he is starting to open his eyes, because he is more aware of his actions and did you just see the way he was sitting around Jas?”

“Trying to mark the territory?” I joked.

“Hmm, interesting expression.”

Dima and Kevin exchanged a couple of lines, but the new guy was clearly only teasing him and he was doing a great job. Jasper was about to explode and he had reached a purplish degree of red and I just wished to go and ruffle his hair to ease him down. But he actually surprised all of us and ended that sweet exchange of words.

“Uhm, boy…you guys are giving me headache, can’t even follow you.” He blurted out suddenly, having those two stopping and staring at him, for then laughing their ass off. “What’s so funny? I am not joking and uhm, I’m tired.”

Our huge bear shook his head and hooked Jas’s neck with his bulky arm, apparently in a friendly gesture, but I didn’t miss the satisfied expression on his face when cutie leaned on him and let him do as he pleased. They were so damn obvious, but so damn dense. I wasn’t sure if the problem with my friend was the fact he had been straight his entire life and guess it wasn’t so easy to discover out of the blue you liked a guy. Dima never thought about something for too long, his brain would go out of work, but was the person to go and act, so I dreadfully thought that …

“That dense dofus, he thinks Jasper sees him just as a friend. Can someone be denser than him? We have reached a new Guinness record.” River snorted, fishing his phone and writing a message to someone. Seriously, the dude here was eerie. He had read my mind a second time; I was beginning to believe in Jedi and force, too.

DMITRI POV

Teaching Jasper something…he gotta be kidding, seriously. Who the hell he thought he was? Couldn’t he go back to that damn ranch in Texas and just leave Jas alone? Man, this was ridiculous and .. what the hell was doing that retarded? Move away from there. Argh...stupid mental drivers.

“You idiot and your idiotic car.” I snorted, shifting gear and taking over.

Jasper giggled and went to change CD. What was I thinking about? I don’t remember. I wanted to ask him few things, but not sure how he would react to that, so drop it for the moment. And anyway, Jasper was coming to Aspen with us and couldn’t wait for that. Today I didn’t have the chance to talk to Sasha, but he picked something was off with me and invited me over for dinner. Too bad I couldn’t tonight.

We reached the park where they usually go skateboard and parked the car somewhere that looked safe; we had stopped before at his place, which I shouldn’t be calling just place, but mansion, and picked up a couple of skateboards. His house was big and always gave me a cold feeling and he admitted it was the same for him. Not fair, man, but it was his family.

“Your friends are already here?”

“Yep…” He looked around and spotted a group of kids. “There they are.”

Man, I damn hoped to remember the right names, because didn’t want to seem an idiot right in front of his friends.

“Yo mate.” A guy with curly dark hair and golden-brown eyes greeted me and patted my arm. Err, that was Carlos right?

“Hey man, how is it going?”

“Not bad, what about you?”

“Same old, same old.”

“Jasper, great to see you.” Two guys jumped on him and tickled him. Why everyone had to jump and tickle Jasper?

“Oh boy, stop it…” I think those were Mike and Andy, quite the mix of skater boy and emo, but funny kids and badass with the board. “Uhm, where is Stevie?”

“Here I am, Jas.” A guy with dirty blonde hair and grey-green eyes waved to him and then stared at me somehow pissed. Right, forgot he sort of didn’t like him, but didn’t get the reason. He almost sneered at me and then snatched Jasper away. Err…the hell? “You brought the bear with you?”

“Stevie, I promised to teach him a couple of tricks.” Jas said, looking uneasy. I didn’t like that and looked at the guy trying to smile, just to ease him down.

“Man, what’s up? Maybe I’ll learn today how to make an Ollie.” I joked and he scoffed, his gaze seizing from head to toe. What was his problem? Ah, whatever, couldn’t care less, as long as he didn’t make Jasper uncomfortable.

“You learning an Ollie? Is that joke?” He shot me another dirty glare and then jumped on his skateboard and made some badass trick. Show off. “C’mon Jazz, my Impossible is now almost perfect.”

“Steven..” He gasped and then smiled at me as to say sorry. I shrugged my shoulders, didn’t care about the guy; we can’t get along with everybody, that I knew it. “Uhm, so want to try something?”

“I’ll sit for now and watch you, then I’ll try something.”

For now I was ok with just looking. The guys were awesome, but nothing compared to Jasper.

Man.

Was that the same Jasper?

He was another person when skating; all his shyness, his timid and careful side, his doubts and fears suddenly disappeared. His smile was wider and brighter and was damn attractive. He took speed and slalomed a bit around some obstacles and then jumped up, made the skateboard roll in the air and landed on it crossing his legs.

I stood there looking at him as if it was the first time seeing him. Yes, right, it was like seeing Jasper for the first time, seeing the real hidden Jasper. I swallowed down and took a deep breath; suddenly my dream came back to me and pictured him, with that carefree and damn hot smirk straddling me and leaning over to kiss me. Damn.

What the hell was I thinking about? Jas sitting astride me? Man, but that would be hot. Shit. I needed to talk to Sasha and soon.

My eyes followed every single action and couldn’t leave his figure. He skated more, turned his board from head to tail, and then back, somehow flipped it around, and shot me one of the brightest smiles I have ever seen on his face. I swallowed down hard. Was this the same Jasper? It was like seeing another one, still the same, but not shy and timid. I have always liked that side of him, found it cute and sweet, but this new side of him messed me up big time, because it was damn exciting, my whole body was stirring and tightening.

Oh crap.

Jasper was … damn hot. Oh man, I really just called a dude hot, right? I peeked at him and looked at his messy hazel hair, his eyes shining with excitement and happiness, smiling free and completely open, looking confident and in full control of his actions; then they travelled to his lips, the lips that got me hard in my dream. Damn, they had a smirk, something that was inviting for real.

He skated towards me, leaned down and moved around me, jumping again on the board and stopping right in front of me, one foot on the ground, the other on the skateboard, his eyes gleaming confident and free.

“Hey Dima, want to try something?” Very much yes, but I made it to shut up in time and simply grinned at him.

“Man, you look awesome. What was that trick you did?”

He explained me and then handed me his skateboard and told me how to flip it over and made it rotate in the air, but it wasn’t very easy. Snowboarding was different, the board was attached to your feet and you didn’t have to make it flip like this one. I tried few times, but sucked big time, then tried again and Jas showed me some more and I stared at him probably looking like a dofus. I gave another try and this time it somehow worked and made a semi decent Ollie. Jasper cheered bouncing up and down and then jumped on my neck.

I swallowed down hard. It was the same scent as in my dream.

“You made it, you made it, you made it.” He was giggling and hugging me.

“Thanks Jas, that’s all because of you.” My arms acted instinctively and hugged him back, pulling him up, given he was shorter than me.

We bumped our foreheads together and then laughed. When we stopped we exchanged a long smiling look, Jas still hanging on my neck, his hair tickling my forehead. Man, Jasper wasn’t cute…Jasper was damn hot. He then widened his eyes and blushed like hell, stuttering something like “uhm, sorry” and pulling away. Right, I couldn’t freak him out.

His friends patted my shoulders satisfied and I tried again the same trick, over and over, then the grumpy pants came over and stared at me as if I was a pile of crap. Oh well, whatever.

“So, managed to learn something, dofus?”

“Dude, what’s your problem?” I asked him. Why was he such a pain in the ass with me? We didn’t know each other.

“Don’t act all naïve, unless you want to prove what they say about blondes.” He snorted and I shrugged it off. “I cannot stand you; you just act like it’s nothing. What do you know about Jasper? Just because you have lunch with him, doesn’t mean you know anything him. You just look like that bastard.”

“Hey, we don’t look the same and he already got from me something for beating Jas.” I knew he meant my twin brother.

“You got him something?” He hissed. “What do you know about Jasper and about what happened two years ago, ha? Your brother and his friends kept beating the light out of us and in particular of Jasper, just because he was the shortest and most timid. You know, he kept kicking him and insulting him when on the ground and we couldn’t do anything, because they were all damn big pieces of crap. And you are just the same.”

I grabbed his jumper and jerked him an inch from my face. No one was going to tell me I looked the same as that twisted bastard.

“We are not the same and if anyone will dare as much as thinking of hurting Jasper, he’ll have to face me.” Now my blood was boiling and this grumpy idiot just managed to annoy me quite much.

“See? You are all the same, you can only punch, not talk.” He snatched the jumper away and sneered at me. “He’s just wasting his time with you. Did you ever consider the idea that while Jasper looks at you, he might see in you your damn twin brother?”

That hit me damn badly. I never thought about that, because Anatoly and I were completely different, like day and night, but … did Jas saw that bastard when he looked at me?

“Uhm, Dima, Stevie, you ok?” He stopped beside us and his eyes flicked from his friend to me, not understanding what was going on.

“Yeah man, sorry.” I said, feeling an idiot for losing my cool and still thinking about that question.

“You’re wasting your time, Jas. Give up and soon, will you? I am out of here, got enough dose of idiocy for today.”

“Stevie, what are you talking about? Hey, don’t talk like that with Dima.” Oh no, I wasn’t going to let him have a fight with his friend over me, not that.

“Jas is ok, I don’t mind it. It’s cool, can’t have everyone liking me.”

“Uhm, but..” I tempted a wide grin and then went to ruffle his hair, but stopped.

Was it because he saw in me Anatoly that he would fidget nervously sometimes around me? I swallowed down hard, feeling something hitting me badly. The idea hurt very damn much.

Crap, why I never thought about that before? I was an idiot.

Author's chit-chat:

So, what will happen after what Stevie said to Dima? Will Dima stay away from Jasper?

Well, sure Steven isn't quite a sweetheart, right? So, what you think of him?
