Chapter 2835
When His Eyes Opened
Hazel then went to the dressing room to change her clothes.
Unexpectedly, the senior sister was still there.
Hazel thought of what the staff said to her just now, so she couldnât help talking to Sloane: âSenior
sister, why donât you get off work?â
âThere is no taxi available at this time.â Sloane showed a gentle smile to Hazel, âHazel, I
misunderstood you before. The classmates around me said that you got this internship through your
relationship, and I thought you were like that before, but now that I watched your show, I changed my
opinion.â
Although Hazel no longer cared so much about what the outside world thought of her, she felt very
happy when she heard what her senior sister said.
Hazel: âSenior sister, youâre also great. I also watched your show tonight.â
âHahaha, didnât you have to memorize the script back then? You didnât take it seriously!â Sloane
teased.
âI came here after 10 oâclock in the evening. When your show was broadcast, I had almost recited it.â
Hazel unbuttoned her coat and prepared to change clothes.
Sloane: âHazel, do you live near the university? At this point, there is no bus or subway, how do you
plan to go back?â
Hazel was stunned for a moment, then said: âIâll take a taxi.â
Sloane: âIt is very expensive to take a taxi back to university. I plan to stay here until after 6 oâclock and
take the subway back.â
Hazel blushed and explained: âBecause itâs my first time to work, my parents are more worried about
me, so they gave me the taxi fare.â
âOhâ¦it seems that your familyâs conditions are really good.â Sloane was envious, âDid you know that
there will be a popularity selection for trainee anchors? I asked the staff, and the staff said that the
most popular intern anchors in previous years were all able to sign formal employment contracts with
the station.â
Hazel: âOh, it seems that it hasnât started yet?â
âThe voting channel will open at 12 noon tomorrow. Real-name voting, one ID card can only cast one
vote.â Sloane was a little worried, âI havenât figured out how to solicit votes yet, do you have a
solution?â
Hazel shook her head:â If you hadnât told me this, I wouldnât have known about it!â
âOh, your parents should be very supportive of your work, and they will definitely help you canvass for
votes, right? I canât do it, my parents are both from the countryside.â Sloane felt a little regretful, âI really
envy your good family.â
Hazel wanted to say something, but she didnât want to lie.
So she changed quickly, then picked up her phone and checked.
Hazel: âSenior sister, the car I called has arrived downstairs, Iâm leaving first.â
âYou go! Be careful!â Sloane watched Hazel leave.
â¦â¦
When Hazel came home, she didnât expect her parents and brother to be waiting for her in the living
room.
Hazel was both moved and guilty.
âWhy donât you go to bed? I work the night shift alone, and you all stay up all night, and I will feel very
uncomfortable.â Hazel put down her bag and pulled her parents up from the sofa.
âWe slept through and didnât get up until almost 3 oâclock.â Avery explained with a smile, âToday is your
first day at work, and we are quite excited. Next time you go to work, we wonât stay up late.â
âOkay! Now get some rest! Before dawn, there are still a few hours!â Hazel urged.
âAre you hungry? Would you like something to eat?â Avery asked.
Hazel replied, âIâm not hungry. I just want to sleep now.â
âThen go to bed quickly. Wash your face first before going to bed.â Avery reminded her as she looked
at the makeup on her daughterâs face.
Hazel: âUm.â
After watching her parents go back to the room, Hazel turned to look at Robert: âBrother, you should go
to sleep too! I really didnât expect that you would be waiting for me at home.â
