Chapter 1953
When His Eyes Opened
Avery was so full of thoughts that she couldnât think of anything else except him.
âAvery, are you guys in the basement, clarifying the misunderstanding?â Ben Schaffer asked, looking at
Elliotâs shirt in her hand.
âHe said he has always loved meâ¦â Avery burst into tears, her voice trembling, âMe too⦠Me too!â
Ben Schaffer was stuck in his throat, wanting to say something, but felt that he could say anything.
Now Elliotâs whereabouts are unknown, and his life and death are unknown. Letting her know that Elliotâs
love for her has never changed, it will only make her more miserable.
After Avery cried for a while, she fell asleep because of her weakness.
Ben Schaffer and Chad came out of the ward, and the two of them exhaled heavily.
âBrother Ben, what should I do?â Chad felt like a knife, âIf I canât find the boss, Iâm really afraid that Avery
wonât be able to come out.â
âI donât know what to do.â Ben Schaffer had a splitting headache. âI feel that Elliot is no longer in
Yonroeville. No one has contacted us for so many days since he had an accident, indicating that the
person who took him does not want us to find him.â
Chad took off his glasses and reached out to wipe his tears.
Ben Schaffer leaned against the wall of the corridor, thought for a while, and then said: âYou take Avery
back to Aryadelle first, and when she returns to the child, maybe her mood will be better.â
âWhat if she doesnât want to?â
Avery has to let her go back to Aryadelle if she doesnât want to! Otherwise, in a few days, she will
recover a little, and she will definitely try to escape from the hospitalâ¦â Ben Schaffer paused when he
said that, âHayden didnât pack a special plane. Really? Letâs send Avery back to Aryadelle today!â
Chad: âBrother Ben, letâs calm down first! Sheâs already uncomfortable enough. If we force her to return
to Aryadelle, she will definitely do extreme things.â
âIâm really not very calm now.â As long as Ben Schaffer closed his eyes, the dark basement and Averyâs
grief-stricken cry would appear in his mind.
Chad: âLetâs take her to that basement tomorrow! If we donât take her back to the scene, sheâll be there
too.â
Ben: âOkay! Weâll see how she is tomorrow.â
The next morning , Avery woke up and saw Hayden sitting beside the hospital bed.
âMom, do you want to go to that basement?â Hayden asked, âIf you want to go, I can take you there.â
Avery nodded after listening to Haydenâs words.
âThen you eat breakfast first.â Hayden took out the warm porridge he brought and fed her spoonfuls.
After breakfast, Hayden took Avery into a wheelchair and sat down, then pushed her out of the hospital.
More than an hour later, the car stopped at the crime scene.
The road to the bungalow was leveled, and along with it, there was the bungalow.
Avery looked at the ruins in front of her, and the expression on her face became stunned.
âMom, Iâll take you to see that basement.â Hayden pushed the wheelchair and walked a few meters
forward.
In front of him, a huge pit appeared.
It was the basement that trapped Avery and Elliot.
âElliot is no longer here.â Hayden looked at the pit in front of him and said to his mother.
