Chapter 1837
When His Eyes Opened
Averyâs eyes paled.
âAre you afraid that I canât make a bid?â she asked suspiciously.
âMiss Tate, Iâll accept the information, but I donât need the money.â The detective explained, âMr. Foster
has approached me. He gave me a photo of Haze. Because there is too little information, there has
been no progress. Now I have you. I will look for the supplementary information. However, my team
and I are not looking for it in Aryadelle now.â
Avery: âWhy?â
âThe information that Mr. Foster gave me, the child may be sold to small countries around Yonroeville.
Not so far from Aryadelle.â
Avery: âBut the clue I got was that the child was sold to Aryadelle.â
âIs the information you got authentic?â The detective asked.
âHow can I be sure of this?â Avery frowned, âGo to Aryadelle to find it. I can give you as much money
as Elliot gives you.â
A smile appeared on the detectiveâs face: âMiss Tate, you know him, how much will you offer me?â
âI donât know. But I saw his worth from last yearâs rich list. I can also offer the price he can offer.â Avery
said firmly.
The detectiveâs look at Avery suddenly deepened.
The detective: âSince Miss Tate is so arrogant, I will do my best.â
Avery said, âItâs hard work for you! Haze and my daughter Layla looked a lot alike when they were
young. I donât believe she will change a lot when she grows up. Looking for the photo of my daughter
Layla, it shouldnât go wrong.â
âOkay.â
After the two of them chatted, the detective came out of Averyâs house.
After getting in the car, the detective called Elliot.
The detective: âMiss Tate is looking for me.â
âI knew Avery would look for you.â Everything was within Elliotâs expectations, âDid you tell her?â
The detective said, âYes. But she thinks that the child may be in Aryadelle. Let me find it in Aryadelle.
Mr. Foster, Miss Tate said that she saw your ranking and worth on the rich list last year, and she said
that it doesnât matter what you give me. She can charge the same price at any price. Is she really that
rich?â
Elliot: âArenât you a detective? If she has money, you can find out if you investigate privately?â Elliot
retorted.
The detective said embarrassedly: âI havenât heard that Miss Tate is so rich. But I donât think sheâs
joking with me when I look at Miss Tate.â
Elliot: âAccording to the information I got, her life is very difficult now.â
The detective: âOh . â¦Thatâs it!â
Elliot said, âShe asked you to look for it in Aryadelle, then you can look for it in Aryadelle. What else did
she say to you?â
The detective: âShe said to find it according to Laylaâs appearance.â
Elliot: âDo as she said.â
After Elliot finished the call, the office door was knocked open.
Chad walked in. He drank last night and had a headache this morning, so he didnât come to the
company in the morning.
He just arrived at the company and felt it necessary to talk to Elliot in person.
âAre you feeling better?â Elliot asked immediately when he saw Chad.
Chad listened to the bossâs concerned greetings, and his heart was very painful.
The boss is obviously a good person, why would he do such a despicable thing?
Did he ever think that Avery might hear the fake recording?
âWhat are you doing in a daze?â Elliot raised his voice a few times when he saw him in a trance. âAfter
you sent me a message last night, I contacted Avery and planned to give her a child support payment,
but she refused.â
âOhâ¦â Chad was not surprised at all.
