Chapter 1763
When His Eyes Opened
âI have no plans to return to Aryadelle for the time being.â Avery took a piece of mutton and put it in the
Hayden bowl.
Tammy: âOh⦠During the winter vacation, let Layla come to Bridgedale to find you.â
Tammy understood her reluctance to return to Aryadelle.
Avery: âIâm afraid Elliot wonât let me.â
When Avery mentioned Elliotâs name, she was a little tongue-tied. Probably because the relationship with
him is so bad now that every time she thinks of him, she wonders if they ever really loved him. But she
seldom thinks of him now.
Itâs not like she quarreled and broke up with him before, when she thought of him, her heart felt a lot of
pain. Now she didnât feel too sad, except that she rarely thinked of him.
As long as Hayden was still by her side, as long as Avery could see Layla and Robert occasionally, she
would feel satisfied.
This was all she could get.
âMom, Iâll pick Layla up when she is on her winter vacation.â Hayden said.
Elliot didnât let Avery get close to Layla, could it be possible to keep Hayden from getting close?
Avery has scruples in her heart.
She didnât want Hayden to go back to Aryadelle.
What if Elliot used despicable means to rob Hayden?
âIâll ask your Uncle Eric to pick up Layla when the time comes. You stay by your motherâs side and donât
go anywhere.â Avery urged.
âYeah.â Hayden replied obediently.
Aryadelle.
This weekend, Elliot was going to school as Laylaâs teacher called him last night to talk to him about
Laylaâs studies.
The teacher told him not to tell Layla about it.
Because Layla is a girl with a very strong self-esteem.
Elliot waited for Layla to go to the training class before going out.
The teacher didnât tell him how Laylaâs study was on the phone last night. In the usual quizzes, Layla
didnât tell him about the test results.
So the teacher had a bad feeling in his heart. If Laylaâs grades are good, the teacher will come to him
alone to talk about Laylaâs study problems.
Arriving at the school, Elliot saw at a glance the head teacher who was waiting at the school gate.
There was hardly anyone in the school this weekend.
Elliot stopped the car, got out of the car, and walked towards the head teacher.
âMr. Foster, looking for you today wonât affect your rest, right?â The head teacher is a middle-aged
woman in her forties. She said with kind eyes and straight to the point, âI came to you, mainly because of
Laylaâs academic performance, which has fallen too badly. If she doesnât adjust it again, Iâm afraid it will
affect her next final exam.â
Elliot guessed right.
âHow far has my daughterâs grades slipped?â Elliot narrowed his eyes coldly and asked in a serious
voice.
âThis time, she scored 55 points in the English language test, but she didnât pass the pass mark. Her
composition was a strong point before, but this time the composition is not only off-topic, but alsoâ¦â
âAnd what?â Elliot heard â55 pointsâ At this time, he was in a terrible mood.
In the past, Laylaâs language was generally above 90 points, and the total score of 100 points would not
be lower than 85 points.
âThe subject of the essay was to write about âThe person who has influenced me the most and what I
have learned from him/herâ and Layla wrote about you.â The teacher said embarrassedly, âShe wrote she
hated you and you broke her home. You learned how to be a bad*ss.â
