Chapter 1206
When His Eyes Opened
Avery has never been so afraid of physical problems. She had quarreled with Elliot countless times
before and suffered from insomnia. She was even more exhausted at work and had trouble sleeping
and eating, but every time, she survived.
In her memory, the body was never like this before, as if the organs of various parts were going to stop
working at any time.
She answered the phone, and Wesleyâs voice came.
Wesley: âAvery, Adrian is awake, and his mental state is okay.â
Avery: âThatâs good. Whereâs Shea?â
Wesley: âShea hasnât woken up yet. But all her physical signs are within the normal range.â
Avery: âWell. I Go to the hospital later.â
Hanging up the phone, she heard Mikeâs voice calling the child to wake up from outside the room.
âLayla, if you donât get up, I wonât be able to take you to your brotherâs place.â Mike threatened, âThen
you can only stay at home with mom.â
Layla hummed, reluctantly. climbed up.
After a while, Averyâs door was knocked. She immediately went to the door and opened the door.
Seeing Hayden, she was a little surprised. She thought it was Mike calling her to get up.
âMom, Iâm sorry.â Hayden raised his head, looked at Avery, and apologized, âI shouldnât have said that
to you yesterday.â
Hayden thought about it all night and felt that what he said to his mother was too much.
He is going to school soon. If he doesnât come to apologize to his mother quickly, it may make her sad
for a long time.
Avery said frankly, âMom isnât angry. Itâs true that I have a bigger problem with your dad. If your dad
didnât know me, he wouldnât be like this. Iâll go when Sheaâs situation improves. Look for him. Before I
find Elliot, I may not be able to take care of you and your younger siblings.â
Hayden: âI donât need you to take care of me, and my younger siblings are also taken care of. Just do
what you want.â
âHayden, Did you disappoint?â Avery felt very guilty.
âYou are my mother, as long as you are healthy.â
Haydenâs answer moved Avery and felt at ease.
After sending them out, Avery went back to her room and sat down on the bed. Her headache was so
severe that she seemed to fall down at any moment. In this state, she canât go out.
She picked up her phone, opened her address book, and found a doctor friendâs phone number to dial.
âI need some sleeping pills, can you bring them to my house?â
âAre you going to use them?â
âWell. Iâve been insomnia lately. Taking melatonin doesnât help.â
âAre you at home now? Iâll send it to you right away.â
âIâm at home. Thank you.â
After about half an hour, a friend brought the medicine.
âAvery, I saw the news of your husband on the Internet.â The friend gave her the medicine and
comforted her, âI hope you can take it easy. Even without your husbandâs financial resources, you can
still live well on your own. You donât have to affect your health because of this.â
Her friends here donât know how deep the relationship between her and Elliot is for so many years.
Outsiders think that she is sad now because Elliot has changed from a rich man to an ordinary person.
Avery didnât want to explain too much.
âWhen I sleep well, I should be able to think a lot.â Avery said.
The friend said, âWell. I donât dare to give you too much medicine, Iâm afraid you will commit suicide.
There is only one weekâs supply. If you still need it after a week, I will take it for you.â
âThank you.â She sent her friends away and went back to her room.
Before taking the medicine, she sent a message to Wesley: Brother Wesley, I didnât rest well last night.
Going to sleep now. Iâll go to the hospital when I wake up.
After sending the message, she took a pill and lay down on the bed.
