Chapter 1041
When His Eyes Opened
It looked like Elliot was not completely unprepared for the date.
After the call, a honk came from outside.
Tammy had arrived.
Avery took her bag and left her room.
At one of the mid-range neighborhoods in Creekview, Nathan and his children moved into the newly
renovated unit they bought a few days ago.
After acquiring the unit, Nathan and his son went to the furniture shop to buy furniture and electronics.
That day was the day they officially moved in.
They should be happy moving into a new house, but Nathan started worrying about the remaining money
on his card.
Nathan called Peter over.
He wanted to discuss how they were going to get money from Elliot.
âIf this time the deal doesnât come through, he might kill us in rage, so we have to first contact the
media.â Nathan furrowed his brows.
He said in a scheming manner, âWe might even need some self-defense tools with us.
Also, Adrian, that idiot.
We have to make sure he doesnât run.â
âItâs the twelfth floor.
How could he run? He doesnât know how to take the lift.
Unless he jumps off the building,â Peter sneered.
âAlthough he is an idiot, he is quite afraid of death.â
Father and son joked around while looking at Adrian, who was sitting on the sofa in the living area.
Adrian was sitting upright on the soedfa, looking at the tv seriously.
The tv was playing a period love drama.
It was turned on by Lilith, Nathanâs daughter.
Lilith turned on the tv, but a phone call came, so she went to her room to answer the call.
Adrianâs gaze was fixated on the tv.
He was carezafully listening to the things they were saying.
âMiss, they locked us in here.
What should we do? If we canât escape, you wonât be able to marry Lord Smith!â
â³I will never marry into the Smiths!â
âNo! What will happen to me if you die?â
â³When I die, you can escape! Diana, you have to escape! Get Bill to avenge me!â
Tammy brought Avery to the mall.
They immediately headed for the clothing store.
They
bought the latest model dress from Chavel.
It was a long white dress.
The dress was embroidered with various pleating techniques in the shape of small three-dimensional
flowers.
It was also stacked with layers of tassels.
Wearing such a dress made them seem like they were going to go up on stage.
âArenât you going on a date with Elliot tonight? You have to dress up!â Tammy com53forted Avery when
she saw how troubled she looked.
Avery looked at the dress on her and furrowed her brows.
âIâm just meeting up with him.
I donât have to dress up this way, right?â
âWhy donât you need to dress up when youâre seeing him?â ;
âIâm not saying I donât need to dress up, but I donât need to dress up so lavishly, right?â Avery looked at
herself in the mirror.
âIf I were to wear this dress to the date, does that mean I have to put on make-up and style myself? If
not, this dress doesnât match me.â
âYes! Of course you must put on makeup and get styled! We must buy a pair of new shoes too! âTammy
brought Avery to pay.
âLetâs go! We still have a lot of things to do!â
âTammy, are you not buying clothes?â
âIâll buy them later! We have to dress you up first.â Tammyâs mission that day was to dress Avery up
properly so when Elliot proposed to her that night, it would be even more romantic!
Soon, it was the afternoon.
Avery was made up to the nines.
Tammy sized her up properly and let out a sigh of satisfaction.
âI think the way you look right now, even if you went straight for your wedding, it would be fine.â Tammy
was dazzled by Averyâs beauty.
âTammy, you have dressed me up so much.
Elliot would surely not like it,â Avery said helplessly, âHe said he prefers me without makeup.â
âDonât listen to the lies men tell you.â Tammy smiled.
âWhen he sees you tonight, his eyes will surely sparkle!â At that moment, Averyâs phone rang.
She took her phone out and saw a message.
