Chapter 53

Third Person's POV

"What happened to your face?" Rosé asked Lisa.

Lisa walked towards the blonde girl who was busy eating at the kitchen. The dark circles under her eyes are clearly visible. Lisa sat down lazily at the chair beside Rosé and rest her head on the table.

"Did you sleep?" Rosé asked before taking another bite on her apple.

Lisa lifted up her head and leaned at the backrest of the chair. She let out a tired sigh before slightly shaking her head. Lisa remembered how many times she rolled over her bed, trying to get a comfortable position. She keeps on rolling until dawn and when the sun finally rose up, she decided to give up.

Lisa covered her eyes with her palm. The reason why she can't get the sleep that she wanted is because she's thinking about the possible instances that can happen when she finally tells Jennie that she's still in love with her. She was unsure if she's ready to break down the walls that took her some time to build. She was unsure if she can take another rejection. She was unsure if she's ready to get hurt again.

"Drink this." Rosé said and put the cup of coffee in front of Lisa.

The aroma of the coffee quickly reached Lisa's nose making her system slowly woke up. Lisa carefully took the cup and feel its warmth. She carefully took a sip so that her tongue wouldn't get burn.

"What the hell? You too, Jennie?" Rosé said which caught Lisa's attention.

Lisa's automatically fixed at the certain feline who is lazily walking towards their direction. Her hair is a little bit messy and her eyes have also dark circles underneath. Jennie didn't also get some sleep last night.

But what really caught Lisa's attention was the fact the Jennie was only wearing a big tee shirt partnered with a very short shorts. Her milky legs were fully exposed which made Lisa fully awake. The tall girl felt some beads of sweat starting to form at her forehead. Lisa felt that her throat suddenly became dry so she quickly grabbed the cup and drink it in one go. She almost choke by what she did which made her cough.

"Are you okay Lisa?" Rosé asked when she heard her coughing. Lisa made an "okay" sign with her hand since she can't speak properly yet.

Jennie flopped herself at the chair in front of Lisa and rest her head at the table like what Lisa did. The feline scratched her head in an annoyed manner. She really wants to sleep but every time she will close her eyes, Lisa's face will appear.

"Stay here. I'll make you a coffee too." Rosé said. "What the hell is going on with you guys?" She added before making her way towards the coffee maker.

"Where's Jisoo?" Jennie mumbled.

"She went at the university library. She's doing some research. Engineering stuffs I guess." Rosé said.

"But it's Sunday?"

"I know. And it sucks not having my baby here." Rosé pouted.

Jennie cringed at what Rosé said. She lifted up her head and groaned as she massaged her nape and shoulders. She closed her eyes and enjoy the relaxing sensation that she's feeling. That made Jennie to let out a soft moan not knowing that Lisa was watching her.

Lisa was already blushing when Jennie started massaging her own shoulder. The sight of Jennie with closed eyes and slightly apart lips made Lisa shifted in her seat. Her blushing increases when she heard Jennie moan. That made Lisa let out a fake cough since she don't know how to control herself when she hear that heavenly sound again.

Jennie quickly shut her eyes wide opened when she heard Lisa. She didn't notice Lisa for the whole time. Maybe it was an effect of being not able to sleep. Luckily, Rosé was there to save her from an awkward situation.

"Here, drink this." Rosé said and put the cup of coffee on the table before going to the sink to wash the dishes that she used earlier.

Lisa took this as a chance to escape the kitchen. She walk towards the living room and flopped herself at the sofa. Her arms were spread wide at the top of the backrest of the couch while her head was tilted back. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Somewhat, the coffee that Rosé gave to her made her sleepy which she find it weird because the caffeine in it is supposed to let her stay awake for the day.

The tall girl felt that she's slowly drifting away towards the dreamland. She was almost near when she felt a warm body, snuggling to her. Lisa's breathe hitch when her supposed to be peaceful sleep was interrupted. She quickly take a look who the culprit was.

"J-Jennie?" Lisa wasn't able to stop herself from stuttering.

The tall girl was surprised when she found out that it was Jennie. Jennie walk straight towards the living room and saw Lisa taking a nap. She's feeling dizzy because of the lack of sleep that she's been feeling right now. She thought that Lisa was on a deep sleep so she took all of her courage to go beside her. She miss cuddling with Lisa, she missed her warmth so much.

When Jennie heard Lisa called her name, she was surprised but she didn't show it and snuggle a little bit closer to her. It's too late to back out now and besides, her eyes are really on the verge of closing. Jennie wrapped her arms around Lisa's stomach which made the latter tensed up by the sudden touch.

"What are you doing?" Lisa asked.

"Sshh. I'm trying to get some sleep. Be quiet." Jennie said and hug Lisa tighter.

Lisa can't do anything but to give up arguing with the feline. It hasn't been a few minutes when Lisa heard soft snores coming from the girl that was hugging her. Lisa automatically smile, she missed sleeping with Jennie like this.

Lisa lifted her hand and guided Jennie's head to rest on her chest. She hugged feline back and rested her head on top of Jennie's head. She can smell the strawberry scent of the shampoo that Jennie was using. Lisa pulled Jennie closer to her and drifted away into a deep slumber.

Lisa was woke up by the noises that Rosé made while she was preparing to leave. She rubbed her eyes and let out a yawn. She looked down and saw Jennie was still sound asleep which made her lips automatically curled up in a smile.

"Oh, did I wake you up?" Rosé said. Lisa looked at her, a smile was still plastered on her face.

"Yes. You're too noisy chipmunk. Where are you going?" Lisa asked as she scanned Rosé's outfit. The blonde was wearing a lavender sweater and a black shorts partnered together with a white sneakers.

"I have a date with Jisoo." Rosé said in a giddy manner. It's obvious that she can't hide the excitement that she's feeling.

"What time are you coming home?" Lisa asked.

Rosé rolled her eyes because of Lisa's question. "What are you? My mom?" She said.

"Idiot. I'm asking so that I knew if I'm going to cook a dinner for four or not."

"We might come home late. Take care of Jennie okay?" Rosé was about to leave when it suddenly crossed her mind to tease Lisa. "You should ask her to go out on a date too." She added before closing the front door.

The sound of the front door closing made Jennie woke up. The feline lifted up her head and rubbed her eyes.

"Is that Rosé?" She asked in a cute and sleepy voice. Lisa just nodded in response.

"Where is she going?" Jennie asked once again.

"She's having a date with Jisoo."

"Oh, so it's just the two of us left here?" Jennie said.

Lisa suddenly froze up. The thought of her being alone with Jennie for the whole day makes her nervous. She slowly faced the feline just to found out that Jennie was already smirking at her.

"So, what are we going to do, Lisa?" Jennie said in the most seductive way that she can. She loves how Lisa being flustered by the little teasing that she did.

Lisa quickly backed off and stand up straightly.

"Do you want to watch a movie? Yes, a movie. You like Disney right? We can watch that." Lisa said.

Jennie pursed her lips together, trying her best not to laugh at Lisa's antics. "Sure. But, I think I want an ice cream." She said.

"I'll buy it! I just take a bath, wait for me okay?" Lisa said and dash her way towards the bathroom.

Lisa breathed in relief when she finally get out of the house. As she walks toward the nearest convenience store, the thought of being alone with Jennie crossed her mind once again. The smirk that Jennie made earlier added up which made her shook her head to drove away the dirty thoughts that starting to invade her mind.

The tall girl entered the convenience store and went straight towards where the ice creams are. She remembered the first time that she met Jennie. It was also in a convenience store where she was accused by being an ice cream stealer when in fact, she was the one who got it.

Lisa took a gallon of a milk ice cream and some chips for her and Jennie to share. She was about to go to the counter to pay the stuffs that she took when she bumped into someone familiar.

"Mina? What are you doing here?" Lisa asked.

"Oh, hi Lisa! My cousin lives near here. You lived closed by?" Mina said.

"Yes. My house is just three blocks away from here."

"Ah, I see." Mina said with a slight nod. "So, how's your date with Jennie?" She asked which made Lisa's eyes widened in surprise.

"W-what?"

"There's no need to play such games Lisa. I knew everything." Mina said and smiled genuinely.

"You do? But how?"

"I'm not blind Lisa. The way you stare at Jennie, it's obvious that you have feelings for her."

"I'm sorry." Lisa mumbled.

"For what?"

"I don't know either. But I feel like I need to apologize to you."

Mina giggled softly and said, "You're such a sweet girl Lisa. If only I didn't know that you have feelings for Jennie, I surely will keep you for myself."

"Since when did you knew about that?"

"Since the day you asked me out at the library."

"But, why didn't you say no?"

"I can't resist your smile, that's why." Mina said which made Lisa blushed a little. "Jennie's lucky because you're in love with her. And of course, you're lucky to because Jennie feels the same way."

Lisa scratched her nape and smiled awkwardly. "I don't think that's true." She said.

Lisa really don't think that Jennie feels the same way. No one can't blame her either, she was hurt by the same person before, and it's hard for her to believe everything, especially when it comes to Jennie's feelings.

"What's taking Lisa so long?" Jennie said as she dry her hair in front of the mirror.

As soon as Lisa left the house, she took a shower. She thought that Lisa will come home quickly but she was already done and there's still no sign of Lisa. Jennie decided to go out and follow Lisa. She was worried that something might happened to her.

What Jennie witnessed when she finally arrived at the nearest convenience store made her feel enraged. She spotted the girl that she's waiting for, all smile talking to Mina. Jennie walk closer to them, wearing her famous bitch faced which made Lisa surprised.

"Jennie." Lisa said. She looks like she was caught doing something bad, which made Jennie raise an eyebrow.

"I was wondering what's taking you so long." Jennie said and glanced at Mina. "I guess I already knew the answer."

"Shit. I forgot." Lisa admitted. She enjoyed catching up with Mina, not noticing that it already took her minutes. "I'm sorry, wait for me. I'll just pay this." Lisa added.

"No. It's fine. You can stay. I'm not waiting either." Jennie said coldly and exited the store. She gulped a lump that's forming on her throat. It was the second time that Lisa forgot about her, and for the same reason. She can't blame Lisa though, she fully understand what she feels for Mina. She thinks that she was just too dumb to believe that Lisa might actually still love her.

Lisa quickly went to the cashier and pay the stuffs that she got. But when she came back Jennie wasn't there already.

"I think she went home. You should follow her." Mina said.

Lisa bid Mina a goodbye and apologized for the trouble that she caused and exited the convenience store.

"Jennie! Wait up!" Lisa yelled. When the feline heard Lisa's voice, she fasten her pace. Tears from her eyes are threatening to fall. She can't let herself cry in front of Lisa. Jennie would definitely feel pathetic.

Jennie arrived at their house and closed the front door loudly. She was about to go to her room so that she can let out everything when she felt Lisa stopped her by holding her wrist.

"Why are you so mad? If it's because I didn't came back soon, I apologize." Lisa said.

"No." Jennie mumbled, trying her best not to crack her voice.

"Then why are you running away from me?"

"I told you that you can stay, who told you to follow me?" Jennie said still not looking at Lisa. She forcefully pull her wrist away from Lisa's grip.

"Because you're acting weird! You're acting weird every time I'm with Mina. Don't tell me you're jealous?"

Jennie paused for a moment. She was thinking if this will be finally the time where she will tell Lisa.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot you're straight. What a fool am I to think stuffs like that? Of course, you're not jealous. Why would you get jealous at the firs-"

Lisa wasn't able to continue what she said because Jennie suddenly faced her with tears streaming down her face.

"What if I am?" Jennie said.

Lisa blink a few times, trying to absorb what's happening.

"W-what? W-why?" Lisa asked.

Jennie took a deep breath and yelled, "Because I'm in love with you!"

The feline panted, there she finally said the truth. It made Jennie felt like a thorn was suddenly took out from her heart. She can finally breathe.

"You what?" Lisa said, still not having a grip of the situation.

"Are you deaf? You're unbelievable." Jennie scoffed and walked away.

Lisa took Jennie's hand and pulled her so that the feline can face her. Jennie's eyes widened in surprise by Lisa's bold move. Lisa quickly cupped Jennie's cheeks and put her forehead against Jennie's.

"Say it again." Lisa said with her eyes closed.

"Did you seriously didn't hear a thing?" Jennie managed to say.

"Just say it again."

"I love you."

Those three words was enough for Lisa to take down her high walls. She quickly claimed Jennie's lips which obviously made the latter surprised. Jennie tensed up for a second and slowly melted upon Lisa's arms. The next thing she knew, she's already kissing Lisa back.

Lisa was the one who broke their sweet kiss which made Jennie's eyebrows furrowed. She smiled as she can see the twinkle at Jennie's eyes which she didn't thought that she can be the reason.

"I love you too." Lisa said.

Jennie's heart jumped in joy. She was already on cloud nine when they shared the first kiss that they have since that incident back at Bangkok. And it only take her higher when Lisa said that she love her too.

"But, what about Mina? I thought you're into her."

Lisa shook her head and said, "No. I'm still in love with you, actually, I never stopped. Well, I tried, but it was still you that my heart was looking for. It's been you since the beginning Jennie, and it will be always you until the end."

She claimed Jennie's lips once again.
