Chapter 46
HOMOPHOBIC (JENLISA)
Jisoo's POV
I was on the kitchen when I heard somebody screaming. Judging by the voice, I already knew who was it but I was still shock because this is my first time witnessing Lisa having those nightmares. At first, I did not believe what Rosé said to me. Actually, she doesn't have any plans on telling it to me but I guess, her tongue slipped.
I quickly put down the glass of water that I'm holding and hurriedly went upstairs. There, I saw Jennie standing at the front of Lisa's room. She was a bit hesitant if she's going to enter the room or not. I guess Lisa didn't have nightmares by the time we're on the tour because judging by Jennie's reaction, she must still didn't know a thing.
But why is this happening now?
"I need Rosé!"
Hearing Lisa shouted those words, I quickly run to the other side of the hallway where I and Rosé's room are. I knocked at her door non-stop until she open the door. I knew how a heavy sleeper this chipmunk is.
"What?!" Rosé asked in a bedroom voice when she opened the door that makes my throat dry. Her hair was a bit messy and she's rubbing her half-opened eyes.
"I said what is it Kim Jisoo!" Rosé yelled which made me blinked a few times. I didn't notice that I was staring at her for seconds now.
I cleared my throat and said, "I heard Lisa screamed." Rosé's eyes suddenly shot wide open in surprise. "I think she's having her nightmares." I added.
"What?! It's been a long time since Lisa had those." Rosé said while looking at the floor in disbelief. I glanced back at the direction where Lisa's room is. I saw Jennie was still standing there, not knowing what to do.
"I think you should go there. Jennie must be confused right now. And I also heard Lisa yelling that she needs you." I said.
I was surprised by Rosé's next move. She pulled me for a quick hug and held my both shoulders. My eyes widened when I realized that our faces are just a few inch closer.
"Thank you for waking me up." She said before dashing her way towards the monkey, leaving me in a surprised state.
I took a deep breath and pull myself together. "Whoa. I need to get Jennie."
Jennie was still standing there, staring at Lisa's door which is now already closed. I carefully held her shoulder, trying my best not to scare her. She darted her eyes on me and I saw how clueless she is.
"W-What's happening?" She asked. I smiled apologetically to her. I badly want to tell her what is the reason why Lisa is having nightmares but I'm not on the right place to do that. And besides, I can't think how Jennie will take it when she finally learned that the reason why for those are not other than, but her.
"Let's go downstairs. I'll make you a drink." I said. She nodded her head slightly in agreement. I held her hand and guided her downstairs.
Jennie sat at the chair without saying a word, only the tapping of her fingers at the table are the sound that I can hear from her.
"Here, drink this." I gave her a cup of tea. Jennie held the cup with both of her hands and lifted up to her nose.
"What's this?" Jennie said as she smell the soothing aroma.
"Chamomile tea. It helps you to relax your nerves. It also helps to reduce your stress." I explained.
"Whoa. How did you know about this?" Jennie asked before taking her first sip. I saw how her face brighten when she finally got a taste of the tea that I made.
"Internet." I confidently said with a smirk.
I heard Jennie chuckled but it didn't last for long. "Do you..." She said, hesitating if she's going to continue what she was about to say or not. I just quietly stare at her, waiting patiently for Jennie to continue talking. Jennie took a few more sips and a couple of deep breaths.
"Do you think Rosé and Lisa were a thing?" Jennie said and looked straight into my eyes. I was taken aback by her question that made me took a few seconds to absorb it. I gasped when I fully realized what does Jennie means.
"No! Rosé is mi- I mean, what makes you think that they're actually together?" I said. That was close.
"Well, just look at them. They're very clingy to each other and add up the fact that they're comfortable to each other presence." Jennie said in a low voice.
"Are you jealous of chipmunk?" I answered with a smirk. Jennie shake her head vigorously but I know she's just denying the fact. Denial Jennie indeed.
"We both know you're lying." I said which made her pout. "Don't worry. There's nothing going on between those two."
"But how can you explain what happened to Lisa? And why does she needs Rosé?"
"As you can see, those two are like twins. They really care for each other. I can't explain to you what happened to Lisa because I'm not at the right place to tell it." I held her hand and smiled at her apologetically.
"You should ask either one of them if you want some answers." I added.
Rose's POV
I quickly walk towards Lisa after I closed the door. I feel sorry for Jennie, I saw how she wants to comfort Lisa. It must hurt being rejected by the person you love but Lisa felt a lot worse than that.
"Chaeyoung-ah." Lisa called me once again. My heart aches seeing her again in this state.
"What happened?" I asked. I sat down beside her and wrapped her into my arms. I felt Lisa's hands snaked around through my waist and her face buried in my neck, which is what she always do whenever she's having this scenario.
"Nightmares. Again." She mumbled. I lift my right hand and started caressing the back of her head.
"I thought it was gone? I haven't saw you having an attack for a while." I answered. Lisa pulled away and fixed herself on her bed. She leaned her back at the head rest and sighed.
"It's terrifying. I didn't expect it would came back." She said.
"Is it because you're being too close to Jennie again?"
"I don't know."
"Tell me the truth Lisa. Are you really okay?"
"I'm pretty sure that I am. I'm already done building the walls that I needed and trust me, it won't back down that easily."
"But how come are you experiencing this again?"
"I really don't know chipmunk. I have no fucking idea." Lisa said in a frustrated tone. A small smile form at my lips. Hearing Lisa calling me by that nickname tells that she's already fine and with was a good thing that she can recover from that nightmare easily. It took some minutes of consoling her before she calm down back then.
"So what's your plan? Are you going to ignore Jennie again?" I said as I fixed myself beside her.
"If this continues, then I might do that again." She said.
"Yah! I'm telling you, don't do that!" I yelled which made her look at me with surprise written all over her face.
"W-why?" She asked.
I narrowed my eyes on her. "Because the last time that you ignored her, you're ignoring us too!" I said. Lisa scratched her nape and smile at me apologetically.
"I'm warning you Lalisa." I said sternly.
"Give me three days okay?" She said. I let out an annoyed scoff which made Lisa to move closer to me.
"Please? Just three days. I promise." She's pressing her hands together and pleaded. Hearing Lisa doing her cute voice makes me cringe.
"Fine. I'll give you three days. But if you chose to ignore Jennie again, can you please not include me? I swear to heaven, I'm going to kill you Manoban." I threatened her.
"Aye aye, Madame Park." Lisa said and saluted.
"Stop. You look like dumb."
"There's no way I will look like Jisoo." Lisa said which made the both of us in laughter.
"Hey, Lisa." I said. Lisa just hummed in response.
"What if Jennie asked me about tonight?"
"Then tell her."
"Are you sure? Is it really okay for me to tell that?" I felt Lisa rest her head into my shoulder.
"Yup. She will knew about this later on. There's no point of keeping this as a secret." She said.
"Oh. Okay then." I answered. "You should go back to sleep. It's late already." I said when I saw Lisa yawned. Lisa lifted up her head and looked at me once again.
"Sing for me." She said bluntly.
"What?"
"Come on. You used to sing for me to calm down. Sing me to sleep, chipmunk." She's using again that annoying cute voice of her.
"No. Go to sleep by yourself." I said and get out of her bed.
"Tss. Bummer." Lisa said and crossed her arms. I giggled at her reaction, she's really acting like a child sometimes.
"Good night monkey." I said as I pulled her for a hug again.
"Good night chipmunk. And thank you." Lisa said and hug me back.
"I'll always be here for you, Lisa."
"I know. You promised me, remember?" She said. We both pull away and giggled.
I let out a sigh of relief as I went outside Lisa's room. I'm glad that she's okay now but I can't stop myself from being worried. I know Lisa better than anyone. She might look so strong at the outside but deep inside her, I knew that she's still has feelings for Jennie but she's being cautious. Well, I can't blame her. If what happened to Lisa, happens to me, I'm sure I'll end up being cautious as her.
"Is she okay?" I jumped in surprise when I heard Jisoo's voice. She's leaning beside the door of my room with her arms crossed.
"My God, Jisoo! You scared the shit out of me." I said. I think I'm too fed up with my thoughts that I didn't noticed that Jisoo was standing there all along, waiting for me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean too." Jisoo said sweetly. I felt the heat rise up into my cheeks.
"Lisa's fine now. How about Jennie? Did you tell her?" I said.
"No. She's still clueless. I think one of this days, she would definitely ask you." Jisoo answered.
"I'm expecting that anyway."
Jisoo straightened her posture. "You should go back to sleep. Good night, Rosie." She said before leaving.
"Good night, Jisoo." I said and quickly gave a kiss on her cheeks which made her body froze. She was about to speak again but I quickly went towards my room and hurriedly closed the door.
