Chapter 3

Lisa's POV

The buzzing of the alarm clock cut off my beautiful sleep. I was about to ignore it but then, I remembered that today is my first day. I quickly get up and take a look at the time. It's five in the morning and my classes will start at seven. Why did I set up my alarm this early? Oh right.

Jogging.

It's been my routine since I'm on Thailand. I need to maintain my figure. I have a lot of insecurities inside me and number one is about my body.

I do my morning routine first before putting on a black sports bra and a black sweatpants.

"Ooh. Your abs are screaming Manoban." I said with a smirk as I stare at myself at the mirror.

I went out of our house and saw Rosѐ going out as well. She's also wearing the same outfit as mine except that it's gray. I guess she's going for a run to.

"Nice body, neighbor." Rosé said with a wink.

"You too. You have a nice figure for a person who eats a lot." I said teasingly.

"Yah! You really are a one rude neighbor."

Her reply makes me giggle a bit.

"Want to run with me?" I offered.

"Why does it sounds like you're asking me to go with you like what happens in fairy tale?" She said.

"You need to stop watching Disney."

She slapped my arm lightly. This girl is way too hurtful. Can I also smack this chipmunk even just once?

Our jogging routine was full of bickering and laughter. I never thought jogging can be this so much fun. I haven't feel that I'm tired even though we made seven laps around the park.

Rosé said that I should wait for her to clean up so that we can go to school together. And here I am, waiting for her for thirty minutes. We have only fifteen minutes left before the classes starts. I can't believe that there's still someone who can be slower than me. I was on the verge of barging into their front door when she came out in a hurry.

"Come on Lisa. We're late!" She said and she started running.

"Yah! You're the reason why we are going to be late! Aish." I said and followed her.

She just look back and wink at me. A piece of bread was stuck in her mouth. Now I know why this chipmunk took so long to get ready.

We came into the school five minutes after the bell rang. Rosé quickly opened the door of our room making the student's and the teacher's attention divert into us. I was panting heavily and so as this girl beside me.

"Ms. Park. You're late again." The man with a serious face said. I think he's our teacher.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Ji-yong. It won't happen again." Rosé said.

"I've heard that a dozen of times Ms. Park." He let out a deep sigh before continuing.

"Please go to your seat."

Rosé nodded before making her way towards her seat. I was about to follow her but Mr. Ji-yong stopped me.

"You. Stay." He said.

I feel my body stiffened at his command. I heard someone scoffed beside me and there I saw cat eyes. What is she doing here? Is she also studying here?

"Ms. Kim. Continue introducing yourself." Mr. Ji-yong said.

Kitten stepped forward not minding that she bumped my shoulder. I decided to call her kitten because she's small and really looks like a cat.

"What the hell?" I said which earned me a glare from her. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. What the hell is wrong with this girl?

"Jennie Kim. Nice meeting you all." Kitten said and bow as a sign of respect. So her name is Jennie huh.

"Thank you Ms. Kim. Now go and find a seat." Mr. Ji-yong said before diverting his attention to me.

"And I supposed you're the other transferee student."

Other? So that means Jennie is also a transferee?

"Yes sir."

"Please introduce yourself to the class."

"I'm Lalisa Manoban. Just call me Lisa. I'm from Thailand. Please be nice to me."

What the fuck? What did I just said? Please be nice to me? What a weakling Manoban. I can feel my face heated up due to embarrassment. Luckily, no one reacted at my statement. Maybe it's normal for them.

"Please go and find a seat Ms. Manoban."

I take a look around the classroom and saw that there is still one chair left. It was beside Rosé who is now happily waving at me but the thing is that seat is also beside Jennie who is now staring intently at me. I gulped and went my way towards the available seat. Do I have any choice?

I took a seat not minding the furious kitten that keeps on sending me deadly glares. She will soon get tired and will mind her own damn business. But I'm wrong. She keeps on scoffing which making me hard to concentrate at the lesson.

"Is there something wrong?" I decided to ask her because her scoffing really annoy the hell out of me.

"Tss. Ice cream stealer." She said and rolled her eyes

"What?" I replied not noticing that my voice went a little louder which made the class silent and look at my direction. I sent them an apologetic smile before diverting my attention back to Jennie who is now giving me an annoying smirk.

"Kitten." I blurted.

"What?!" Now it's her turn to be the center of attention and it's my turn to give her an annoying smirk.

"Is there something wrong Ms. Kim?" Mr. Ji-yong asked.

And as if on cue, the bell rang. How lucky. Save by the bell eh?

"That's all for today and before you all go I'll just make an announcement so please stay at your seats. Ms. Jennie Kim, you will be having Ms. Park Chaeyoung to help you to catch up to our lessons and Ms. Lalisa Manoban, you will be having Ms. Kim Jisoo to help you. Since you two transferred almost at the middle of the year, this is the fastest way to cope up with your lapses. That's all. You may go." Mr. Ji-yong said.

"Why can't I just pair up with you?" I said to the chipmunk beside me who is busy fixing her things.

"Aw. You miss me already?" Rosé said.

"Nope. It's just that you're the only person I know here. I told you I am not good at conversations." I said.

"Yeah. But you're good at annoying that girl on your left." She chuckled.

I take a look at my left and saw Jennie still sending me daggers. I rolled my eyes on her which made her surprised.

"Whatever. Now tell me, who is Jisoo?" I asked.

"Me!" Said by a black haired girl who is now walking to our direction. She is smiling at us widely.

"I'm Jisoo. I'm ok!" Jisoo said and offered her hand to me for a shake. Her introduction makes me laugh. She has the same aura with Rosѐ. I think we can get along easily.

"I'm Lisa. And I'm ok too." I said as I take her hand. Jisoo laughed at my answer.

"Crackheads." Rosé muttered.

"You're a crackhead too pasta!" Jisoo said and stick her tongue out.

"You know each other?" I asked.

"Yup. Sad to say we're friends." Rosé replied which earn a smack from Jisoo.

"Jennie. Let's go to the cafeteria, let's have some lunch first before starting our session." Rosé said.

"Is she coming?" Jennie said while pointing at me.

"Of course. I'm her friend kitten." I said while smirking.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes on me and went first towards the door.

"Do you guys know each other?" Jisoo asked.

"Actually no. But I had met her once, at the convenience store." I replied.

"Oh. Then why does it seems that she hates you?" Jisoo said.

"Well, she's accusing me for stealing her ice cream." I said.

"What?" Jisoo chuckled.

"Is she the same girl at that store?" Rosé asked.

I was about to tell Jisoo the whole story because she seems to be confused but we're interrupted by a voice of an angry kitten waiting at the door with her arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.

"Are you guys coming or what?" She said in a serious voice.

We quickly get our things and walked towards her direction.

"She's scary." Jisoo whispered to me.

"Yeah. I'll just tell you the whole story on our way." I said.

Jennie once again sent me her deadly glares before going out the room. I wonder why that girl hates me so much.
