Chapter 27

HOMOPHOBIC (JENLISA)

Lisa's POV

"You can do this Lisa." I muttered as I stare myself at the mirror. But when I look back at the pile of clothes on my bed, panic once again eat me up.

Today's the day where I promise Jennie that I'll took her for a stroll. And despite of being excited at the thought of going out with her, I have this huge problem on what I should wear. I don't know if I should be elegant, fancy or whatsoever.

"Please pick it up." I said while biting my nails and walking back and forth around my room.

"Hello?"

"Chipmunk!" I jumped in joy when I finally heard her picked up the phone.

"Hey monkey! How's Thailand?"

"Still the same. Jennie's been talking non-stop on how amazing Thailand is." I said and giggled a bit. I heard Rosѐ's giggle too.

"Why did you call me anyway?" Rosѐ asked.

"Uhmm... The truth is, I-I need some help."

"Why? Did something happened?"

"No. It's just that me and Jennie are going out today."

"Like a date?"

"Hang out rather. And I don't know what to fucking wear."

"Thought you're not going on a date with her? Then why are you panicking?"

"I-I- Just help me pick!"

I heard Rosѐ laugh. This chipmunk really knows how annoy me. I should have just called Jisoo but she's way worse than this food eating machine. Ugh. Why do I have friends like them?

"Lisa, listen. You don't need to dress up to impress Jennie. Just be who you are. And in fact, Jennie wouldn't notice no matter how hard you dress up, her heart belongs to Hanbin remember?"

"Yeah, right, thank you." I said with a smug tone. My eyes rolled, I don't know if this chipmunk was trying to cheer me up or breaking me apart.

"I'm just telling the truth. You should not be full of yourself, you might get hurt so much in the end Lisa. Don't expect too much okay?" Rosѐ reminded me. I muttered a thank you and ended the call. I went back on rummaging my clothes.

After a few more minutes of deciding, I finally took a black top and a maong pants. I also decided to wear some specs, my eyes look swollen because I haven't slept that well. I got too excited. I picked up my black sling bag and went towards the door.

Jennie was standing in front of my door when I opened it. I guess she's about knock judging by her hand that was raised. She was wearing a white Supreme crop top together with a navy green pants. This girl never fails to catch my eye.

"H-hey. Did you wait that long?" I asked.

"No. I just finished too and was about to knock at your door, obviously. Let's go?" Jennie said and flashed her gummy smile.

"You're very much excited I presume." I said and let out a grin.

"Of course! It's finally time to explore." She said.

When we went downstairs, Mom, Dad and Grandpa where having there morning tea at the leaving room. Their eyes went towards us and I swear, I saw Grandpa sent me a one teasing smile.

"Are you girls heading out?" Mom asked.

"Yes. Lisa promised me a tour today." Jennie said and looked at me with a wide smile.

"So, you're going out for a date?" Grandpa said which made Dad almost choked on his tea. I felt my heart stop beating for a moment. I glared at the old man, if he's not my grandfather I would definitely smack him on the face right now.

"Yup." Jennie answered without hesitation which made me looked at her in surprise.

"I going to have a date with my best friend." She added and clung into my arms.

"Yeah right, what was I thinking? Of course, friends can date. A friendly date indeed. I heard my grandfather laugh, maybe he saw how tensed am I.

"Shall we go Nini?" I asked. Jennie nodded and waved goodbye to them.

"Where are we going Lili?" Jennie asked me when I opened the car door for her.

"Secret." I simply said and closed the door after she went in. I walk around the car and went towards the driver seat. I put my seatbelt on and glanced back towards my best friend.

"Seatbelt Nini." I reminded her.

"Please tell me where we are going first."

"If I will tell you, then it wouldn't be a surprise anymore. Now please wear your seatbelt so we can go." I commanded.

Jennie pouted and wear her seatbelt, she don't have any other choice either. I chuckled a bit, she looks adorable when she's like that.

Jennie was quiet for the whole ride, well, it's a good thing for me because I might really tell her where we are going. We're on the intersection and the traffic light was red, and I took this as a chance to take a look at Jennie.

When she saw that I was looking at her, she immediately turn her back on me and faced the window. My mouth was wide opened, I didn't expect that this kitten would do that. I diverted my eyes back to the road, waiting for the light to turn green when I suddenly hear Jennie squeal.

"Yah! Lili look!" She said.

"What? Where?" I asked.

"There!" Jennie said and pointed towards the pet shop.

"Look at that dog, the brown one. He's very cute right?"

"Yeah. But I'm more like a cat person." I said.

"Whatever. Ugh. How I was I have that dog." Jennie sighed and leaned back towards her seat. The light turned green and Jennie waved goodbye to the dog.

"Cute." I whispered to myself.

Third Person's POV

"Here we are." Lisa said when she parked the car.

"Finally." Jennie replied and took off her seatbelt. She was about to open the door but Lisa was fast enough to do it for her. Jennie smiled when she saw what her best friend did.

"If you're a guy. I would really fall for you." Jennie whispered to herself but Lisa heard all of it and chose not to react. Lisa didn't even know what to say so she just ignored the fact that Jenni said it.

"Where are we exactly?" Jennie asked.

"Bangkok aquarium." Lisa said and pulled Jennie towards the entrance.

"An aquarium?!"

"Yeah. Why? Don't you like it here? We can go to another place if-"

"No Lili. It's just that I'm excited. It's my first time going in an aquarium." Jennie said.

Lisa smiled at the feline and bravely intertwined her fingers to the feline's. Jennie was shocked a little bit at Lisa's sudden action but then her body soften. Lisa's hand in hers makes her feel somewhat comfortable or safe rather.

When they entered the aquarium, Jennie can't keep her eyes from wandering around. There were times that Jennie would let go of Lisa's hand and asked her to take some pictures of her with the fish. Lisa smiled every time Jennie would do that.

"Hey, look that blonde girl is so hot." A girl said pertaining to Lisa who is quietly staring at her best friend.

"Hell yeah, do you think she's single?" Another girl said.

"There's only one way to find out."

Jennie can't take of her eyes from the beautiful scenery in front of her. She was giggling every time she touches the glass and some fishes went towards the direction of her finger. She lifted her head up and saw a huge sting ray crossed over.

"Wow." Jennie muttered to herself.

"Lisa look-"

Jennie's eyes furrowed and her eyes filled with anger. There were two girls currently talking to Lisa right now. One of her eyebrows raised when suddenly one of the girl tries to touch Lisa. She marched towards where her best friend is, her fist are clenched and teeth are gritted.

"Yah! Lalisa Manoban!"

Lisa slowly turned her head towards the direction of the voice. She's starting to sweat seeing how angry Jennie is. Just by the tone of her voice and by calling her in her full name, she definitely knew that she's in trouble.

"Let's go over there." Jennie said and pulled Lisa but one of the girls grabbed Lisa's another arm making the rage of the feline rise up.

"Can't you see we're still talking?" The girl said.

"Can't you see we're leaving?" Jennie replied. The tension between them is making Lisa to sweat even more.

"Who the hell are you?" The second girl asked.

Jennie gave them cold look which sent shiver down towards their spine.

"I'm her date." Jennie said before pulling Lisa away.

--

Jennie has been pulling Lisa a while for now. Since Jennie saw how Lisa was being surrounded by other people, she don't know why but she just feel over protective towards her best friend. She's been holding Lisa's wrist tightly, not wanting to let her go. Afraid that what happened earlier might repeated.

"Nini, you can let go of me now." Lisa silently pleaded. Her wrist are kindly hurting right now so she was hoping that Jennie would finally let go.

"And you'll be surrounded by strangers again? No." Jennie firmly said. Lisa let out a soft giggle which made the feline face her.

"What? What's funny?" Jennie said. Lisa smirk and leaned a little bit closer towards the girl until their faces are just few inches apart.

"You're jealous." Lisa said.

"No I'm not!" Jennie said and let go of her wrist abruptly and stomped her way away from the feline. Hearing Lisa's laugh risen up the irritation that she feels but having a short legs is such a disadvantage to her. Lisa quickly catch up to the feline and wrapped her hands over her shoulders.

"Jealous kitten." Lisa teased Jennie. She hit Lisa's abdomen with her elbow making the blonde groaned in pain and fell on her knees to the ground.

"Yah. Get up. I'm hungry." Jennie said bluntly. Lisa gathered all her strength to stand up and went towards Jennie.

"Come with me. I knew a diner near here." Lisa smiled and this time she was the one who is pulling Jennie until Lisa bumped on someone.

"Watch were you- Bambam?" Lisa said when she saw the face of the guy who accidentally bump her.

"Oh shit. Lali? Is that really you?" Bambam said and pulled Lisa for a hug. Bambam lifted up Lisa and they spin for a bit. Jennie on the other hand was confused and at the same time annoyed. Seems like Lisa has forgotten her and even have the guts to flirt right in front of her.

"How long has it been since we last saw each other?" Lisa asked.

"I don't know. I almost didn't recognize you. You're change a lot Lali!" Bambam said and pinch Lisa's cheeks. The owner of the pair of eyes that has been watching them from the beginning let out an un-hearable scoff and turn her back away.

"Yah. That hurts!" Lisa said and slapped away Bambam's hand.

"Anyways, are you alone?"

"No. I'm with-" Lisa was dumbfounded when she found Jennie walking away from them.

"Hey. Let's catch up some other time okay? Bye Bam!" Lisa waved goodbye and hurriedly run towards the feline.

"Hey. Thought you're hungry? Why did you left?" Lisa asked when she caught up with the feline.

"You seems to be pretty occupied."

"Are you mad?"

"Why would I get mad at you Lisa?" Jennie said and look at the blonde. Lisa felt suddenly nervous and gulped.

"Jennie's being scary right now." Lisa thought.

But Lisa thinks that Jennie has a point. Why would she even mad at her? Lisa just stare at the feline without saying a word which made Jennie more annoyed. She turn her back and before walking towards the car, she muttered something softly but enough for the blonde to hear.

"I'm your date today but seems like you forget it."
