Chapter 20

Third Person's POV

A sound of phone ringing loudly disturb the peaceful sleep of the two girls. Jennie grabbed a pillow and cover it to her ears trying to block the annoying sound that she's hearing. But it doesn't seem to work out. She reached out for Lisa and pat her arms with her eyes close so her best friend will woke up.

"Lili. Tell your phone to shut up." Jennie said groggily.

Lisa groaned and tried to reach her phone which is located at her side table. Her eyes are still half-opened when she answered the call.

"H-Hello?" Lisa said with her bedroom voice.

"Lalisa! Aren't you awake yet?" Seulgi shouted.

"Yah. I'm now awake because of your loud voice." Lisa said and pull away the phone from her ear to look at the time.

"It's just 5:30 am. Call time is at 8am. So why the fuck are you calling me this early?" Lisa said.

"Are you cursing me now, Manoban?" Seulgi said coldly.

"I wouldn't curse if you just didn't woke me up this early at the first place."

"Guess you haven't read my announcement. I changed the call time to 7am. We need to make one more run before the actual performance. Now get your ass up!" Seulgi said and ended the call.

Lisa brushed her hair out of frustration and stomped her way towards the bathroom. She looked herself at the mirror and saw how a big mess she is. She sigh as she remember what happened last night. Jennie mistaken her as a stuff toy and hug her the whole night. Jennie's straddling her and her face was buried Lisa's neck which made the latter uncomfortable.

The blonde girl opened the shower and let the cold water flow down her body. She loves cold shower more than anyone. It made her feel relaxed. She went out of the bathroom and dried her hair with a towel. She paused when she realized that Jennie will be going with her. Lisa face palmed herself, this kitten would be so mad at her.

Lisa took a black sweatpants and a white oversized hoodie and wear it. She decided to wear some specs to hide a bit her messed up face. She rummage around her closet trying to find some comfortable clothes for Jennie. Lisa grabbed an oversized gray shirt and a black shorts, then went back to the bed to wake up her best friend.

"Nini. Wake up." Lisa said softly. Jennie groaned and just turned her back around Lisa. The blonde can't help but to chuckle. Her best friend is such a baby, she thought.

"Nini. You need to wake up now. Or else I might leave you here."

Hearing that Lisa will leave without her, Jennie quickly sat down and rubbed her eyes. She stretched her arms and smiled at Lisa with her eyes half-opened.

"Good morning, Lili." She said with a gummy smile. Lisa was surprised that her best friend didn't get angry at her by waking up her early.

"Good morning, Nini. Here, some clean clothes and clean undies. Don't worry, those undies are new. Go now and take a bath. I'll be waiting downstairs." Lisa said.

As soon as Jennie entered the bathroom, Lisa went downstairs so that her best friend will have the room for herself. Her parents are still asleep so she took her steps lightly as she could. Lisa went straight towards the kitchen to make some sandwich for their breakfast.

Few minutes later, Jennie went downstairs making Lisa stare at her with mouth parted. Jennie flashed out a smirk when she noticed her best friend's reaction. She walked towards Lisa and leaned at the counter.

"You're drooling." Jennie teased. Lisa quickly wiped her mouth but found no drool at all. The kitten in front of her burst out in laughter.

"Gotcha." Jennie said and wink which made Lisa lose her breath for a second.

"I didn't knew that my clothes would be that good on you." Lisa said.

"Then I guess this would be mine from now on." Jennie said earning an eye roll from the latter.

"Here. Have some sandwich."

"Nah. I don't eat breakfast Lili."

"Then I'll just wrapped it up for you. You might get hungry while watching our dry-run."

Jennie and Lisa were the last one that arrived at the campus where their meeting place would be. Everyone was confused why the two of them are together.

"Why is Jennie with you?" Seulgi asked.

"I spent the night at Lisa's" Jennie answered which made Seulgi look at Lisa suspiciously. Lisa glare at Seulgi knowing what is on her mind right now.

"Okay, let's get on the bus." Seulgi announced.

Hanbin saw Jennie and he quickly went towards her to send a greeting. Lisa can't help but to roll her eyes in annoyance. Jennie showed her gummy smile to the guy which made Lisa more irritated. The blonde can't take it anymore when she heard that Hanbin was asking Jennie to sit beside him. Not wanting to hear what her best friend's answer is, she quickly hop inside the bus leaving the two of them. She was sure that Jennie wouldn't let this opportunity slide.

"What's the point of waiting out there when I already knew the answer?" Lisa thought and flopped herself at the backmost part of the bus. She took her earphones out and plug it on. She needs some music to divert her attention.

Few more minutes have passed, Lisa felt someone sat beside her. But to her disappointment, it was Sehun, instead of her best friend.

"Hoping for someone?" Sehun asked. Lisa just rolled her eyes and went back to listening some music but before playing it again, she heard Sehun spoke.

"What a shame. You're best friend already enjoying's other company. Looks like you've been ditched." Sehun said.

Lisa followed his eyes and regret it afterwards. She saw how Jennie was happily talking to her crush. She played the music again and put it on its max volume. She closed her eyes, it's better to get some sleep than watching that hurtful scene.

Lisa was about to finally fell into a deep slumber when someone took off her other earphone. She groaned in annoyance knowing who the culprit is.

"What the fuck Sehoe?" She asked angrily.

"Whoa. Chill your jealous ass. I just want some music too. Share some." Sehun replied.

Lisa was about to respond but she was cut-off with a fake cough. She slowly lifted her head and saw a pair of cat-eyes glaring at the man beside her.

"I believe that you're seating at my spot." Jennie said to Sehun coldly.

"But you're-"

"Stand up. Now." Jennie said not giving Sehun a chance to talk. Sehun mouthed an "okay" and walk away towards beside Hanbin.

Jennie then flopped herself beside Lisa and smiled at her widely.

"What are you doing here?" Lisa asked coldly.

"I'm sitting beside my best friend." Jennie replied innocently.

"Really? Thought you were enjoying back there. Look, he's staring at you. Maybe you need to go back where you belong." Lisa said. Coldness is still visible at her voice.

"Are you mad?" Jennie asked.

"No. I'm happy Jennie. I'm happy that my best friend almost ditched me." Lisa replied sarcastically.

"Aww. My Lili is jealous." Jennie said and clung to Lisa's arms.

"Tch. Just go back there. I need to get some sleep." Lisa said and leaned her head towards the bus's window.

"Don't be mad Lili. I was just caught up with Hanbin's stories. I'm not planning to ditch you." Jennie said with her cutest voice.

"Fine." Lisa said knowing that she cannot resist her best friend. Jennie smiled widely at Lisa which made the heart of the latter melt.

Few more minutes have passed, Lisa saw her best friend yawned. She offered her shoulder to Jennie which the kitten gladly accepted. Lisa also gave one of her earphone to her and leaned her head over Jennie's. They both fell into a deep slumber.

"Oh gosh. Look how handsome she was." Nayeon gushed over Lisa as she's watching her rehearsing.

Jennie's blood automatically boiled when she heard the bunny squealed. If she just didn't promise to Lisa that she would behave, she would definitely pull out those two big front teeth of this girl. Luckily, Rosѐ and Jisoo were already there to keep Jennie calm.

Jennie focused her eyes back to the group. Her eyes twinkle when she saw her crush rehearsing. She wished that she could go down there so that she can wipe those sweats that's starting to form on his forehead.

Jennie roamed her eyes once more and it landed on her best friend who was seriously focused on the rehearsal. She heard that Lisa's doing a solo and she can't help but to feel excited. Jennie stare at the certain blonde for a few more minute.

"If Lisa was a guy, I would have definitely a crush on her." Jennie thought to herself. She admitted that her best friend looks hot especially when she's on her serious state.

Few more minutes have passed, the competition was about to start. Everyone's getting excited, the whole venue were filled with different cheers from different schools.

Jennie roamed her eyes, trying to get a sight of her best friend so that she can send a good luck sign but the backstage were fully secured. She slouched back to her seat and don't have any choice but to wait for their turn.

"This dancers are so lame! When will Lisa's group show up?" Jennie said irritated.

"Calm down Jen. Just wait." Jisoo said.

"But I'm getting bored!"

"So are we. But we don't have any other choice." Rosѐ said softly.

Jennie brushed her hair out of frustration. She closed her eyes and massage her temples. She can't stand watching those lame performances.

"Up next, the defending champions, Black Velvet!"

Jennie quickly lifted up her head when she finally heard that Lisa's crew has been called. She immediately focused her whole attention towards the stage. The members are going towards the stage one by one. And went the music started, the whole crowd went wild as they started dancing. Jennie squinted her eyes as she notice something odd.

"Where's Lisa?" She asked the two girls beside her but they just shrugged off. Both of them have no idea where Lisa might be.

The stage became dark and the dancers are getting of the stage. A silhouette of a certain tall girl suddenly showed up.

"Oh. Is it her solo?" Jennie said and clap her hands excitedly.

Jennie's mouth parted when she saw Lisa wearing a sexy outfit. Her clothes fits her body perfectly. The crowd went silent as they enjoyed watching Lisa's performance. Jennie has watched this for the second time but she still can't helped to be amazed.

The music suddenly changed and Lisa looked over her shoulder and send a smirk which made the crowd go wild. She started to move her hips sexier than ever. When Lisa lie down at the floor with her stomach and started dry humping, the crowd went wilder. Except for Jennie who is now being the opposite. Jennie's eyes widened, and she can't count how many times she had gulped while watching her best friend's performance. This was the part where Seulgi cut her off, she didn't expect it to be this intense. Lisa finished her solo performance with a flying kiss that makes the cheers grew even louder. Jennie finally let out the breath that she's been holding.

As expected, Black Velvet won again. The whole crew went back to the campus' studio and rejoice for their victory. Seulgi gathered up her members and announce that they will having a celebration for two nights at her girlfriend's resort this coming weekend.

"You guys are also welcome." Seulgi added pertaining to the Jennie, Rosѐ, Jisoo and Nayeon.

After Seulgi's announcement, she immediately dismissed them so they can take a rest. Lisa went towards her best friend who quickly hugged and congratulate her.

"Uh, Jennie?" Hanbin suddenly spoke which made Jennie pull away from Lisa. She straightened herself and Lisa swear, she saw once again that twinkle on Jennie's eyes that she's been wishing to be for her.

"Can I pick you up this coming weekend?" Hanbin asked. Jennie take a look first at Lisa for confirmation but the blonde was looking at the opposite direction.

"Uhm. Ok-"

"Lisa!"

Jennie was cut off when she heard the voice of that bunny that she hated the most. She quickly turned around and saw Nayeon smiling at Lisa.

"Hi, Nayeon." Lisa greeted.

"Congratulations!" Nayeon said and pull Lisa for a hug. Jennie clenched her fist automatically.

"Thank you." Lisa replied.

"So, can I ask you a favor? Can you pick me up this weekend?" Nayeon cutely asked. Lisa looked back at Jennie wearing those blank eyes of her.

"If you're going with him, then I should just pick her up together with Rosѐ and Jisoo." Lisa said blankly.

"No. I'm going with you." Jennie said quickly. She mouthed an apology to Hanbin and leave.

Lisa bid goodbye to Nayeon and followed her best friend tracks. She can't help but to smile knowing that Jennie chose her over Hanbin. Thanks to Nayeon, if she didn't showed up, Jennie would have agreed to Hanbin's offer. Lisa sigh in relief and fasten her pace to catch up to the feline.
