Chapter 16

Third Person's POV

"What the hell is she doing here?" Jennie whispered to Jisoo.

"I don't know. Why don't you ask your best friend?" Jisoo whispered back.

The four of them usually eats together at the cafeteria during lunch time but today was different. There was a person added to their table and that person was the one who Jennie hated the most.

They were on their way towards the cafeteria when suddenly someone jumped at Lisa and clung to her neck. Shock is written all over Lisa's face, her palms became sweaty as nervousness enters her system knowing that a certain pair of feline eyes are once again sending deadly glares to her. Lisa carefully removed Nayeon's arm around her neck but Nayeon quickly wrapped her hands around Lisa's arm. Jennie scoffed in annoyance and walk fast towards the cafeteria leaving them behind.

"Lisa, can we hang out later after school? Please." Nayeon asked cutely.

Jennie rolled her eyes in disgust from the sight in front of her. She was supposed to seat next to Lisa but Nayeon force her way towards her seat leaving Jennie no choice but to sat in front of them and endure this moment.

"Cringe." Jennie muttered.

"I can't. I have dance practice later." Lisa said. Jennie unconsciously smiled hearing Lisa declining Nayeon's invitation. But that smile didn't last long.

"Then I'll wait for you to finish your practice."

Jennie let go of her fork which made a clanking sound loudly earning the attention of the other four.

"Are you not finishing your food Jen?" Rosѐ asked.

"Nah. You can have it if you want. My appetite suddenly flew away." Jennie said and narrowed her eyes at the girl in front of her. Rosѐ quickly took the food with twinkle on her eyes.

"So Lisa, what's your answer?" Nayeon asked once again. Jennie rested her elbow at the table and rested her chin on her fist while looking at any direction escaping the sight in front of her. Jennie's reaction didn't escape Lisa's eyes. She knew that if she agreed, Jennie would be so mad again at her and that was the last thing that she didn't want to happen.

"I'm sorry Nayeon. I promise to hang out with Jennie later." Lisa said while looking at Jennie who is now looking back at her with eyes widened in surprised. Lisa smiled sweetly at Jennie which made the later to smile back at her.

"Okay. Then maybe some other time." Nayeon said sadly. Lisa just nodded, her eyes are still not leaving Jennie's. Jisoo and Rosѐ saw what happened and can't help but to squeal in silence. They found Jennie and Lisa look good when they finally got together. And they can sense that their something special going on between them.

"Hey Lisa. Be ready for later." Seulgi suddenly appear out of nowhere.

"Of course cap. I was born ready." Lisa said and grin at Seulgi confidently.

"Oh. Really?" Seulgi wear a smirk which suddenly made Lisa nervous.

"By the way. The practice later is open for audience. You should come, especially you." Seulgi said and pointed out at Jennie.

"Me?" Jennie replied.

"Yup. You're Lisa's best friend right? You should watch Lisa do her assignment today." Seulgi said. Lisa was surprised at what she heard.

"Oh. I wonder what assignment that would be. But sure, I'll come." Jennie said casually.

"Can I have a minute?" Lisa said before pulling Seulgi away from the group.

When Lisa ensured that they are far enough from where Jennie is, she quickly let go of Seulgi's wrist who is now whining in pain because of her grip.

"Yah! Are you planning to destroy my wrist? Geez. Are you a relative of that green guy from Marvel?" Seulgi ask while caressing her wrist.

"I'm sorry cap. But, what the fuck are you thinking?!" Lisa asked.

"What? Oh. About inviting Jennie? I thought you're born ready?"

"I am! But why do you need to invite her?"

"What's wrong about inviting her? And technically, I invited all of them. I'm helping you to make a move brother. You should be thankful."

"I told you she's homophobic. And for the record, I don't like her. Well, maybe but-"

"And I told you I don't believe in that some kind of shit. Just observe the way how she looks at you!"

"You're such a pain in the ass."

"No Lisa. You are."

Seulgi bursted out in laughter as she saw Lisa's annoyed face. She loves teasing her junior but she's pretty sure about what she's been seeing about Jennie's behavior especially when she saw how Jennie's eyes grew on fire whenever Nayeon comes closer to Lisa.

Lisa stomped her way back towards the cafeteria where Nayeon has nowhere to be found. Maybe she already went towards her class. Her sulky face didn't escape Jennie's eyes. The feline furrowed her eyebrows while staring at her best friend.

"What happened Lili?" She asked.

"Nothing. Just Seulgi being an ass." Lisa replied and lower her head at the table. Jennie chuckled a bit. She think that sulking Lisa is cute.

"You're nervous about later Lili?" Jennie asked.

"No. But you watching me do my assignment later makes me anxious. I don't want to exceed your expectations and at the same time I don't want to disappoint you." Lisa said.

"Calm down Lili. I've saw how good you are. There's no need to worry about." Jennie flashed her infamous gummy smile towards Lisa and the latter's face suddenly grew bright. Seeing her Nini smiling like that sends butterfly into her stomach.

The class has ended and Lisa rushed her way towards the dance studio. She's nervous as hell knowing that the person she like the most is going to watch her today. Jennie watched her do the audition but today is way more different than that. She don't know why but after confirming to herself that she really do see her best friend as her special someone, she can't help but to feel anxious.

"Lili!"

Hearing her nickname, Lisa already knew who is calling her. She turn around and saw Jennie waving happily to her. Jennie rushed towards Lisa leaving Jisoo and Rosѐ behind.

"I wish you luck Manoban." Jennie said and let out a smirk and patted Lisa's shoulder before entering the dance studio. Jisoo and Rosѐ do the same and followed Jennie's tracks. Lisa can't help but to take a deep breath and convince herself that everything will be alright.

Lisa went to the locker room to change her clothes. She wore a black crop top that shows her abs perfectly. She partnered it with a black sweatpants and a black snickers. She let her blonde hair flow freely.

"Hey. You're up for today huh?" Momo asked as she spot Lisa when she entered the locker room.

"Sadly, yes."

"Well, that explains why we got a whole lot of crowd out there." Momo giggled.

"What?" Lisa said and rushed towards the door of the dance studio to take a peek. There she confirmed that Momo was saying the truth. Lisa felt overwhelmed seeing a bunch of students gathered to watch her.

"Are they really allowed inside?" Lisa asked Momo when she got back to the locker room.

"Yup. Captain's order." Momo said and removed her shirt without saying anything. Lisa immediately look away, after confirming to herself that she's gay, she's not comfortable anymore about other girls stripping in front of her.

"Why you're looking away? We both have this." Momo said when she noticed Lisa's gesture.

"You're straight and I'm not. That would be disrespectful." Lisa said still not looking at the latter.

"Who says I'm straight?" Momo's laughed cause Lisa to raise her head. It's a good thing that Momo finished changing because if she was not yet done, Lisa would be so embarrassed.

"I-I thought, y-you're-"

"Girl, your gay radar is way too rusty. We need to polish that."

The two of them burst out in laughter but after hearing Seulgi's call, they quickly fix their things and went straight inside the studio.

"You know what, I just learned that this was the first time the dance club allowed students to watch the practice." Momo started. Lisa furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"Maybe captain wants to show you off." Momo added.

"Or maybe it's her another way to boost our confidence once again." Lisa replied.

"You have a point. Anyway, let's go. There's still a lot of students you need to impress."

"Whatever." Lisa rolled her eyes playfully and went inside the studio.

"Go and get them, ace!" Momo shouted before entering which earned her a playful glare from the latter.

"Finally. It's time for Lisa's solo." Jennie said excitedly.

"You're not that excited aren't you kitten?" Jisoo said.

"Whatever chicken." Jennie replied and rolled her eyes.

"Stop bickering. Look, Lisa's about to start." Rosѐ said which cause the two to behave.

Lisa was sitting at the center of the room. Her eyes roam for a bit, looking a certain person. When she met Jennie's feline eyes, she smiled. She can't help but to think how her best friend would react when she started dancing.

The music started and Lisa's eyes suddenly changed. Her goofy aura suddenly turned into a sexy one. Gasped were heard when Lisa lay down at the floor and started moving her hips sexily. When she do a little grind, cheers from the every corner of the room grew louder. Hearing those cheers makes Lisa smirk and be determined to give her audience a better performance.

Jennie's throat suddenly became dry when she saw how Lisa started to move sexily. She's very aware that Lisa can really dance but seeing her do a sexy one was a complete surprise for her. Lisa continued to dance sexily and she did all of those sexy moves while locking her eyes to the kitten. Jennie can feel some sweat starting to form around her forehead.

The song was about to change but Seulgi suddenly stood up and turned off the radio leaving the students in disappointment and Lisa in confusion.

"Okay, that's all for today. If you want to see the whole performance of our ace, better watch our competition next month. Okay?" Seulgi announced. The students have no choice but to agree and they started no move out from the studio one by one.

"Hey Jennie, are you okay?" Rosѐ asked when she saw Jennie's unreadable expression.

"W-what? O-of course. I'm okay Rosie." Jennie stuttered.

"What happened to you? Are you sick? You're sweating a lot. And why are your cheeks have some pink tint?" Jisoo asked.

"No. I'm fine. It's hot in here. I'll just go get some air." Jennie said before leaving.

"What's with her? The air condition is fully turned on." Rosѐ said.

"And so as her." Jisoo smirk while watching Jennie leave.
