iv: Recollection Blanking

"Just as I suspected. Nothing." Crowley said to [N]. "Your homeland is not listed on any map from any point in history."

Crowley spoke as he crossed his arms. "Now, are you QUITE sure that you come from such a place? That wasn't some sort of lie, or jape?"

"Why would I lie about where I live?" [N] asked with a look of annoyance.

Crowley shrugged. "Maybe you were summoned from another planet? or another dimension?"

[N] scoffed. "Another dimension? Get serious."

"Do you have any form of identification? A driver's license? An old school ID?" Crowley asked, ignoring [N]'s previous statement.

"Um... I have this phone, if that's of any help." [N] said as the took their new phone out of their pocket. "But I just got it, so there's no information of me on here yet."

Crowley then put a finger to his chin. "Well. this is the quite the predicament."

"Well I guess you will have to enroll here until I find your way home!" Crowley said with a smile on his face.

"Didn't you hear the Dark Mirror?" [N] retorted, "There is no place for me here. Why would I possibly stay somewhere I do not belong?"

Crowley chuckled. "There's an empty dorm on campus. You could stay there while I figure out a way for you to get home," Crowley then smiled "Dear me, but I am a gracious man indeed! A model educator, one might say."

"No, you are not." [N] swiftly disagreed with the man, shaking their head as they crossed their arms.

"Nevermind that, I shall take you to your new dorm for the time being straight away. It is an older building, but it has plenty of...character, one might say." Crowley said with a bit of uncertainty lacing his voice.

v/vi: A Perplexing Puzzle/A Move-In Struggle

"Y'know Crowley, I'm all for some character, but this seems like a bit too much character if you ask me." [N] said as they both stood in front of the old building.

Crowley smiled. "Isn't it delightful? Right, scoot inside now. There you go."

> RAMSHACKLE DORM LOUNGE

"This should keep the elements at bay for the time being." Crowley said while [N] looked around the dusty building.

"Now, I should return to my research. Do try and busy yourself," Crowley said, trying to sound monotone. "But don't let me catch you wandering the campus after hours! Classes start tomorrow, I'll bring you your uniform a bit later. Ta!"

"Oooh, I got a new powerful student to enroll... I'm so excited teehee..." Crowley whispered to himself as he did a small little dance while walking out.

"...Weirdo." [N] said before looking around once more. "I don't even see a clean place to sit."

Then, rain started to fall. Making the scenery all but more gloomy. "Looks like it started to rain. How calming."

"GWAH! It's pouring out there!" A familiar voice has spoken.

{N] looked at the source of the voice, "Erm..."

"Nyah! It's you again! I haven't gotten my revenge on you for disabling my magic!" Grim said with an angry expression on his face.

"How are you even here? The guards took you away as soon as I rendered you incapable to use your fire." [N] said as they crossed their arms.

Grim just gave them a sly smirk. "As if I wouldn't just sneak back onto campus the second I escaped pryin' eyes. You all got no idea what I'm capable of!"

Grim continued, "I ain't givin' up on goin' here just 'cause I got kicked out one measly ol' time. And if you think otherwise, you don't know Grim!"

"I don't think I wanna know Grim. Why are you so determined to go to this school anyway? Aren't there other ones?" [N] asked as they bent down to the creature's level.

"Isn't it obvious?' Grim stated, "I was born to do this! I'm a magical prodigy who's got the makin's to become one of the greatest mages who ever lived!"

[N] nodded at the beast's words, prompting him to continue. "So I've been waitin' and waitin' for that black carriage to come for me."

"And yet..." Grim has a sad look on his face, quickly changing to a look of annoyance, "Hrmph! That Dark Mirror's got no eye for talent!"

A smirk then rose on the beast's face. "That's why I took the initiative and came here myself!"

"You humans don't understand what a mistake you're makin'!" Grim said with a wide grin. "Not lettin' me in is a great loss to the world!"

Due to the rain and the fact that Ramshackle's dorm has holes in its roof, water was dripping onto floors. Some droplets dripped onto Grim's head.

"Mrrao! C'mon, scoot over! I'm getting wet over here!" Grim has yelped out.

Another hole in the roof was made, making Grim complain even more, "Bwah! Another hole in the roof. The flamin' ears are like my trademark, y'know? I can't let em' get doused!"

"If you have time to complain, you have time to help me fix the holes in the roof and clean up the dorm a bit." [N] said before they left to find cleaning supplies.

Grim realized they were leaving. "You're not the boss of me, human!"

"If you don't help out, I'll throw you out into the rain without your magic!" [N] had said from another part of the dorm.

"Eek!! I-I'm coming, human!" Grim said as he swiftly went to find [N] on all fours.

> HALLWAY

[N] had heard many creaks along the floorboards as they scavenged for some brooms and such. "Urgh... this place creeps me out. Blegh..."

Out of nowhere, three ghosts appeared in front of them, spooking them. "Gaaah!"

"Yee hee hee...Bwa ha ha ha ha ha." One of the ghosts started to laugh.

"We haven't had visitors in ages!" The ghost spoke.

"Oh, I'm just itchin' for new friends!" A ghost with a deeper voice started to speak.

"Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!" More laughter was heard.

"Go away!" [N] had yelled out as they backed away.

Grim came over due to the commotion. "Hey, keep it down over—"

"AAAAAH! GHOSTS! GHOOOOOSTS!!" Grim yelled out with two paws In the air.

The medium sized ghost then spoke. "All the people who used ta live here got scared of us and ran away."

"We just want a new ghost to play with! What do you say, buddy?" The biggest ghost ask [N] and Grim.

[N] laughed. "I would rather lick the bottom of Crowley's shoe."

Grim was so scared he started to shiver. "Eeeeeep!"

"I'm a master sorcerer!" Grim has gained his composure back. "I ain't afraid of any dumb ghosts!"

"Myahaa!" Grim breathed out a large gust of fire towards the ghosts.

The skinniest ghosts started to taunt the beast. "Nuh-uh. Not even close."

The biggest ghost started to speak. "Over here! Ah ha ha ha!"

"Argh! They keep disappearing and reappearing!" Grim said as he breathed out more fire towards the ghosts.

[N] then took the magical pen that was still on their belt and used air magic to redirect the path of the flames towards where the ghosts reappeared.

"Gaah! They got me!" the medium sized ghost said in agony.

Grim then looked at [N] with an angry expression. "Hey! i coulda' handled those ghosts all on my own!"

"You were aiming with your eyes closed," [N] started. "I get that you wanna get rid of these ghosts but please, try and do it while keeping the dorm intact."

Grim grumbled. "Alright fine! But don't get in my way!"

"As you wish." [N] smirked as they readied their pen.

> VILLAINS' WORLD

[N] and Grim were able to fend of the ghosts by working almost perfectly In sync. As if they were dancing to music.

"Myaaah!" Grim breathed out more fire, causing the ghosts to scream.

"Hwaaaahhh!! We gotta get out of here! Before we disappear for good!" The ghosts said all at the same time, as they disappeared from sight.

[N] breathed a sigh of relief. They were so unused to using magic, much less at a large scale.

"H-huh? Did we... win?" Grim asked as he looked around for the ghosts.

[N] had nodded with a smile. "Guess we make a pretty good team."

"Aw geez, I was scared outta my—" Grim cut himself off. "I mean, they didn't faze me one bit!"

Grim then gave a look of triumph. "Just a walk in the park for a mage of my caliber! Whaddaya got to say now, ghosties? That's right!"

"Good evening. In another gesture of my immense kindness, I have brought you dinner and your new uniform." Crowley said, coming out of nowhere.

Crowley then noticed Grim. "Wait. That's the creature we ejected for causing trouble at orientation! What is it doing here?!"

Grim then has a smirk grow on his face. "Takin' care of yer ghost problem, that's what. You're welcome, by the way."

"What is the meaning of this, [N]?" Crowley gave his attention to [N], who was avoiding eye contact.

[N] shrugged. "What? This dorm was riddled with ghosts. I just happen to bump into him while I was dealing with your ghost problem."

"Hmm...But you know, on that topic, I do seem to recall that this dorm had a mischievous ghost problem." Crowley responded.

Crowley then put a finger to his chin. "Ah, yes...that's why it was abandoned. In fact, the ghosts scared away all the students."

"And you're saying that you two joined forces to drive them away?" Crowley said, a bit skeptical.

"'Joined forces' ain't exactly how i'd describe it." Grim said, crossing his arms.

[N] looked down at him. "If you try and get smart again, I'll throw you out."

"Eeeep! T-that's exactly how i'd describe it! Hehe..." Grim said with a scared expression on his face.

"Would you two be so kind as to demonstrate your ghost-eradication methods to me?" Crowley asked the duo.

[N] chuckled. "No, because we're tired and I have school tomorrow."

"And we already wiped 'em out!" Grim said with his arms crossed.

"I will play the part of the ghosts." Crowley retorted. "And as a reward, you'll receive some tuna for your efforts. Oh, what generosity, Crowley..."

Grim went wide-eyed. "T-tuna...? Hey human! Let's work together again!"

"Ugh, whatever." [N] said with a sigh.

Crowley then took out a potion. "Now to chug this transmutation potion!"

Crowley then turned into a ghost. his most notable attributes, like his mask and hat, stayed while in his ghost form.

[N] just shivered as they looked at the man. "How terrifying..."

"Now, show me your teamwork! Don't hold back you two!" Crowley said, disappearing from sight.
