CHAPTER 50

Sarah's POV.

"You are the answer to every prayer I've offered. You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I don't know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have."

Sooo we kissed.

We freaking kissed.

A full-blown kiss.

And let me tell you how undeniably happy my heart is and it's not on a constant war with my brain aka my inner voice.

Wohoooooo.

He kissed me just like that. Just like his life depended on it, without warning, without my permission.

Just to be clear I am not complaining.

And why should I?

It was just perfect. Just what I wanted.

That also meant he liked me for real.

He did. He so definitely did.

And I did too just so profoundly that I couldn't put up the facade of not liking him.

So when he was about to pull back because of the lack of my ability to react to the damn kiss I quickly lurched in action and kissed him back.

I. Kissed. Him. BACK. With. A. PASSION. ANd it was so genuine that my body was charged with electricity.

Like butterflies.

Like elephants.

Like dinosaur in my stomach.

Or wait,

Like I am run over by a frigging zoo.

Like fireworks in the sky.

Or that feeling which you get while you go down on a rollercoaster.

All of it.

Dayum...

That's what I thought. Also, he is a good kisser.

"Oops, I think I have entered at the wrong time." Nate's voice made us draw apart from each other.

Panting heavily and gasping for breath.

Darn it.

I hid my face in Zack's chest feeling the rumbling of his laughter.

The nerve of this ass.

He is laughing at my expense.

I am pretty sure, at this moment my cheeks were turning into tomatoes.

Bright and Red.

"Sorry, did I interrupt something?" Nate said sorry but his voice held nothing like sorry. He was legit grinning from ear to ear. Heck, even Zack was laughing at him making me smile along with him.

"Oh, you bet."

"Like I care." He playfully scoffed.

"You annoying SOB." I laughed.

"Wasn't I Goofball?" He gasped.

"You were, now you are an ANNOYING SOB!" I smirked making Zack double over his laughter.

"Traitor." Nate gasp dramatically.

"Dramaqueen. Real mature." I rolled my eyes playfully.

"And you are an ANNOYING IDIOT." I shoved my finger in Zack's chest playfully.

"It hurt. RIght here." Nate put his hand on the heart pretending to be hurt. I rolled my eyes.

"Your eyes will be stuck behind if you keep rolling them, baby girl." Zack whispered slowly.

"Maybe." I grinned.

Slowly everyone crammed in my little hospital room.

"Honey, how are you feeling?" My Mom asked.

"Like I have been hit over." I grinned as my dad shook his head on my answer.

"Can't lose the humour, can you?" Dad chuckled.

"Would I still get this attention then?" I felt Zack squeeze my hand in response.

"Now it's not the time for the joke, we were all batshit worried." Mom rolled her eyes playfully at me making everyone chuckle.

Guess where the skill came from?

"Everyone, I am just fine. flawless as ever." I grinned at all of them. They relaxed.

"You bitch, you better be." The girls forced Zack out from my side and hugged me.

"I am glad, now you can beat my ass in the game again." Garrett grinned.

"Sistaaaaa." Cameron and John yelled making me scrunch my nose.

"Ew."

"Deal with it sista." The twins came by my side and hugged me.

"Only for you putas." I grinned.

"Oh, you're on schmuck." John grinned.

"Alright enough, now that everyone's here I want to do something." My heart thudded remarkably fast at zack's words.

"So Cherry,

Remember what our mom's say-" He paused and I sucked in a long breath.

And then he continued, "Someday someone will walk in with extra rays of light, who meets you halfway and chimes your life with all the melodious tune and someone who loves you wholly and unconditionally just the way you are, who loves you when you can't love yourself.

And when you finally meet them enjoy every little thing that life throws your way.

The sunsets, the takeaways, the dogs, the laughter, the moon, the drinks and the soft toilet paper. Your happiness is too pure. You are my happiness Cherry. Will you be my girlfriend?" I nodded happiness bubbling from every ounce of me.

He KISSED ME ON FOREHEAD.

"Solid gold Schmuck" Cameron wolf-whistled with John. Nate just filmed everything on phone and oh well, the girls were squealing and Garrett was grinning.

And now Nate was filming everyone's reaction including our parent's.

"500 bucks." Zack's and my mother deviously smirked at the respective dad's.

Reluctantly, both the dad's slapped 500$ on their hands.

"You all really bet on us? Real mature guys." I rolled my eyes.

"And it was Ava's idea." Derek sighed like my dad.

"Real Mature guys, Real mature."

One and a half week later with absolute bliss that my boyfriend aka Zack made me feel, we were standing out of school.

Senior year.

Wohoooooo.

Here I come.

It's been one and a half week like I said and Zack was there every day at my home to spend time with me, to bring me food and to annoy the hell outta me.

I tell you, we have become more annoying now.

I had not recovered fully which is why Zack was carrying my bag in the school.

"Peek-a-boo" A familiar voice echoed.

"Lisa! Leo!" I exclaimed happily.

"Here we are." They grinned and hugged.

As we walked inside the school my squad i.e. Cameron, Luna, Tristee, John, Garrett and Samantha and now Leo and Lisa went to pick up our schedules.

They all instantly hit it off.

Phew.

My schedule was simple.

Classes on "A" Days

CALCULUS

PHYSICS

HOMEROOM (first lunch)

AP LITERATURE

Classes on "B" Days

BIOLOGY

SPANISH HONOURS

AP PSYCHOLOGY (fourth lunch)

AMERICAN HISTORY

Phew.

"Let's get going." I yell. Clearly very excited.

We were walking to our respective lockers when I bumped in my former friends.

I stared at them awkwardly and they stared at me awkwardly.

Talk about A.W.K.W.A.R.D.

"Umm hey guys." I waved at them.

"Hie Sarah." Ellie hugged me when Kate and Rose just stared.

"How are you?"

"Just fantastic. But I'll see you later okay?" She wiggled her eyebrows and walked with her twin and Kate.

And sometimes, you watch your friends walk away only to realise they weren't your friends as much as you thought them to be.

"Hey girlie, whatcha thinking about?" Luna and Tristee grinned at me and as on the cue my eyes landed on James.

Still my neighbour and still the same nincompoop.

Some things don't change, right?

I shook my head and walk away with them.

My first class was Calculus.

Doomed.

I hated it.

I hate every kind of math.

When lunch rolled by, I wanted to dig in my cheese-stuffed sandwich. Once I bought my lunch I happily walked back to my table where already my squad was there. The boys smirking as usual and the girls growling in anger.

Whaaat happened?

Darn its drama.

"What's up?"

"What's up? You're asking what's up? The girls ogling out boyfriends is up. They throwing themselves at the Pearson trio is up!" Luna sassily exclaimed and Tristee nodded along while I laughed.

"Possessive much." Lisa quipped snickering obnoxiously which made me grin eventually.

"What?" Tristee asked, bewildered.

"I smell jealousy sis." Leo high fived Lisa while the rest of the boys laughed and rolled their eyes.

"Just wait and watch." Like she said the Pearson trio were getting undeniable extra attention, I had observed that too. I had seen girls throw them at Zack and how awkward he was later, I was looking at it while I leaned on the locker.

What I am a great girlfriend. If he is mine, he is mine.

As on the cue, a girl named Brittney with a scrawny figure and cake face walked straight up at our table batting her fake eyelashes at my boyfriend. She had tons on makeup layer and bright pink lipstick across her pouty lips, just so FAKE. I coughed to hide my laughter.

"Hey baby, are you free tonight?" She purred like a cat. Eww. I was clutching the strap of my bag very tightly to stop from laughing.

Baby? Who baby? What baby?

"Are you sure you're on the right table Britania? I am sure as hell not free for you and neither is any guy on the table here." Zack smirked.

"Oh my gosh Britania." I gave a full on throaty laugh.

"It's Brittney." She roared. You really belong to the cat family girl.

"Well he is my boyfriend so I suggest you to take your plastic dolled face elsewhere and suck someone else's face." I smirked whilst she huffed.

"And Britania you better say it to your sidekicks." Luna yelled.

"It's Brittney."

"Whatever Britania." Tristee shrugged her off and Lisa showed her a middle finger while the rest of us laughed.

"Ladies and gentlemen, that's how you do it." I grinned.

I sure as hell am but also sad the book has just one more chapter.
