CHAPTER 35

Sarah's POV.

Nature is our first home. Always has been and always will. It accepts us the way we are.

If I told you how much I wanted to forget the little incident that happened in my room, you wouldn't believe it. It was a huge deal for me considering the fact that I never kissed anyone even when I had a boyfriend and an almost-boyfriend.

I was listening to slow music and I and Zack were currently on the verge of landing in Yorkville, Toronto. It was a beautiful place I haven't been in there for a lot of time but the green landscape seemed to have my heart. The small and big houses with perfect interiors and a shopping district with chic cafes and perfect dining seemed to have my heart too. It even had a posh boutique lane to sum it up. I didn't like shopping much but Yorkville was a perfect place. It had everything. It blew a sense of home here. It was peaceful and not too crowdy.

Zack's hand was on top of mine giving me a light squeeze as he smiled at me.

"I'm quite excited to see grandma."

"I am too." I said with enthusiasm because let's get it straight, she is a teen with us. She is pretty cool.

"Hah. I bet your ass you'll lose the card games again." He laughed as I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Whatever."

When we reached there, a big mansion was waiting for us or let's just say Zack's grandma was there already pacing around since his second favourite grandkid hasn't arrived yet.

That's right, everyone even the extended Pearson family had arrived yesterday except for Zack.

I grin as I see Lily, Zack's grandmother reaching out to hug me while the house helpers take the luggage inside.

"Hello beautiful, aren't you looking sexy?" I smiled warmly at her old figure.

"Yes young lady I'm sexy forever but that doesn't hide the fact you both are late." She frowned at the last part.

"And whose fault is that?" I smirked as I asked and immediately Lily was pulling Zack by his ear.

"Ouch ouch. Not the ear. I'm sorry grandma. Please leave my poor ear." I could hear Zack's faint whining as they all walked inside whilst I stood at the door letting the whiff of pleasant air spoil my hair at its best.

Summer, here I come.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" A voice came from beside me, our cheeks almost touching each other as I turned around to see who it was.

"Hello, Cameron-famous-Pearson and yes it is beautiful and peaceful." I grinned as we regained the distance between us.

"Hello to you too Sarah. Don't you look all hot now?" He smirked.

"Oh well, I've been working on it." I winked making him uncomfortable.

"Ahh, it's paying off girl. Good work." He came forward to hug me but was cut off by my one and only. Phew. That would be too close for my liking. Sudden hugs not my thing.

"Hey Brother. Where is your twin?" Zack beamed at Cameron.

"Hey. Just down the street for a coffee" Cameron hugged him instead while Zack winked at me for saving me from the awkward hug if it were to happen.

Oh well, I may have forgotten to tell you that, Cameron and John are unidentical twins but they have same honey blonde hair and blue eyes.

Literally cute and hot.

I am not eyeing them don't worry.

"Oh Cherry, let's go get to our rooms before we dig out for dresses." Zack sighed thinking about the shopping again.

"Wait you are yet to buy a ball dress?" Cameron grinned.

"What's with the grinning?" I gave him a skeptical look.

"Uh well, I am happy as I and John are gonna have some company as Tristee and Luna both are probably on the same plan of shopping. Shopping sucks." I chucked at Cameron's little rant.

"Hello to you too Cameron." Two girls glared at him. I am guessing they heard the last part of his rant.

Interesting.

I looked at Zack to see if he knew who they were but he shrugged in the response.

"Hello, I am Tristee Velvet."

"And I am Luna Grey."

They both smiled at me and Zack but glared at Cameron making me chuckle. I couldn't hold it.

"I'm Sarah, Zack's best friend." I smiled at them.

"Oh well, we know. We have heard about you both and your friendship so much. Sorry I can't hold it anymore, are you two a couple?" The girls gushed at the thought of it.

"Mhmm no." Zack answered. I tried to put on a smile at his answer but I couldn't so instead I nodded.

"Alright. I am his girlfriend." Tristee pointed at Cameron while he smiled sheepishly.

"I'm John's girlfriend." Luna grinned.

"Kids go freshen up so then you all can go shopping." Lily yelled from the corner where the stairs started.

So then we retired to our rooms just so we had food as our prize.

Knowing me, I can't leave food. It's my life.

Right now at this instant and forever, I would reckon you to have someone shop for you really.

I with Zack, Garrett with his date Samantha, John with his girlfriend Luna and Cameron with his girlfriend Tristee and our dearest Lily were all in this damn mall for the past hour and to top it off, I and Zack were lazily keeping it up with all of them.

My stomach was rumbling from hunger and I wanted to ditch the ball so badly since I didn't have a damn dress while the girls who were so eagerly moving up the mall had backups in their closet.

Great.

Just great.

Ugh. Why did I even agree?

We entered a decent and quiet boutique to raid their collection. There were so many dresses I really hope I  can get one for me because I can't take it anymore.

I let my eyes saunter over the pile of dresses here and there and honestly, the girls were just dawdling their time. I wonder if they really wanted to buy anything at all or they just wanted the guys to suffer because by the looks of it John, Garrett and Cameron were tiredly groaning from the couch of the boutique.

I had to stifle my laughter here. I was biting my lip to suppress the laugh that was threatening to come out of my mouth.

I shake my head at those losers and continue to skim the dresses.

"Here, take these and try." Zack handed me a couple of dress to try. I didn't even see him going to find me a dress.

Sweet. Gesture.

I walk into the trial rooms and tried the first dress that was purple gradient and embroidery on the waist patch. It had a zip on the back and I couldn't zip it back. Sighing I peak out of the door to see if any of the girls are there but so much to my dismay there was no one.

"What's wrong?" Zack asked with a look of concern.

Great.

Just wow.

How do I tell him I can't zip it up.

"Where are the girls?" I say at the same time he said, "Have you tried any of the dress?"

"Yeah I have, I just need someone to uh.. zip the back of my dress." I say him shyly.

"Uh well, the girls are next door boutique do you mind if I help?"

"Yeah, that would be great. Come on in." I say him avoiding the red tint on my cheeks.

He awkwardly walked inside the trail room that was big enough to fit us in.

Yes, it was still awkward.

What were you thinking?

His hands moved up on my back like butter. Soft and smooth.

"Nah. Not this one."

"What?" I questioned a little confused so then he turned my face to the full-length mirror and we both cringed.

"Ok, I'll change into the other one." I pushed him out of the trial room as he chuckled at me.

Then I changed into a flowy occur yellow gown which was not that appealing to me but I called him inside.

"Zip please?" I smile turning my back so that he could zip it up.

Once again his soft hand moved on my back like he was making an art with his fingers.

His fingers on my bare back gave me all kinds of feelings that I didn't think I would ever feel. It's just very much weird and I kind of liked it.

I don't like lying okay?

So I am upfront saying that I liked it but just to myself.

And then I tried the last dress.

It was a coral pink sparkly dress. Which had a slit from the thigh and it had a sweetheart neckline while the frilly sleeves were attached to the sides which would land on my forearm. It was cute.

Although it had a bow behind hiding the small zip to hold it in place. I needed his help again.

"This looks just perfect." I found myself nodding at it.

A little happy because I finally found something pretty and I also have matching heels with it.

Yay. Finally.
