Sarah's POV.

Later when Zack left I trudged my way back into the house still being a little red and having a wide grin on my face.

My father came in seconds after Zack left, both of my parents comfortably sipping tea.

"How are you, sweetie?" My father asked smiling at me.

"Hey daddy, I'm all good!" I hugged him.

"How was your school honey?" My mother asked.

"Oh, it was fine apart from the fact that I was very hungry!" I grinned at them and my mother gave me a hearty laugh while my father was blinking at me.

"Wow, how can you think about food all the time?" My father grunted.

"Guess where that comes from?" My mother replied laughing.

"What? I am not always like this." He cried out pointing towards me.

"Whatever you say, daddy!" I chuckled.

He flipped through Netflix until he found a rom-com to watch.

"Wanna join?" My mother asked me.

"Nah I think I'll go upstairs and rest!" I said waving off their suggestion.

"Good night sweetie. Good night Cherry!"  My parents kissed my forehead.

"Good night mom dad." And I made my way towards the room.

I plopped down on the bed with a heavy sigh since the events of today ran through my mind and then a blush crept on my cheeks.

Zack: Hey.

Sarah: Yo.

Zack: Whatsup big bwoooogiess? 😂

Sarah: 😑😑

Zack: Aw, are you upset?

Sarah: you're a bully 😭

Bully: Hah😂

Sarah: What do you want for not teasing?

Bully: So...

Sarah: Soo????

Bully: So... Did James message you?

Sarah: Aw you care so much about him and me. You're such a cutie.

Cutie:  Ughh. I could mentally see him gagging over cutie.

Sarah: flying kisses to you.😘

Cutie: Why thank you. But I would pretty much like the real one *wink*

Sarah: Haha.

Cutie: So really did he text you?

Sarah: Noooooope.

Cutie: Asshole.

Sarah: Oh you're a cutie, not an asshole.

Cutie: Oh no darling not me, it's him. Well, I can take that kiss now.

Sarah: What no. Flying kisses is what you get you stupid.

Cutie: You're no fun.

Sarah: You're an annoying Idiot.

Annoying Idiot: oh I am so touched.

Sarah: you have my undivided attention, you should be touched.

Annoying Idiot: I second guess that! Aren't you reading your romance novels?

He was right. I was indeed reading.

Sarah: How do you know!?

Annoying Idiot: Just best friend thing.

Sarah: Awwww.

Annoying Idiot: Awww to you too. Anyways I have to talk to you about Kate and Rose.

Sarah: Go on. I am all ears now.

Annoying Idiot: So after New year's party like the next day I went to meet Kate.

Annoying Idiot: Actually wait, I'm calling you it's an annoying long story.

So the next minute he called.

"Hi." He sighed.

"Hit it, captain, I am all ears!" I mocked some foreign accent.

"Yeah. Just so you know I came over today to tell you this but Cheryl was there, therefore, I couldn't." He said.

"Okay." I replied.

"So shoot captain." I said again when he didn't reply.

"So, I went to Kate's home after the new year's party, you know since she didn't talk to me I thought maybe I should try and go talk to her. So I went to her home and I found Rose with her. She was kinda sick and they were hurrying out. So Kate told me that they are in a hurry and she would text me later so I left waiting for a text like an idiot. Her text didn't come that day and honestly, it's not even a surprise that she didn't come around but the next day I did call her to know what's happening. Do you remember Rose vomiting and you joking about it?" He said all of it in one breath.

I joked about her pregnancy.

"Yeah what about it?" My mind couldn't even connect to what was happening all of a sudden.

"Yeah well when I called Kate, she said to me all about Rose's pregnancy with her dick of  a boyfriend." He said and it seemed like my eyes popped out of their socket and my heart just got stuck in my throat.

"She what?" I barely made it out of my mouth.

"Yes, Rose was pregnant." He sighed.

"Was? What do you mean was?" I was baffled and it was not even an understatement.

"Because that day Kate and Rose went out for abortion. I was so much perplexed at this information that I didn't know if I should ask kate about my and her relationship or not, I decided to give a few days since Rose needed her care." He finished.

"Is that why Rose has been so pale?" I was so inattentive to that. I just thought she is not willing to talk.

"Yes might be but Kate told me that and I thought she is not talking because is busy." He chuckled dryly just like it was forced.

"Zackieee...." I purposely dragged his name in an alarming tone and he sighed.

"It's just I can't believe we both had a thing honestly what the fuck. What happened to her cherry! Gosh, it must have been so awful!" He stated flatly.

"I can see that!" I was not spiteful towards Rose whatever she chose to do with the thing she had between her and zack she pushed it. And somehow we can't choose who we love. Our heart wants what it wants.

"Few days passed on but Kate didn't talk. She has always been like this she talks whenever she wants. So I called Rose and talked about it." He paused.

"You did what?" I almost screamed. If anyone, I mean it, if anyone saw me like this they would think I am a mad woman because I am screaming every next minute and my eyeballs are out of the sockets. Not literally but just get the gist of it.

"Geez woman calm down my eardrums will tear down!" I could imagine him glaring me.

"You called Rose and didn't have time to fucking tell me? Some best friend you are!" I scoffed.

"I'll get to that once I finish. So I talked to Rose and I asked her why is Kate like this. Rose said Kate had a crush on someone else but things went south and then I came along and she is confused. She advised me to leave Kate and move on and that kate is not the one for me." He said out the last part almost in a whisper.

"For the first time and I think for the last time I am gonna agree with your ex. I hate whatever she did but her advice was gold." I said flatly as a matter of fact.

"Yeah, so I called Kate and told her that I know everything about the other guy so she clarified that she didn't have anything for him but she isn't ready for a relationship and that she likes me more than a best friend but less than a boyfriend. I am not sure what both last statements meant but I decided not to ask." He said in an angry tone.

"Leave that to her and apparently she friend-zoned you!" I chuckled.

"Yeah I guess so, it sounded like a math equation which is too hard to crack!" He chuckled too.

"And to answer you, I wanted to tell you so many times but James was everywhere. Every fucking where." He growled.

"So you couldn't pull me out for a chat?" I huffed.

"Sorry Cherry!" He sincerely said.

"Yeah nevermind." I said neutrally.

"And Zack?"

"Yes?"

"It's hard to turn the page and end the chapter when you know that the person you want the most will not be there. But the story must go on!" I breathe heavily on the phone.

"Yeah, I guess so. But it's late so we should sleep. Good night Sarah!"

"Good night!" I heard a ding which meant the call has been disconnected.

I Rub my eyes and let sleep take over me when I laid down but Zack had other ideas he called me back.

"What ?" I say lazily.

"It's just 3 minutes and you slept?" He asked half cracking up.

"Yes, I sleep like a baby in seconds." I retorted.

"Baby's don't sleep soon!" He laughed.

"Ugh."

"Okay. So my father is coming back from California and directly heading to Brooklyn for a meeting and he has left his file here so be ready at 11 am tomorrow, I'll pick you up and we gonna go together!" He said real quick.

"What do I get?" I asked yawning.

"Good yummy food?"

"Uhhumm and?" I asked.

"Icecream?" He asked.

"Okay. Now good night!" I said and I heard a faint good night Cherry before I drifted off to sleep.
