When I got home, I was literally dragging myself to the kitchen, I had no energy whatsoever. I walked and slumped down on the kitchen stool where my mother was already cooking something delicious.

"Oh, you're just on time I was just going to  stick up a note for you that I'm leaving." My mother served me food while saying all of it.

"So early?" I asked it was just 3:30 pm.

"Oh yeah I'm meeting up a client before and then Cheryl will come over by 5." She said while cleaning all the kitchen.

"Alright, mom." I said with my mouth full.

"How was your day in school sweetie?"

"It was fine mom, there are jocks who are assholes. They were picking up on a poor freshman for their chores." I spoke while she sat in front of me.

"Oh, that must be sad." Yes, my mother and I gossip about school a lot.

"No, it wasn't. Zack was going to save the kid but James beat him to it!" I told her smiling!

"Oh is he our neighbour, Foster?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Yes, mom he is the one!" I confirmed.

"Oh and tell Zack I haven't seen him in a while. Tell him to come to visit sometime!" She winked.

"Oh, whats with the winking?" I asked, washing my dish.

"Oh, nothing to worry about. Now I must go. Be good and take care of Cheryl. I love you, I might be late so don't wait to go to bed!" She said in a very authoritative voice.

"Yes, m' lady! I love you too mom. Anything else I have to take care of?" I snickered.

"No that would be all!" She laughed and went out of the door after kissing my cheek!

I sprawled on my bed relaxing for a bit and then changed to my comfy clothes that mainly consisted of a grey oversized top and blue shorts.

Before I could realise it was already 5 pm and my doorbell rang just on time.

"Hey Cheryl, hello Mel. It's so good to see you!" I hugged her.

"Be good to Sarah!" Mel said to her 6-year-old daughter. Cheryl was beyond cute and her energy is just amazing. She is someone who can be called as an energetic ball.

She giggled at her mom's instruction.

"Okay, mommy." She nodded her head letting her bouncy short hair fall on the side of the face.

"I love you! Bye sweetheart!" Mel waved her after kissing her on the cheek and hugging me again.

"Bye mommmyyy. Bye Mel!" We both sat simultaneously and waved at her till she was out of sight.

"Hey sweetheart, are you hungry?" I scooted down to her level eyeing her innocence after I closed the door.

"Can I get a strawberry milkshake with sprinkles?" She said swaying left to right.

"Can I get one too?" Zack showed up opening the door like it's his own home.

I turned around amused.

"Of course, make yourself at home!" I stick out my tongue at him only for him to do that to me and that caused Cheryl to giggle.

"Of course, honey! C'mon over I told her to follow.

"Sarah piggyback please!" Her puppy face was all it took for the piggyback ride. So she clutched onto my shoulders as her dear life depended on it.

Cute.

"Hey, I want one too?" Zack huffed. I know he was just joking.

"No." As soon as I said no Zack clung to my leg as his life depended on it.

It was incredibly hard to drag Zack but somehow I managed to do it and I settled Cheryl down on the kitchen stool while I made her and Zack a milkshake.

"So what do you want to do Cheryl?" I ask her after she drank her milkshake.

"Can we watch some Disney movies?" She asked innocently and Zack immediately responded by sticking his tongue out at me.

"Of course we can. There is Mac and cheese for dinner. Do you like it, baby girl?" I asked connecting Netflix on the TV.

"Yes. I like pasta." She jumped excitedly about having pasta. Good thing otherwise I would have to think about something else. I chuckled at her energy level quite excited about the Disney movies.

"Oh, I love pasta too!" Zack grinned.

"Good then. Let's start the movie, tell me when you are hungry. Okay?" I tell her.

"Okay!" She nodded.

"I'm hungry!" Zack decided to say the exact moment I started The beauty and the beast. Both I and Cheryl turned to look him and Cheryl burst out giggling because of the lopsided grin that he had. Wow, whoever said only I eat a lot doesn't know how much he eats. I shrugged and pointed towards the kitchen's direction and went back to see the movie.

I heart Disney movie but to a certain level.

"Fine." He huffed and stomped like a baby.

I could feel the occasional whiff of some damn good soup. Moments later I could hear the shuffling of the footsteps I know its Zack because the smell of soup was now very strong. He made 2 cups of soup [A/N: cup or bowl of soup whatever you like] and he ended up feeding me the soup since I was too lazy to have it myself. He chuckled at how childish I was being at the moment, however among my and Zack's constant bickering Cheryl managed to plop her face in her palms for the support and watched with the utmost attention.

I and Zack both bicker around a while and amidst that, I hear my door unlock and asked Zack If he heard or it was just me imagining.

"You duffer I locked the main door, whoever it is will have to ring!" He ruffled my hair and I scowl at him. Just later the doorbell rang but Zack told me he will get it but I followed closely behind but not before telling Cheryl to stay tight and continue watching.

I walked behind but I stopped near the stairs not hiding but it was not likely that Zack would see me. Zack opened the door not expecting James Foster to be on the other side. I gasped inaudibly.

"Hey man, you here?" James asked Zack.

"Oh, I am just babysitting 2 babies!" Zack replied holding the soup in front of him.

Oh, what? He was babysitting me? Wtf? Liar liar pants on fire. I scoffed.

"Oh! So is Sarah in here?" James asked.

Aw, he literally came to me even when I rejected him. He was kinda scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh yes, of course. I was just feeding her the soup." Zack slipped that intentionally I know.

I know my best friend.

I rolled my eyes at him even though he couldn't see me. I know he was feeding me but I wasn't a baby I was just being lazy also what are best friends for. The expression quickly changes on James face from a smile to a deep frown.

"Oh okay!" Was all he said.

"Oh, c'mon in and lock it properly!" Zack said pointing the door.

"Oh I think, I'll go back home." He turned around and left. There was a neutral expression and his voice came out really harsh. I couldn't comprehend what his expression wanted to convey but I made to the couch quietly I didn't want Zack to feel that I was spying.

But you were, my brain retorted.

Shut the fuck up bitch! I said to myself.

And then ignored all the thoughts I had about why James left and decided to let Zack tell me everything. By now Cheryl was hungry and we had almost finished more than half of the movie. Zack walked in giving a charming smile to Cheryl for which she giggled, of course, his smile was charming and I couldn't blame Cheryl for blushing and giggling after all Zack did make every girl blush with his charming smile.

That damned smile.

*Drum rolls*.
