Two men in love by the irrepressibles

Vote and comment for a dedication.

"Jungkook can you please open the door?"

Jungkook glared at the door. He was not in the mood to talk to anyone, especially him. He couldn't believe how he let himself hope for something that clearly wasn't true.

It all made sense to him.

Right from the start, why Jimin was embarrassed when they accidentally kissed. Of course it was because he had kissed someone else in front of the person he actually liked.

It's my fault anyway.

He shouldn't have liked it when they kissed. He shouldn't have liked it when Jimin smiled at him like that. He shouldn't have cuddled with Jimin these couple of times.

But certainly, he shouldn't have fallen for Jimin.

He still didn't know how that even happened, but it did anyway. He may have just realised it, but that didn't mean he didn't feel it for a long time. For how long? He still didn't know.

Doesn't even matter now. Jimin likes someone else.

Jungkook admits, he's being a little childish. Locking himself up in his room won't change anything.

It won't change the fact that Jimin doesn't like him back, but he just wanted to be alone.

With no energy left in him he tuned the lights off, a clear sign to anyone behind the door that he's going to sleep, but he didn't. Reaching for his phone he connected it to his earphones and played some music, closing his eyes, he continued to overthink, not noticing the door knob jiggling a few hours later.

Jin saw it all happen.

Jimin walking through the door with his arms around Yoongi.

Jimin likes Yoongi?!

He was so sure Jimin liked Jungkook. It didn't make sense to him.

Just as Jin was trying to wrap his head around that new fact, Jungkook walked past him, mumbling about how he's going to sleep.

Of course Jungkook saw what he saw and came to the same conclusion. It didn't look like he was jealous though. He looked...sad.

Looking at the trio still standing by the door, he noticed Jimin looking at Jungkook's retreating figure, his arms not around Yoongi anymore.

Not thinking much, Jin went after Jungkook. But he wasn't fast enough. The younger had already went inside and locked the door behind him.

"Jungkook can you please open the door?" He had to comfort the younger, they had just talked about Jungkook's feelings, him just realising he liked Jimin, and now this happens?

Jin felt guilty, he couldn't help but feel as if he gave Jungkook false hope. If he hadn't helped Jungkook realise his feelings then this wouldn't have happened.

It's my fault, I'm sorry Jungkook-ah.

The older waited for a few minutes at the door, sighing when he saw the lights being turned off, he understood how Jungkook didn't want to talk, so he walked to his own room, deciding to talk to him in the morning.

"Well, that clearly didn't work." Taehyung stated, disappointed that nothing was going to happen tonight. "I don't think Jungkook even noticed, looks like he's too sleepy."

"Yeah." Jimin sighed, still looking toward the hallway, hoping Jungkook would just come out of the room, he didn't hang out with him that much, and okay maybe he was hoping they would go to sleep cuddled up together.

"I'm going to bed. Goodnight." And there goes Yoongi, leaving Taehyung and Jimin to their thoughts.

"Tae, I have a bad feeling about this." He couldn't help but say it, he was a worrier. He still preferred confessing over all of this drama, cause what if Jungkook liked him like that? Wouldn't he be hurt from seeing Jimin with someone else?

Jimin was spot on. If only he followed his intuition every time.

"I don't think you have anything to worry about. It's not like you're dating someone else now, it's just innocent flirting, nothing more." Taehyung shrugged, tired from the long day they had, and he also couldn't find any logic to Jimin's worries. "Don't think too much just go to sleep." He patted the older on the shoulder and went to his room.

That was the complete opposite of what Jimin did that night.

Now that he thinks about it, ever since that kiss his sleep schedule got all messed up, he had a lot of sleepless nights, of him just thinking things over and going through the what ifs.

He was glad that they had the day off tomorrow. That way he might just get a few hours of sleep.

But he didn't.

When Jimin had had enough of trying to sleep and failing he left his room, going to Jungkook's room to hang out with him if he was awake or just to lay down next to him if he was already asleep.

Once he reached his room he didn't even knock, twisting the door knob he found the door locked.

Huh? That's weird. Jungkook never locks the door.

"Jungkook?" The blonde knocked, thinking Jungkook might be changing his clothes or something and that's why he locked the door, he waited for a few minutes not even hearing any commotion inside.

Is he asleep?

Not wanting to bother him, Jimin went back to his room with a pout on his face, disappointed he wasn't getting any cuddles tonight.

He laid down in his bed, eventually falling asleep at the crack of dawn.

Three members woke up the next day with a heavy heart. The oldest felt guilty, the blonde was troubled, and the youngest felt lost.

Still with their heavy heart they dragged themselves to the kitchen.

Jin walked into the kitchen to see Jungkook standing in front of the fridge drinking water. "Jungkook-ah." He almost whispered, too scared the younger was mad at him. Jin thought Jungkook had every right to.

Jungkook turned to Jin at the sound of his voice, putting the bottle back in the fridge. "Hyung." He stood still not knowing what to say.

"I'm sorry Jungkook-ah." Jungkook's heart crumbled at that, his throat closing up all of a sudden, even though he was just drinking water. He closed the fridge and walked the few steps to Jin wrapping his arms around him.

"What are you sorry about hyung? I'm the one who should say sorry. I was being childish yesterday. I'm sorry." His voice broke at the end, the raven finally broke down crying after he had held himself together all night.

"I'm sorry I gave you false hope Jungkook-ah. I shouldn't have." Jin wrapped his arms around Jungkook in return, rubbing his back to comfort the crying boy.

They stood there for a while, Jungkook letting himself break right there in the kitchen, Jin trying to calm him down before anyone walks in. "Hyung, I feel so s- stupid, why did I realise my feelings for him? I- I was j- just fine being in denial." Jin's heart broke at Jungkook's state, he wasn't able to do anything except murmur a few useless words hoping they would comfort him, when Jungkook calmed down a little Jin pulled back taking a look at Jungkook's face.

Jin reached for the hood of Jungkook's sweatshirt pulling it over the younger's head to try and hide his red eyes and wet face, Jungkook smiled a little at that and pulled Jin for another hug.

"Please don't feel guilty hyung. If you hadn't helped me I would have found out on my own anyways, but I'm happy you did, at least I have a shoulder to cry on now." He laughed a little, but he wasn't lying.

He was glad he had Jin to comfort him.

Jimin dragged himself to the kitchen, too tired to fully open his eyes.

When he reached the kitchen doorway he stopped at the sight, now wide awake.

Jin and Jungkook were hugging in the middle of the kitchen, both of them had smiles on their faces.

What a great start to the day.

Slightly grumpy, he walked to the fridge with loud footsteps just to make his presence known so they could stop their cuddling session.

The kitchen was filled with tension, too many emotions in too little space.

Jealousy, sadness, and resentment. Each one of them didn't know how to act, so Jin being the oldest decided to break the silence. "Morning Jimin." But Jimin had his eyes on Jungkook, waiting for him to greet him like he usually did, but Jungkook wasn't even looking at him. It was like he was trying to hide his face.

Jimin sighed. "Morning Jin hyung." He turned to Jin, not having the energy to be chipper this morning, or even the whole day.

Jungkook decided to lay his head on the kitchen isle, and wait for breakfast. Too tired to talk to anyone.

Jin sat beside Jungkook, Jimin taking notice of Jin's hand on Jungkook's back.

It's going to be a long day.

Yoongi was the next one to walk into the kitchen, even though he was usually tired and grumpy in the mornings he had to carry on with the plan, so he went to Jimin putting his arm around his shoulders leaning on him with his body weight and mumbling a "Good morning guys."

That made Jin tighten his hold on Jungkook, praying he wouldn't lift his head up, or he's gonna get his heart broken.

If it wasn't already.

Jungkook refused to look up. He somehow knew he wouldn't like the sight if he did.

Jimin didn't like this.

He still had a bad feeling about this plan, so he removed Yoongi's arm and went to sit next to Jungkook, trying to get a glimpse of the younger's face. He put his hand on Jungkook's covered head. "Jungkookie, are you okay?" A loud hum was all he got in return.

"He's just a little sleepy Jimin, don't mind him." Jin explained, not wanting Jimin to think Jungkook was ignoring him, even though he was.

Jimin retracted his hand. Jin didn't know he accidentally made it worse, because that made Jimin confused.

But Jungkook went to sleep early.

Was he awake?

Was Jungkook ignoring me?

A few days have passed by. Jungkook was still ignoring Jimin, thinking that it was better this way. Because Jimin liked Yoongi, so he should keep his distance right?

Jimin couldn't figure out what went wrong between him and Jungkook. He tried to talk to the younger a few times to try and figure out what was wrong, but every time Jungkook would just busy himself with something so he wouldn't talk to Jimin for a long time.

Locking his door has become a habit now.

Every night, when his day ends he would go to his room, and lock the door behind him. He even stopped hanging out in the living room and kitchen.

And every night, Jimin would go to Jungkook's room, try to open the door only to find it locked, and go to his room to sleep.

Not knowing Jungkook saw the door knob every night, maybe it was wishful thinking, but he hoped it was Jimin.

One of those times Jungkook was standing by the door, waiting for the person to turn the door knob so he could open the door and see who it was.

Maybe Hoseok was pulling a prank on him.

When Jimin tried to open the door and found it locked again he sighed. Jungkook was just about to unlock it when he heard the person speaking for the first time. The voice was so quiet he probably wouldn't have heard it if he wasn't so close to the door. "Kookie? Are you sleeping already? I miss you so much. I don't know what I did wrong. Can you please tell me so I can make it better?" Jimin sounded sad, and he heard him sit down on the floor leaning his back on the door, so he mirrored his action. "Is it because we didn't invite you that one time? If that's the case then I'm sorry I promise we won't do that again." Jimin went silent for a little while, but Jungkook didn't hear him get up, instead he heard quiet sobs. "You probably can't hear me. I don't know what I'm doing. This is stupid." He wiped his tears infuriatedly.

Jimin got up from his sitting position, he was about to walk to his room when he heard the door being unlocked and the next thing he knew, someone wrapped his arms around him from behind. "I missed you too, Jimin-ssi." He froze in his place, not believing what was happening.

Did he hear all of that?

"Jiminie?" Jungkook turned Jimin around, with his arms still around him, pulling him close he held his cheek gently caressing it with his thumb.

Jimin teared up again, so he buried his head in Jungkook's chest. "Please don't ignore me again. I can't live with you ignoring me, whatever I did I'm sorry." Jungkook just pulled Jimin into his room locking the door again behind him.

"Jimin." Jungkook had to hold Jimin's face with both hands to make him look at him. "You didn't do anything wrong, it's all my fault. I'm the one who should be sorry not you, so please stop crying. I can't stand the fact that I just made you cry." Jimin just nodded too tired to say anything else, he was just glad Jungkook opened the door. "Are you okay now?" Jimin nodded again. "Please say something." Jungkook pleaded still holding eye contact with Jimin.

"Then why did you do it? Ignore me I mean." Now Jungkook was the one who didn't reply. If he was being honest he didn't even know what to tell him. Should he say the truth? Or should he lie?

"I'm sorry hyung, I was going through something, and I had to clear my head a little, I'm sorry." So he chose something in between.

"So, are we okay now?" Jimin asked hopefully, finally letting out that smile Jungkook fell in love with.

That smile might just be Jungkook's Kryptonite, and no it didn't exactly kill him, but it certainly turned him to mush. He just had to kiss Jimin's cheek.

Jimin likes someone else.

Jungkook suddenly pulled away. "Sorry hyung. Uhh I didn't mean to do that. I'm sorry." He couldn't look at Jimin now. How could he forget that Jimin was someone else's now, and here he was thinking about going to sleep with him.

"Jungkookie, why are you saying sorry?" Jimin was a little confused.

Maybe Jungkook was shy?

"Don't be shy jungkookie, I do that to you all the time. It's only fair you do it in return hmm?" The older reached for Jungkook's shirt pulling at it like a little kid, in a way to make Jungkook pay attention to him. When Jungkook nodded Jimin smiled again. "You didn't answer me; are we okay now?" He got another nod. "Okay I'm sleepy I feel like I'm gonna sleep for two days straight." He jumped on Jungkook's bed going under the covers.

"You're sleeping here tonight?" Jungkook's throat went dry.

Shouldn't Yoongi be the one who slept next to Jimin?

When Jimin nodded Jungkook went to join him hesitantly, keeping some space between them.

Jimin frowned, scooting over so there was no space between them. It was when he put his arm over Jungkook's waist and rested his head on his chest that Jungkook spoke up, still a little confused. "Jimin hyung are you sure about this?" Jungkook's body was tense, unable to relax.

Yoongi hyung wouldn't like this.

"Why wouldn't I be, silly?" Jimin looked up at him raising his eyebrows.

"I mean, Yoongi hyung.." Jungkook trailed off not knowing how to approach this, Jimin hadn't exactly said it to his face.

"What about Yoongi hyung?" Jimin let out a yawn, closing his eyes. He felt safe and warm in Jungkook's embrace, quickly falling asleep. He didn't even hear what Jungkook said after that.

"Isn't he your boyfriend?"

Looking down, Jungkook found Jimin fast asleep. He sighed, deciding to just go with the flow, so he relaxed a little and cuddled Jimin close.

And the two members fell asleep where they belonged.

In each others arms.
