The Deadly Assassin Robin
Chapter 1138 Mr Ramsey, Maurice Requests to See You +8 Pearls In front of the Sogas Hotel, Robin had just stepped out of the car as he grabbed Shania by the neck when they ran into Vera.
âRobin, what are you doing?â Vera asked, her eyes full of suspicion as she looked at Robin gripping Shania.
âMs. Coyle, whatâs going on?â She asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.
âMmmm.â Shania struggled to speak, but her hands were bound by Rita, and her mouth gagged with a wet wipe. All she could do was flail her legs and make muffled noises.
Vera grabbed Robinâs arm and asked, âWhatâs happening? Can you at least remove the wet wipe from her mouth?â
âDo you know each other?â Robin loosened his grip on Shania and pulled the cloth out of her mouth. Vera nodded. âYes. Iâm negotiating with Nine Stars about a partnership on medical equipment.â âAre you seriously considering partnering with such a dishonest, unscrupulous company?
Shania gasped for air, clutching her chest and dry heaving. âHow could you do that to me? Treat me?
âHow should I treat you? Should I carry you around respectfully?â with indifference in his eyes. âYou should be thankful youâre still alive.
âTake her back to the room!â
As he turned, a woman stumbled into his arms in panic.
âAlice?â Vera shifted her focus from the conversation with Shania.
Alice stood there, pale and panicked, staring at Robin and Vera.
It was clear that Alice was extremely nervous, her whole body shaking.
After a moment of panic, Alice quickly lowered her head and rushed toward the hotelâs exit.
Vera watched as Alice, accompanied by another woman, flagged down a taxi. She stood frozen for a long time.
âRobin, do you know? Alice hasnât been doing well lately.â
Robin pressed the elevator button without emotion. âI have nothing to do with her now. I donât want to know about her situation.â
Vera hesitated for a moment before speaking carefully, âI heard from some executives at Harmonfield that Alice may not be in good health. I havenât had much contact with her lately, though. I was traveling to sort out company matters.
âBefore I came to Elaria, I visited Harmonfield headquarters. Some executives there told me Alice had resigned from the Harmonfield Hotel, possibly due to health reasons.â
Robin sighed and took out a bottle of Caffepan from his pocket, handing it to Vera.
insey, Maurice Requests to See You âItâs something that fell from Alice this morning. Do you think her illness is related to this drug?â
âIs Alice using Caffepan?â Veraâs eyes widened in shock. âHas Alice been diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia?â
+8 Pearls âIâm not sure,â Robin replied, shaking his head. âShe probably came to Elaria to buy this medication.â
Vera furrowed her brow and asked, âBut as far as I know, Caffepan is costly here. Why would she need to buy it here when she can get it domestically?â
Robin pointed at the bottle in her hand. âThatâs not the real thing. Itâs a counterfeit by Criele.
âCrieleâs Caffepan was temporarily discontinued after a complaint from Draconiaâs distributor. They canât sell it directly anymore.
âThe stock was then handed over to Elariaâs dealers for private sales. These Caffepan tablets, which usually cost over 20,000 dollars in the market, can be bought in bulk for just 500 dollars.â
Shania, momentarily forgetting her captive state, commented, âCan it really be safe to take something that cheap? It must be fake, right?
âIf it were me, Iâd never buy such cheap counterfeit drugs.â
Robin scoffed. âOf course, someone like you, born into nobility, wouldnât understand the struggles of ordinary people.
âWho can afford over 200,000 dollars for medical costs annually? What kind of family has that kind of money?
âYouâre generous with yourself, but what about the 100 billion you promised me?â
Shania immediately realized her situation and fell silent.
Vera thought back to Aliceâs pale face and frightened eyes, a wave of sadness washing over her.
In just a year, who could have predicted Aliceâs current state?
If only the Millers had shown some gratitude ⦠If they hadnât been ones who believed money talk wouldnât have faced such humiliation in the end.
Alice could have been so much happier now.
Life isnât determined solely by hard work.
Itâs the choices we make, the decisions we face, that shape our destiny.
Vera glanced at Robinâs cold face, feeling a mix of emotions.
ney S After a brief moment of sorrow, she turned back to Shania. âMs. Coyle, what exactly happened between you and Robin?â
Rita snorted coldly, âThis woman dared to deceive Mr. Ramsey! If not for certain reasons, Mr. Ramsey would have already killed her!â
âShania deceived Robin?â Veraâs expression froze, turning icy.
100%
Chapter 1138 Mr Ramsey, Maurice Requests to See You âYes!â Rita shot a cold glance at Shania, who was bowing her head.
+8 Pearls âMr. Ramsey saved her grandfatherâs life back in Qacalisle Island. She promised to help build a 100 billion dollar medical system for the island.
âBut after the tenâday deadline passed, she denied everything and refused to honor her promise.
âShe even had the audacity to demand Mr. Ramsey produce a written contract, or she would accuse him of extortion. Unbelievable!
âI donât know how she got promoted to her position.â
âAre all these big corporations in Elaria this dishonest, breaking promises and lacking integrity?â
Vera was shocked. âMs. Coyle, did you really do this?
Shania, not backing down, replied, âYes, I did promise the money for Qacalisle Island.
âBut I think that was extortion, taking advantage of my vulnerable situation! I wonât honor it!
âHe saved my grandfatherâs life, and now he wants us to come up with 100 billion to help him set up a HealNet system on the island. Thatâs blackmail!â
Robin let out a cold laugh. âThen prepare to die alongside your grandfather!â
Vera shuddered in fear.
She dared not say anything.
Vera knew that whatever decisions Robin made, few could change them.
She glanced at Shania and shook her head.
Shania might still not know who Robin truly was.
Nine Stars was nothing compared to this man.
100 billion dollars was nothing to Robin.
How dare Shania challenge someone like him? It was like signing her death warrant.
The elevator reached the top floor.
Robin tossed Shania onto the presidential suiteâs large bed.
âMr. Ramsey, Maurice requests to see you,â Rita said, stepping forward to report.
Robin glanced at the time and instructed, âTell him to wait for me in the lounge.â
In the presidential suiteâs lounge, Maurice and a man in his forties bowed before Robin.
âMr. Ramsey, please have mercy on Ms. Shania. I have urgent matters to report to you!â
