Chapter Seventy-Seven
Let's Not Fall In Love(我们不要坠入爱河)
I didn't say anything to what that guy had just called me and instead I just looked at Ba Wei. He was still unreadable, but something about him was different. He seemed a little tense and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that.
"Hey," the guy called pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked over at him without uttering a word. "Did you not hear me?"
I raised an eyebrow and cleared my throat. In all honesty I didn't want to respond to him. In fact if I knew Ba Weis surprise was in human form I would've just went home. How annoying.
"Yeah, don't call me a princess though."
The guy burst into laughter, "it's not a insult believe me." He walked towards me and extended his hand, "I'm Jun Li but you can call me JunJun or anything else if you like."
I grabbed his hand and gave it a firm shake, "Ji Nan." I let go of his hand after saying that and within a second his eyes went to Ba Wei.
"So this is what you called me all the way here for?"
"Yeah," Ba Wei said as he scratched the back of his head.
"Well I'm glad you're finally introducing some of your school friends to me. I honestly didn't think you had any."
"Oh shut the fuck up."
I listened and watched as Ba Weis tough exterior began to crack as he turned into the playful person I was use to seeing. I didn't like it. I didn't like that he was showing this person this soft side of him. It was only supposed to be for me. He's mine.
"Is this the surprise," I asked drawing both of the men in the room attention?
"Yeah," Ba Wei said as our eyes met. He seemed. He raised an eyebrow at me before asking, "what's wrong?"
I shifted my eyes, "I'm just tired. You could've introduced us at a earlier ti-"
"Are you usually this whiny," Jun Li asked cutting me off.
My eyes shot to his. "Excuse me?"
"I'm pretty sure you heard me."
I narrowed my eyes at him, "I'm not whining so I don't know what you mean."
"Jun Li," Ba Wei said.
"Are you usually this bad of a liar?"
I looked over Ba Wei to see that his hard exterior had returned and he was looking quite aggressively at Jun Li. I would say that he looked like he wanted to eat him alive, but that may just be me projecting.
"I never lied," I responded coldly. I turned my eyes to Ba Wei. "I'm going home."
"Huh," he asked quickly?
I didn't give him an answer before I turned around and left the apartment. I don't know who the guy was or what his relationship with Ba Wei was but I had no interest in throwing insults with him. He had to be someone close to Ba Wei and as I descended the stairs I couldn't help but curse myself.
Was I wrong to want to go home. It's not my fault that I'm not a people person, and I even introduced myself. Other than that, what was that guys reaction to me wanting to go home. It wasn't a lie that I was tired, so what was he even on about. So fucking annoying.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by someone yelling my name. I stopped walking and looked back to see that it was Ba Wei. I let out a sigh before fully Turing around towards him.
"What," I asked as he came to a stop in front of me?
"Why are you suddenly leaving?" I couldn't help but stare at him. Was he really this oblivious to see that his friend didn't seem to like me or at least that's what I thought. He was annoying and so was everything about that surprise.
"You really need to ask that? I told you I'm tired."
"I know but I really want you to stay a bit longer."
"Why? That guy doesn't seem to want me there."
Ba Wei sighed, "look how he was acting is just his personality okay. So come back and-"
"I don't want to," I said cutting him off. It wasn't even mostly because of that guy. It was because of the smell of smoke, the atmosphere and the overall vibe coming from inside the apartment. Plus I had no intention in watching Ba Wei smile at someone other than me all night. Wait...that sounded weird.
"Ji Nan, please."
I raised an eyebrow at him upon hearing the word. It was the first time hearing him use it and it was almost cute coming from his lips. As I stared at him I couldn't help but want to kiss him. So I did. When our lips met it was like electricity went throughout my body and even though I didn't want to pull back I did.
When I looked up a Ba Wei a smile spread across his face. I couldn't help but smile in return. So cute.
"One hour," I said sternly.
"Two," he asked rather coldly all the while with that smile still on his face.
"An hour and a half. That's my final offer."
"Fine," he said laughing.

When we walked back in the apartment Jun Li was sitting on the couch smoking a cigarette. I wanted to badly to turn and walk out the door again but I had already told Ba Wei I would stay. When the door shut behind us Jun Li looked over at us.
"Oh so you got him to come back," he said as he put his cigarette out.
I dropped my bag by the door and walked over to one of the chairs and took a seat. I had expected Ba Wei to say something but he didn't. He just took a seat beside him. This made the air in the room rather awkward and even though my eyes were on the floor I could feel two sets of eyes on me.
I sighed and looked up, " are you just gonna stare at me or are you going to actually say something?" Ba Wei let out a chuckle and Jun Li raised an eyebrow.
"He's not anything how you described him," Jun Li said suddenly without taking his eyes off me.
"Is he not? I think I described him well."
"You definitely didn't. The person you described is no where near the person in front of me."
I sat there baffled as they discussed how I didn't fit up to the description Ba Wei had given. It was a rather heated argument between them and it made me wonder what exactly Ba Wei said.
"What did he say?"
"Huh," they asked in unison?
"How did he describe me?"
Jun Li scratched the back of his head and glanced at Ba Wei. Was he asking permission to tell me? If that was what he just did I knew what kind of relationship these two had. Business. Even though they were obviously friends. If he had asked him permission for such a harmless question he definitely was under him when It came to work.
"Well, he said you were cute, but you're not acting like it at all."
I raised an eyebrow at the low insult, "is that it?"
"Well he also said you have a rather hot and cold attitude and I have to say that he was spot on with that observation." I couldn't help the chuckle that came from my lips.
"Thanks I guess. So you're surprised that I'm not acting cute?"
He was silent for a moment, "no, I'm more surprised that you're a guy to be honest."
When I heard that statement leave his mouth I was confused and I knew he could see it. I glanced over at Ba Wei too see that same cold exterior. He didn't seem bothered by it and looking at his eyes I would say it almost amused him.
"Why," I asked curiously?
"Well, he never referred to you by name and he always referred to you as his so I just assumed."
I could feel my face heat up as I registered what he said. I covered my face with my hands and I heard an all too familiar chuckle hit my ears. He was truly amused by my embarrassment. What a dick.
As I sat there I wanted to go home even more than I did before. I wanted to go hide somewhere for a few days so I could recover. He said I was his. What does that mean? I didn't know the answer but knowing that he said I was his made me happy. It made that feeling from before come back. Butterflies. I felt butterflies.
