Chapter Seventy-Five
Let's Not Fall In Love(我们不要坠入爱河)
I fell asleep. I don't know exactly when I dozed off but when I opened my eyes it was a teacher at the podium. I looked down at my watch and sighed. I slept through lunch break. That's great.
I rubbed my eyes and looked around. As I glanced across the room quickly I couldn't help but stop at Yalings empty desk. I didn't stare for long nor did I ponder on what was wrong with her too long. I simply didn't care if I'm being completely honest. It was any of my business nor none of my concern even though I know she wanted it to be.
I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to my desk and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow after seeing what was on the edge of it. It was a small bag on the edge with a small piece of paper underneath it. What's this?
I reached out and grabbed the bottle and as I read the label I couldn't help but be a bit surprised. It was pain medicine. I pushed my hair out of face and grabbed the paper that was underneath it. I couldn't help but want to laugh as I read it.
I brought you medicine. Also you look cute when you're sleeping.
When I saw the word cute I thought I would at least feel a bit of anger but I didn't. Instead it was replaced by a weird feeling. I pushed the thoughts out of my head and crumbed the paper and pulled out my phone. I glanced up at the teacher and made sure she wasn't looking before sending a quick message to Ba Wei.
Me: thanks
I stuffed my phone back in my pocket and turned my attention to the actual lesson. I didn't know how much I missed but I knew it had to be a bit less than half of it. I picked up my pencil and quickly wrote down a reminder for me to read over the chapter we were on in the textbook. I was about to start taking notes when my phone vibrated. I quickly pulled it out and glanced down at it.
Ba Wei: it's no problem.
I wanted to send a reply but I need to take notes, and that would take time away from that. I'll just text him back after school. We have to do the tutoring session anyway. Speaking of the tutoring session we'll have to go heavy today since we got nothing done the day before. As I thought about the events of yesterday I couldn't help but blush.
Thinking about it, I still didn't know what had Ba Wei so upset. I knew got into an altercation but he still hadn't told me about it. Maybe I can ask? No, if I did it would be weird. It's not like he needs to tell me. Plus, why am I even worried? He's a delinquent, he should be able to handle himself. Shouldn't he.

When the end of the day came I was surprisingly way more energetic than before. Other than my hands hurting from the excessive amount of writing I would say that the rest of the day went by pretty good thankfully.
I started to pack of my things when I heard someone mention my name. I glanced up but I couldn't identify the source of the sound. I raised an eyebrow in confusion and continued to put my things away. After I was done I pulled out my phone and got up from my desk swinging my bag over my shoulder.
I opened my phone and pressed of Ba Weis number and made my way out of the classroom. As I started to make my way to room 205 the phone rung three or four times before he answered.
"Ah hey."
I raised an eyebrow, "hey. Are you at the tutoring room?"
"No, but I'm on my way there. Why?"
His voice was calm almost too calm. I wanted so bad to ask exactly what he was going but it isn't my place, and it isn't like he was going to tell me. He never tells me anything.
"No reason. I was just making sure-"
"Are you still feeling sick," he asked cutting me off?
"I was never feeling sick."
He was silent for a minute, "don't lie."
I sighed," I'm not. I wasn't feeling sick. I just had a headache."
"That's feeling sick."
I laughed slightly, "don't worry."
"I'm not."
Before I could say anything back the line went dead. I couldn't help but laugh. How childish. It's like I caught him doing something he shouldn't be doing. It was cute, a bit too cute.
I stuffed my phone into my pocket and sped up my walking until I made it to the room. When I walked inside I was surprised to see Ba Wei sitting at the table.
"You hung up on me."
His eyes snapped to mine, "trust me I know."
"Kind of a dick move," I said as I walked over and sat down.
"Is it? I didn't know." I pushed him slightly and that got a chuckle from him.
"You gotta stop being so cute."
I was about to say something snappy in return but my mouth wouldn't move. Instead my entire face decided to turn red. This only made Ba Wei even more amused and what he did next made my face even more hot.
He kissed me. It was brief but it still left my body feeling tingly. I could feel the fabric around my crotch start to get tighter. Really? It was just a small kiss.
"Let's get this over with. I got something to show you after."
I just nodded and pulled out my science and math books and I could've sworn I heard Ba Wei sigh. I turned my face towards him and indeed he looked very much against the subjects.
"If you want tutoring to go smoothly for the rest of the week it's best to go over these now."
He didn't say anything and just pulled out his books. I didn't waste any time on starting and quickly dived head first into the old formulas and the new formulas. Ba Wei seemed to be following pretty good, but when I asked him to use the formulas it seemed like he didn't know what to do with himself.
"Do you not understand."
"No, well somewhat. It's just I don't understand how exactly to use it on this form of problem. There's already a equation so why is the formula one too?"
I listened closely to what he was saying and slowly explained why and how to use the formula. I walked him through one problem and then another and soon he was doing it on his own. I watched closely at his work and when I was certain he got it I turned to my own work and started to complete it.
After about ten minutes I was finally done with all of the questions and when I glanced over at Ba Wei I noticed that his pen was sitting on the table.
"You finished all of them?"
He nodded, "Believe me I'm surprised too."
I grabbed his book and glanced over the science problems and looked down at my answers to see if they were all correct. They were. Every single one of them. A smile spread across my face and my eyes snapped toward him.
"They're correct."
I could hear the happiness in my voice as I said that sentence and judging from Ba Weis shocked expression he was too.
"If I knew finishing my homework would make you smile like that I'd do it more often."
I let out a slight laugh, and looked back down at the book. I pushed my hair behind my ear before closing it. When I looked back at Ba Wei I raised an eyebrow.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Looking at you like what?"
"Like that."
A smile spread across his lips, "like what?"
I narrowed my eyes at him and that only seemed to amuse him more. Even though he was smiling the look in his eyes never changed. It wasn't cold a stare but it definitely wasn't a warm one. It was a very intensely heated one; hot almost. I stared into his eye for a few more minutes before I cleared my throat.
"Let's get the math done and we can head home."
"Okay, but before that can you lean towards me."
"Huh? Why?"
"It's nothing, but just do it."
I glanced down at the table then back at him but still slowly started to lean over. I was about ask what I needed to this for when he leaned in too. Before I could recoil his lips were already on mine.
I pulled back almost immediately and looked at him with wide eyes. I thought there would be a smile on his face but their wasn't. His face was cold but his stare was still the same.
"Why-"
"I wanted too," he said cutting me off, "you were too cute not too." I watched as the smile on his face slowly turned into a smirk. It was almost creepy how I can't read his expressions. Even with a smile on his face I couldn't even guess what was going through his mind. "Let's get this done shall we."
I pushed my bangs out of face, and tried my best to hide my reddened face. I moved slightly in my seat trying to give relief to the hard member that was pressing against my zipper but it was no use. He knew exactly what he was doing there is no way that he couldn't. He had to.
I sighed, "yeah. You're right."
