Chapter One Hundred Thirty Four

Let's Not Fall In Love(我们不要坠入爱河)

"How much longer do we have to walk," I complained. "We've been walking for hours."

"Don't be dramatic. It's right up ahead."

I glanced up at him and let out a sigh. When I agreed to hang out with Jun Li I thought he would come to us but I guess not. We had started walking towards the other apartment that Ba Wei had but when we approached the building Ba Wei just walked past it.

Where was this guy. I was about to complain again but before I could Ba Wei stopped walking. I had had my eyes on the ground up until now so I didn't even realize that he had approached a rather creepy looking house. I mean it wasn't that it looked like it was abandoned or anything, it just gave off a bad vibe.

"Where-"

"Stay close to me okay," he said as he started walking to the door.

" Don't have to tell me twice."

I was expecting him to knock but he didn't, he just walked right in. I slid off my shoes and so did Ba Wei. To my surprise there were slippers that we could change into. I quickly slipped into them  and stayed close to Ba Wei as he walked further into the house.

"Xiao Wei!"

My head snapped in the direction of where the voice came and just like I had assumed it was Jun Li. He wore tight black jeans and a white tshirt. He looks much more normal than when I met him before.

"Sorry for not knocking," Ba Wei said as Jun Li pulled him into a hug,

"You know you're family. It's not an issue." I had hoped he wouldn't notice me but his eyes snapped to me as soon as he pulled out of the hug. "Ah you brought your prince with you. Give your gege a hug."

"Eh," was all I could get out before I was pulled into an embrace by Jun Li.

I looked over at Ba Wei asking, no beggin for help but all I got was a smirk from the guy. Dick. After what seemed too long he finally pulled away. I cleared my throat and he let out a small chuckle.

"I'm glad you guys came. There's a few guys here but don't pay them any mind."

He turned and started walking towards what I can only assume is the living room. Me and Ba Wei followed behind at a distance. I glanced over at him and like he sensed me looking his eyes met mine. I shifted my eyes as my cheeks began to turn a soft shade of pink.

Ba Wei let out a  laugh, "don't be so cute."

I was about to say something when a familiar voice hit my ears. Cheng De? No, it can't be. Why would he be hanging around Jun Li or better yet why was Jun Li hanging around him. As we got closer to a big door his voice became even more clear and as we walked inside and I scanned the room me and his eyes met mine. I let out a sigh and shifted them.

Without saying a word I got a bit closer to Ba Wei and to my surprise he put his hand on the small of my back. I glanced up at him to see his eyes on Cheng De. I had hoped he didn't know what he looked like but it was evident by the way he stared at him that he did. Thankfully he didn't stare for long and focused back on Jun Li but I can't say that Cheng De's attention is anywhere else. Please don't make a scene.

"So," Jun Li sat down on the couch, "how have my boys been?"

Ba Wei sat across from him so I did too. I sat rather close to him for the simple fact that Cheng De and the other guys he was with him sitting on the chairs behind Jun Li. If I didn't know any better I'd say that his little friends didn't even know who I was, but I highly doubt that.

"We've been good. School has been kicking my ass though."

Jun Li laughed, "I'm not surprised. You were always bad at schoolwork." He glanced between us before he asked a question that made me blush. "So Ji Nan, how's he in bed."

My entire face turned red even though I didn't want it too and Jun Li burst into laughter. I kept my eyes on the floor but I knew the guy that took so much from me was staring at me. It was almost angering that he would get to see my face in such a state of embarrassment.

"Li Ge don't tease him so much," Cheng De said out of no where. "You're making him embarrassed."

Initially where I heard his voice all the embarrassment left in an instant and all that was left was annoyance. I hated the guy that was true but the fact that he always had to make his presence known when we're in the same room made me hate him even more. I eyed him for a few seconds before I turned my attention back to Jun Li. He was staring at me and just like when I first met him the smile that he had on since we arrived had vanished. His stare was intense and very intimidating.

"Cheng De," he said clearing his throat, "do me a favor would you." He turned back towards the boy and Cheng De had a smile on his face. "Speak when you're spoken too."

The smile slowly faded from his face and he reluctantly nodded his head. I watched Jun Li closely and as soon as he turned back towards us that smile went right back to his face. I was truly baffled by the switch in personality. I looked over at Ba Wei to see that his face was cold. Usually when he's around the guy he would loosen up but right now he seemed more guarded than he had ever been.

I glanced him over and my eyes came too his hand and without a second thought I grabbed it. I intertwined our fingers and he seemed to relax a bit. I knew Ba Wei a bit too well. I knew that he was tense because that guy was here and so was I. I'm surprised he hadn't started a scene yet but what I'm thinking is that he's truly afraid of the guy sitting across from us.

"Aren't you guys so cute," he said with a laugh.

He looked behind him at the group of guys and waved a finger and they got up and began to leave. The entire time I could feel Cheng De's eyes on me as he left. Jun Li cleared his throat and got up. I didn't care where he was going but I was happy that he left the room.

"Ba Wei..."

"I'm fine," he said squeezing my hand. I knew he was lying and I was about to let it go when he spoke again. "Can't say that he is. Guy was giving me a death stare."

I couldn't hold back my laughter and Ba Wei seemed surprised I watched a small smile spread across his face. As I stared at that cute site I couldn't help but want to kiss him so I did. I leaned up and pressed my lips against his. As I pulled away Ba Wei licked my lips with the tip of his tongue. I was taken aback by the sudden action and was about to comment on it when Jun Li's voice boomed through the room.

"I left you alone for a minute and you're about to fuck on my couch." He walked in with a rather large bottle of alcohol, "you could at least ask me to join."

He actually sounded hurt and I let out a small chuckle. Upon hearing this sound from me Jun Li smiled rather large. He sat three glasses on the table and began pouring some drinks. I hadn't let go of Ba Weis hand and every time he would glance up he would look at our intertwined fingers.

"Say, was that a yes pretty boy?"

I let out a full laugh, "sadly you're not my type." Ba Wei chuckled and Jun Li clutched at his chest.

"That hurts you know."

He picked up two of the glasses and handed it to me and Ba Wei. We took them gladly and to my surprise Ba Wei took a big gulp of it. I took a small sip of mine and honestly wanted to spit it out. It wasn't that it taste bad it was that it was so strong. What the fuck were these two drinking.

"Listen," Jun Li said as he picked up his drink, "I'm a heavy drinker pretty boy."

I took a big gulp from my glass, "so am I old man."

"There's nothing old about me, but since you have faith in yourself let's have a friendly competition."

I raised an eyebrow at the invitation and a smile spread across my face, "this should be fun."

——

A few hours passed, at least that's what it felt like going shot for shot with Jun Li. I sat on the chair beside Ba Wei feeling a bit heavy. I would say it was a bad idea to drink such strong alcohol with a guy that was probably use to it but I wasn't a pussy by any means.

Even though I felt like I would throw up any time I still took the shots. Jun Li although more adapted to the liquor also was swaying a bit. Through this process I had learned a lot about the guy across from me. Like how he hates scary movies. In fact he hates them so much that he cries when watching them. I wasn't good at horror movies either but I would never cry. That gap in his personality was a bit funny.

"Xiao Wei why are you so quiet," Jun Li asked slurring?

"I'm just enjoying the show is all."

"Bullshit! Don't be acting all cool because he's here." Ba Wei didn't pay him any mind and that seemed to annoy Jun Li. "Have a shot."

"No, one of us has to be sober enough to get both of us home."

"Ah don't be a pussy," I blurted out.

Both of them seemed a bit surprised by my sudden outburst and even I was. In all honesty this was a reason I didn't get intoxicated around people. I don't know when to hold my tongue and it's a issue honestly.

"You heard the boy," was all Jun Li said before handing Ba Wei a shot. Without hesitation Ba Wei downed the drink and Jun Li yelled a woo.

The cycle began and all three of us began to take down shots but by the thirtieth round I could take anymore. I waved my hand in front of my face and Jun Li seemed to understand. He sat the bottle down and leaned back against the chair.

"I guess he wasn't lying when he said he was a heavy drinker. He lasted a while."

"En. I'm afraid you may have broken him for tonight."

"I'm not broken," I said slurring.

Both the guys burst into laughter. My cheeks were flushed, and my vision was blurry. In truth I don't even know what I was saying but I know it was about what they had said. I closed my eyes to try to stop the room from spinning. God I felt terrible.

"Is he usually this childish when drunk?"

"This is my first time seeing him this drunk. He's usually snappy when he gets somewhat drunk." I wanted to say something in retaliation but Jun Li spoke before I could.

"He's snappy sober though."

"You're not wrong, but that's what makes him interesting."

"Didn't think I'd ever see you interested in someone." Ba Wei didn't say anything and Jun Li sighed. "I'm glad."

"I am too." I felt a hand brush through my hair , "I want to protect him Jun Li, but I'm scared that I won't be able too soon."

"You know your father won't let anything happen to him."

"It's not the people from my past that I'm worried about. It's the people from his."

What the fuck does he mean? What does he mean people from my past. How much does he know about me? If he knows anything about the people in my past does that mean he knows about the body too.

"Ba...Wei."

I wanted to ask what he meant so bad but my intoxicated state made it nearly impossible. All I could do was call his name softly until I drifted off into unconsciousness.
