Chuling buried her face in her hands and started crying uncontrollably. She was so happy that her marrow cleansing had been successful because it meant that she could train and better protect her Miss now. Feng Tianlan didn’t know what to do with Chuling. Chuling cried very easily and was practically able to cry on demand. Even though she was so weak mentally, she’d managed to hold out for so long. She was already the strongest she could be.

Feng Tianlan asked the maidservants to prepare hot water baths for the two of them. She started thinking about how they should train and how to improve their given strengths.

Eunuch De was important to the emperor. She was only a good-for-nothing and could not afford to offend this eunuch.

Eunuch De threw a disdainful glance at Feng Xiang, then spoke, raising his voice, “Members of the Feng Clan need not bow to anybody.”
