Chapter 280 - Taking a Concubine

Feng Tianlan shook her head gently and pushed these memories from her mind. “Don’t do that again.”

She didn’t want to consider or think about anything else. Her primary goal was to advance in level as quickly as possible and seek revenge.

“Tianlan.”

“Miss.”

The moment she opened her room door, Luo Yunzhu and the rest came up to her with their eyes wide and looked at her expectantly. “Did you successfully advance in level?”

Feng Tianlan nodded.

There were cheers all around!

Feng Qingling wiped away the tears of excitement and noticed Azurite when he looked up again. His face was filled with suspicion as he remarked, “I guarded this place well.” He hadn’t seen anybody go in, so how could there be one more person in the room?

“This is Azurite. She will follow me from now on.” Feng Tianlan introduced Azurite without explaining where she’d come from.

“She’s so pretty!” Luo Yunzhu finished cheering and finally noticed Azurite. She slung an arm around Feng Tianlan and said, “Tianlan, you took a concubine? How could you.”

Feng Tianlan pulled off her arm and gave it back to her, gently. “You’re one of my concubines, too.”

Chuling looked at Azurite and saw how she stood to the side dressed in blue. She looked just like a butterfly pea flower. She was so quiet, calm, and demure, and there was an elegance about her that made her seem unapproachable.

“What’s happened these few days?” Feng Tianlan sat down on a chair, while Azurite and Chuling stood by her side to serve her.

Luo Yunzhu looked at Feng Tianlan enviously, “I’m so jealous. Even your servants are great beauties.” The only unfortunate thing was that Tianlan still had that massive scar on her face. But since Tianlan refused to get rid of it, there was nothing anyone could do.

“Be serious.” Feng Tianlan threw her a glance.

Luo Yunzhu nodded then started talking about what had happened to Tu Xiupei. She grew very excited as she painted a colorful picture of how the sisters fought each other. Her account of the story was good enough to make her a professional storyteller.

“Do you know what’s happened to Tu Xiuyu?” Luo Yunzhu dangled a carrot in front of Feng Tianlan.

Feng Tianlan looked at Chuling, who quickly replied, “Tu Xiuyu was sent out of Feng Manor last night. She was supposed to move to the house in the countryside, but...”

“Hey, hey, hey! Chuling, that’s not how it works. You’re not supposed to say everything out at once.”

Chuling ignored Luo Yunzhu and continued, “but the moment the carriage crossed the city gates, Si Rong took her away. Now she’s in the brothel, being trained in how to receive customers.”

“I told you long ago. Si Rong is the worst scum of all scum.” Luo Yunzhu sat down across from Feng Tianlan. “If a scoundrel is a piece of sh*t, then Si Rong is two pieces of sh*t.”

Luo Yunzhu wasn’t surprised that Si Rong had done something like that to Tu Xiuyu.

“Tu Xiupei instigated this?” Feng Tianlan lowered her eyes. It was true that Si Rong was more than capable of doing something like this, so there wasn’t anything to be surprised about.

Luo Yunzhu nodded. This was obviously Tu Xiupei’s doing. “It’s a pity that she managed to shut down those rumors. I have no idea how she managed to make herself a mark of Chastity Sand.”

Feng Tianlan looked down at her arm and laughed. “She’s a first-level alchemist herself, so it’s not too difficult.”
