Chapter 101 - Give Her a Marrow Cleansing Pill?

Feng Tianlan glanced at the pill in the brocade box and confirmed that it was indeed a Marrow Cleansing Pill. It was smooth and perfect-looking. But she could also see that the pill’s surface was shiny because it was covered with poison.

While this was indeed a Marrow Cleansing Pill, it would not cleanse her marrow. Instead, it would destroy her cinnabar field and make her unable to train anymore.

Feng Xiupei was truly scheming. On the surface, it seemed like she was giving Feng Tianlan something of great benefit, but she was really digging her a huge hole. That earnest expression could have fooled anyone if one did not observe carefully.

But then again, Feng Xiupei not quite as good as Shen Yunya.

“Sis, don’t you like it? Or, do you think it’s poison?” Feng Xiupei started to worry when Feng Tianlan didn’t respond to her, wondering if she’d seen through her.

But that’s not possible, Feng Xiupei thought. To her, Feng Tianlan was an ignorant bum. She was probably just be pretending that she’d seen something wrong with the pill.

“Feng Tianlan is really terrible, suspecting that the Marrow Cleansing Pill is poisoned.”

“She just doesn’t like Second Miss’ face—is that it? After all, ten years ago, they were both supposed to be geniuses. Now, one really is a genius, while the other is a good-for-nothing. She can’t compare to Second Miss anymore.”

“She’s just jealous of how successful Second Miss has become, so she’s making things difficult for her. How could someone like Second Miss poison her in public?”

The murmurs in the crowd were endless.

Feng Tianlan chuckled and took the brocade box. Then, she said to the crowd, “I’m afraid of pain, so I don’t want to cleanse my marrow. Does anyone want it? I’ll give it to you!”

The moment she said this, suddenly, all the people who were saying ugly things about Feng Tianlan earlier raised their hands and shouted, “Me! Me! I want it! Give it to me!”

The crowd started shouting and even fighting each other to get the Marrow Cleansing Pill.

“Sis...” Feng Xiupei’s expression changed a little. She hadn’t expected Feng Tianlan to counter her like this. If someone else ate this pill, her evil plan would be revealed, and her reputation would take a hard hit.

Feng Tianlan held up the brocade box. “Everyone see for yourselves! I’ve only touched the box, and I did not touch the pill.” Then, she threw the box to the crowd.

She purposely threw the box toward the people who had said the nastiest things about her. The crowd started fighting and quarrelling. As they tried to get their hands on the pill, they turned the place into a riot.

Feng Tianlan looked coldly at Feng Xiupei and said, “Don’t put on airs in front of me. Your acting is lousy.”

Compared to Shen Yunya, Feng Xiupei had a long way to go.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Feng Xiupei spoke as if she had been wronged and was all teary-eyed. “I just wanted to help you regain your former glory, but you...”

Before she could finish her sentence, her tears started to fall, drop by drop, and she put on her most adorable expression.

“Feng Tianlan, your second sister is so kind as to offer you such a pill. Yet, you don’t want it, and you even say mean things about her. What sort of older sister are you?” Feng Xiang shouted at Feng Tianlan.

Even though Feng Xiang had earned a chance to obtain the treasure, he still hated Feng Tianlan to the bone. He did not know how to talk to her nicely. To him, she was lucky if he didn’t feel like killing her.

“Ahhh!”

Just when Feng Xiang had finished shouting at Feng Tianlan, a sharp cry came from the crowd. Everyone immediately took several steps back, deflecting the blame.

“My stomach...it’s so...it’s so painful. My cinnabar field, my cinnabar...” the same person who’d first screamed let out another cry of pain. After a few more screams, his body went stiff, and his head tilted to one side. He was dead.
