He repliedWe went to a cafe and I bought both of us an iced teaDavid seemed to enjoy it and I drank my tea tooWe sat back in the car ready to moveThank you ma'am he saidIt's fine David you can just call me Ria, which of course he ignored as mentioned before he is strictly devoted to his work (smiling with pain emoji)I went back home and it was the final time to get ready, the hair stylist and the makeup artist were already waiting for me and I just needed to take a showerI quickly gave myself a nice bath and went in to dressI took out the lehenga I was about to wear and put it on my lean bodyThe women started their work on me and I was sitting there watching myself get ready, while my dad was trying to feed me food in betweenIt was almost 1 hr and these women still hadn't finished their work on me, sitting there like that for an hour made me entirely exhausted it felt like I would pass out here even before the engagementFinally, after 2 hrs the lipstick moment arrived and the makeup finally ended with slightly smokey eyes and my favorite glossy nude lips, my hair was tied in a gorgeous bun with small amounts of hair falling on the sides of my face, they put on the fine diamond jewelry on my delicate neck and adjusted it on my neckI put on my heels and was finally readyThe car sent by Arjun for me to come down to the engagement hall was waiting outside our houseI slowly took steps as Adi started clicking a few pictures of me in my dressI sat down in the car adjusting my lehenga and David drove offIt was a huge engagement hall located in the heart of the cityAnd today was the moment when David spoke for the first time, looking beautiful ma'am, I'm sure sir would be enchanted if he sees youThank you David I replied in a warm tone and he continued drivingWe reached the hall and Arjun was already waiting for me near the entrance of the hallHe walked towards the car seeing us and opened the door for me, I stepped out of the carHe gave out his hand asking me to hold hisHe held my hand and helped me get down the carAre you ready baby? I tried to ignore my thoughts andWe finally reached the center of the room with all the eyes still on usSanjeev uncle came toward us and took a micAttention everyone he announced to all the guests who were now busy talking about us and sipping their drinksAll the gaze shifted towards us once againToday is a very auspicious day for the two of our families he continuedI and Arjun were standing together and he was trying to tickle my arm with his fingersArjun! I said with a warm smileWe passed on everyone just like that taking compliments and we were exhausted in no time we decided to sit by the bar counterI decided to drink a mocktail while Arjun decided to drink some wineYou don't drink wine? He asked sipping his wineI took a sip of my mojitoOk, so once my dad bought some wine and he drank it, later he was thirsty and he drank water from a bottle and unfortunately, that was my school bottle, I unknowingly took it to school the next day and it stank like hell, I couldn't drink water the whole day and had to remain thirsty that entire day Both of us were laughing badlyThat is when we heard chaos from a place, and we decided to go there, I kept my mojito over there and we rushed over to the placeI saw my mom law on the ground unconscious with a glass broken near herRita aunty who was standing beside her told us that she was sipping her drink and fainted suddenlyArjun quickly called a doctor and mom was carried into a room in the hotel in the same buildingI sat over there beside her, tears were forming in my eyes, Arjun's hands were over my shoulders and he tried calming me downThe doctor came inside and inspected mom, don't worry it's just stress she reassured usShe called out to Arjun and informed him of somethingI got out of the room, and Arjun came after meRia!
