epilogue

Leah was finally able to open her dream shop after all the drama and problems. Wearing the necklace gifted to her when they finally met after weeks, Leah smiled to herself.

Kane stood next to her, proud of her achievements she has made.

She was truly a self made woman, and a damned amazing woman, despite the obstacles faced.

Beside them were their families and friends, all proud of Leah.

As she clicked the release button, everyone cheered at it. Though it was a small milestone, it meant so much to the young woman.

"Dinner at mine!" Kayley exclaimed.

With shouts of agreement, everyone parted ways and left to prepare for the dinner together.

After an hour or so of relaxation, Leah and Kane set off to her parent's place. They decided to do a potluck style and get everyone to bring something.

Though, Kayley and Liam would prepare the bulk of the dinner tonight. But with the large number of people, it was best fit to prepare more than less.

Kane and Leah decided to prepare snacks like chicken wings, nuggets, fries and some popcorn chicken and brought it along.

Leah had prepared the chicken wings and popcorn chicken earlier this week mainly for their consumption, but seeing there was a potluck happening, these were thought to be a great addition.

As for the nuggets and fries, they rummaged through their frozen goods chucked in the freezer and decided to air fry them with the air fryer they had purchased a month ago.

Once they had finally agreed on what to bring, Leah brought them out to defrost and had some time to relax.

It was a pretty exhausting day and all she wanted to do was to lie in bed. At least she was able to do just that.

Not long after, she fell sleep, drifting to her own la la land.

She felt someone shaking her up from her deep sleep. Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw Kane, as expected.

"Come on, we have about an hour left. I packed everything already. Just go get ready" Kane said, pecking Leah on the lips before leaving her to her own privacy.

She first decided on what to wear, then took a quick rinse before slipping on a white dress with flower patterns on it.

When she was satisfied, Leah used a claw clip she had a did a simple hair do than used some makeup.

Happy, she left the room to see Kane already ready, on his phone.

Giving Kane a little tap on his shoulders, he looked up and saw his girlfriend looking stunning like always.

"You are so beautiful" Kane complimented to which Leah blushed as always. Thanking him, she also complimented him.

"Thank you. You look so handsome" Leah said, which helped to boost Kane's ego.

After that, they then set off to Liam's and Kayley's place. During the drive, they didn't talk much, just letting the music be in the background.

It still felt surreal the whole saga was finally over. Even though they were all sent to jail, there was still a thought of them reappearing.

However, they didn't want that thought to occupy them. It was a happy occasion, and they didn't want to ruin the excited atmosphere.

After all, it was a celebration. And celebrations were meant to be happy.

Not long after, they reached.

Leah grabbed the food from the backseat while Kane helped Leah open the door, then help her with the food prepared.

Knocking on the door, they waited. It wasn't long when the door opened, to see Liam, whose clothes were covered in many different condiments.

Even with the apron, it was very much useless as clearly, it didn't do anything to protect.

"Hi sweetie. Hey Kane. Come on in" Opening the door bigger, he held the door while waiting for them to enter before closing the door.

The whole place smelt amazing, like her favorite braised pork with rice. There was also more Taiwanese dishes and something more neutral.

As not everyone might like the braised pork rice, they also prepared the safer option, stir fried noodles.

It is a simple dish yet loved by many. The whole cooking preparation took around 2 hours, needing to make it in big portions.

Everyone decided to skip lunch and eat ravenously for dinner here instead.

After all, the food there would definitely be bomb, and there will lots of variety.

As expected, Leah and Kane were the first to arrive, followed by Kane's parents who brought some sushi along with them.

Next came Romeo and Scarlet who brought in some desserts- cupcakes to be exact and after them was Enya, who brought wine.

They weren't that surprised, knowing that Enya is in fact the life of the party.

Lastly, was the new group of friends they made. It took them a while to get here due to trying to navigate the place, having never been here before.

They brought two boxes of pizza, but not wanting to over bring.

When everyone was present, they all dug in. Liam and Kayley had already took a shower to clean off the grease on them to see everyone here already.

Leah and Kane decided to make it buffet style, thus setting it up like so. Then, they brought out plates and cutlery and took a seat either on the couch or the dining table.

Everyone chatted a bit, getting to know each other better.

Despite the large portions brought by everyone, it was still cleared completely, the result of not eating lunch.

It was around 8pm when everyone felt bloated. There was still deserts so they placed it at one side for the timing being.

Also, the wine wasn't open yet. They were planning to play some drinking games, seeing that there was a lot of people.

Definitely would be fun with a latte group of people.

Bringing out the playing cards, everyone played poker and then black jack, playing with real money.

Punishments either included drinking wine or eating cake.

Since everyone was full, it was a very hard punishment.

The drivers tried not to drink too much and chose to eat instead to prevent drink driving. Obviously, they didn't want an accident to happen.

The house was filled with laughter and joy.

After many hours of playing, everyone was pretty shock to see the time- 1.07am.

Realizing how late it was, they bid goodbye and left to go back home, promising to meet soon.

Once Leah and Kane had reached home from the very tiring festivities, they took a shower separately and laid in bed.

And that's when the sentimental moment came.

"Thank you for being my boyfriend Kane and believing in me" Leah said to him.

"No, thank you for being with me" Kane responded back.

After many hurdles and obstacles the couple faced during their journey, they came out stronger than ever.

They had their fights, their misunderstandings, their fun and most importantly their love stayed the same, if not increased.

And, this was the story of Mr Ceo and Me.
