31| moving in

"Surprise!!" Multiple voices flooded their ears when Kane opened the door.

They both were shocked by sudden appearance of their friends- Enya, Scarlet and Romeo.

"Oh hi!" Leah smiled at their presence. It had been awhile since they met one another.

With everything that went on, it was no surprise they didn't have time to meet up.

Leah was just glad to see them. But a lingering thought was in her head.

Why were they here? Did Kane call them? As they hadn't mentioned it to anyone that they were moving today, how did they know.

"I know I know, mom told me that you are moving in so we thought we would help you guys. Sorry if we scared you" Enya said.

"No it is fine. We were just caught by surprise" Leah replied for the both of them, Kane nodding away.

"Well come on in to my humble abode" Leah said, opening the door for them to enter.

Entering the flat, they looked around the foreign place. It looked cosy and comfy, and the aesthetics were there.

Chef's kisses, Enya thought. It was no surprise as she knew Leah's talent on in design. She was excited to see the designs Leah had made.

"There isn't actually much here since half of my things are at Kane's place" Leah joked, leading them to the bedroom.

She led them to her room where in fact it looked empty. There were some things on the floor spread out and some drawers were opened.

"Well, let's get packing" Scarlet said.

It had been a few hours and they were done. Chinese takeout boxes littered around the table and Romeo let out a burp, causing everyone to laugh.

"Now we just have to move all these boxes to their place and we are done" Enya said happily.

After a few more minutes of chilling and throwing of the trash, they piled up the boxes into the boot of Kane's car.

By now, Scarlet and Romeo had left as they were going on a date.

Enya was joining the couple. I need to find someone, she thought. Enya was constantly tagging along couples, being the third wheel and all.

"Come on Enya, let's go" Kane said, shaking her out of her thoughts.

After that, they then entered the car and drove off back to Kane's and Leah's place. Playing some music, they jammed to the songs and had some fun.

Time seemed to pass by really fast when they finally reached their place.

Unpacking those boxes into their home, they each helped to carry the boxes into their room.

"Thanks Enya" Leah smiled.

"I'll be off now. It's time for me to get laid" Enya exclaimed, walking out the house.

Kane looked at Enya a little worried but he didn't want to be too protective.

"Call me if you feel uncomfortable" Kane shouted out to Enya who nodded.

Leah then unpacked everything. It was tedious yet enjoyable for some reason.

After that, she relaxed on the couch with Kane as they watched Brooklyn 99 together.

Dinner was still a question mark as they both were unsure on what to eat.

Later on Leah decided to continue finishing up her designs and then send for mass manufacturing.

Her shop is also almost done, still needing some work to be done. She was excited for the grand opening.

If all goes well, Leah could open by mid July. Hopefully, there wouldn't be anything to disrupt her plan.

She began sketching up more ideas and also seek opinions from Kane on her designs.

As usual, Kane was in love with those designs. She just had a flair for being a designer. Interior designing- check. Fashion designing- check. Food designing- check.

"Who is going to model the pieces?" Kane asked as he snuggled Leah, as if she was a pillow.

It was a hilarious sight. A grown, 6'2 man hugging a 5'5 female who is trying to get the man off her.

"Well, I'm not sure. I guess we can get Enya and Scarlet and I'll find other people to model for my website" Leah said, trying to pry him off but it made him hold on tighter.

"Why not you model too?" Kane suggested, making Leah immediately reject.

"No way. I'm not fit to be a model" Leah responded.

"There isn't a 'correct fit' for a model you know that?" Kane said, being more serious.

"You always talk about every girl looks pretty and how you want to get models of all shapes,  sizes and colors.

Leah, you are really pretty and I love you for you. Nothing wrong with modeling" Kane told her who looked shocked by his words.

"Okay, I'll give it a shot" Leah said.

"And done. Thank you very much Vanessa" Penelope, the photographer said as she finished her round of pictures.

Right now, they were finishing the photo taking for her line. Once it was done, she just need to place them into a website and she can open her shop.

After years of planning and saving, her dream was coming together like puzzles pieces, forming a picture as a result.

Like what she planned, Scarlet and Enya were models, including other people she scouted via online.

They even took a group picture together. Despite their short interaction, they had lots of fun. Saving their contacts, she now had more friends, five more to be exact.

And in particular, Olivia. The two girls had bonded and got closer faster than any of them. This definitely wouldn't be the last time they would meet.

"Leah, you ready? It's your turn now" Penelope called her.

She nodded and started to follow how the previous models modeled and followed. She also tried some other poses she had seen online.

After ten minutes of shooting, they were done for the day. Penelope packed up and left, leaving Leah alone.

Scarlet had an important meeting to go to right after her shooting and Enya had a date.

Vanessa, Tabitha, Reyna, Emma had left right after they were done, promising to hang out soon.

As for Olivia, she went to buy some food from the nearby café down the street. She would have asked her to grab something from her parents but Olivia left before Leah could say anything.

Leah packed up everything and tidied up the shop. Just then, Leah saw Olivia holding two cups of drinks and bag of food.

Being hungry, Leah ate the food without hesitation, but not forgetting to thank her.

They ate and chatted a little before Leah noticed the time- 2.47pm.

"Sorry but I kinda need to go now" Leah said apologetically. As she had a date with Kane later at 4, she needed time to get ready and drive back.

"Oh, why? I'm kinda bored. If you don't mind, can I join?" Olivia asked a little sheepish.

"Erm" Leah sort of felt bad for rejecting but it would be weird for Kane and herself to have a third wheel on their date.

Plus, they just met today. It was weird.

"Sorry, but I have a date with my boyfriend and it's not appropriate for you to join" Leah said.

"I don't mind" Olivia said which surprised Leah.

"But my boyfriend would mind. He doesn't even know you exist!" Leah responded a little too aggressive.

"Okay chill Leah. I was just asking" Olivia rolled her eyes. "I guess I'll see you soon then"

With that, Olivia left.

Leah was perplexed. She only had one thought:

Why was Olivia acting so weird?
