"What the hell?!" Leah said shocked. "Is that Bernard?" Leah muttered to herself.

Her ex boyfriend standing in all glory, but that wasn't the most shocking part. Austin Warts was with him too.

The paparazzi changed their attention from the couple to the two uninvited guests.

Because of their unexpected appearance, Kim, who manages Kane's figure in the public eye and a part time assistant had to make multiple calls to solve the issue.

As the whole ordeal was live, it made it even more interesting than it already is.

People tuning it for the fun of it, or are genuinely interested in watching all had their eyes glued on the screens.

It was as if it was a movie in real life and the tension was arising.

Paparazzi turned their attention to Bernard and Austin, who both had looks of anger written on their face.

As to why? Guess we will find that out together.

"You piece of shit! Why did you send my precocious daughter to jail!" Austin yelled in anger.

Okay, so Austin had a reason? But Bernard? As of now, their reason for being together was unknown.

Just then, cameras started to bombard Austin as this piece of news hadn't been announced to the whole public.

Immediately, cameras started flashing in his face, trying to get the story out of him.

However, before Austin could open his mouth, Kane replied, "Your daughter and her friends broke into my girlfriend's place and trashed up the whole place.

The police have already identified them as the culprits. The guy beside you too had his part to play.

At this point, you probably had some say in this didn't you?" Kane asked rhetorically, smirking in the process.

Before things could go haywire, Kane continued, "If you could leave that will be great. As for your involvement, the police will be in charge to find out more.

And now, I'll be leaving with my girlfriend. To everyone who is watching, sorry that this didn't work out as planned.

I'll try my best to reschedule this conference again" With that, leaving the place, with cameras trying to get the last few shots of him.

The next whole week was hectic to say the least. Kane had to hire bodyguards to make sure his and her side of the family were not harmed due to the ongoing situation.

One radio station had reached out, asking to do an interview regarding everything.

Kane agreed as it would be the easier way to solve things. Leah, to his surprise, had agreed to join him.

He genuinely thought had now she wouldn't want to have a repeat on what happened a week ago.

Right now, they were on the way to do the interview.

Leah was wearing white one piece with heels to match the look, while Kane wore a navy suit, as usual.

She was still feeling nervous, but as nervous compared to week ago. If they went to more of such interviews, she could probably get used to used to it.

Also, she had to get her shop done and move her belongings to Kane's place. It was going to be tiring. She knew it.

"Honey" Kane said softly, "You okay" Leah nodded. "I'm just thinking about how any things I have to do"

"I have to move in, I need to finalize my designs and send to mass produce. Plus with everything going on now, I'm so stressed" She ranted and felt much better after ranting.

Kane just listened attentively, trying to understand her stress. He was thinking of some ideas, on how to relive her stress.

But for now, it was interview time. Their driver dropped them off and the couple entered the building secretly as to not attract attention from the press.

Once they entered, they were greeted by the cool breeze of air. Some of the staff working also came to see the famous billionaire and his girlfriend.

Their interviewer, Nancy Heinz, came out from her office to greet them, then lead them to the set where the interview is to take place.

"Hi, I'm Nancy Heinz. I spoke to your manager on the interview and will be the one to conduct it" She introduced herself, gesturing them to take a seat.

"I'll let you guys look through the questions we prepared. You can take a look on what you are comfortable with sharing. Any preference on drinks?" Nancy asked.

"Nope. Buy something warm for my girlfriend. Thanks a lot Nancy" Kane said to her. With that, she left to get their drinks.

There wasn't anything too crazy about the questions and he made sure she was alright too before proceeding with the interview.

With everything out of the way, the interview began.

"Thank you once again to Mr De Luca and Ms Knight for sharing with everyone the tea. This is Nancy Heinz, signing off" The sound echoed throughout the car as Leah watched the video.

She couldn't help but cringe every time she heard herself speak. It was just how it is. Even though Kane reassured her she was fine, deep down he found him speaking weird too

It is just a human thing where we are critical on ourselves.

Right now, they were on the way to Leah's apartment to pack her things and bring it over to their place.

Before that, they were at the police station to get compensation from Jessica, Hannah and Bianca.

As of now, they are currently locked up in the cells. Whether they would be out is another thought. Let's just hope they will be there for a while.

They needed a drama free life for now.

Kane drove to her apartment and she reminisced her past few years staying here. It was hectic and challenging, but it also holds great memories, especially with Kane.

"Honey, let's go" Kane said as he opened the door for Leah. They both wore comfy clothes as they knew it was going to take a few hours of their time.

When they got in, the house was still the same as Leah remembered. After the break in, almost anything was possible in her books.

The place just was a little dusty. Since the break in, they had to postpone the moving and thus paid rent for the month of June.

Kane and Leah also brought along some cardboard boxes just in case, in the vent the suitcases cannot fit anything whatever that's left.

Doing a quick stretch, they started to organize everything.

As they were about to start packing, they heard the doorbell. But they were not expecting company.

So who could it be?
