15| shopping with the De Luca's

The weekend came away faster than expected.

Over the past few days, it was just them working and working, and also getting to know each other.

Kane planned to ask her to go to the gala held on 1 February. It was optional to bring a date, and as the boss, Kane thought he should be a good example.

Bullshit, you just wanna get close to her, his subconscious said.

He also planned to ask her to be his girlfriend on 1 February to make things even more special.

But he was feeling a little sad. Leah was with his mother and sister, shopping dresses for the gala.

Kane wanted to get tag along but he quote from Enya. "No men are allowed"

Sighing, he admitted defeat and just let them go. Kane did slip in his card into Leah's purse.

Hopefully she saw it, he thought.

For now, he decided to occupy himself and do some work.

Meanwhile,

The three girls headed to the mall. Leah had never been to this mall as the mall being more on the pricey side.

On the other hand, Audrey and Enya had been here multiple times, mainly to buy outfits for events.

In fact, their whole family visits here for clothes.

Rich family things.

Leah felt a little out of place but Enya and Audrey made sure she wasn't.

She was also concerned for the prices. It was way out of her price range.

However, they convinced her that they would pay. She still felt bad. Maybe she would earn enough and pay them back, she planned it out.

Digging through her bag, she felt something unusual. It was like a card. Leah hadn't remembered putting a card in her bag.

Taking it out, Enya recognized that card. It was her brother's credit card.

"Wow, he gave us his credit card" Enya exclaimed.

"Come on Leah, let's get shopping" Enya dragged both her mother and Leah into shops, giving them no space to breathe.

They went to store after store, finding their perfect one for each of them.

Leah helped the both of them find their dresses, receiving compliments from the both of them. She blushed at it, but managed to help them style well.

Enya in the end was bought by the designs on the dress. It wasn't too long in the sense that she would step on her dress, but it wasn't short like it would reveal too much.

It was perfect for her. It complemented her body and showed off her curves.

"Beautiful!" Leah complimented.

"Ya, gorgeous as heck. Excuse my language" Audrey said, admiring it.

As for Audrey, it took some time finding one but in the end she managed to find one.

It was a black one, that had a v line to it. But Audrey wanted to have it alerted, sewing the v line.

And I quote, "As an older woman, I would like my cleavage to be hidden"

It was still equally as pretty as Enya's. Just a difference in styles and generations.

Leah still hadn't found a dress but she was still remaining positive.

While walking, a dress caught Leah's eyes from a store. The two woman seeing she was interested rushed her into the store.

It was white long dress with puffy sleeves, and a little belt.

It is so pretty, she admired it.

"Get it, Kane won't mind, in fact he would be happy" Enya persuaded her.

In the end, Leah bought it with Kane's money though she wanted to pay.

The dresses were to be delivered to their doorsteps, which would be easier for them.

They wouldn't have to carry lots of things.

After the shopping spree, they decided to relax at a cafe to rest and recuperate.

Since it was around 4, pretty close to dinner time, they shared some pastries the cafe served.

"I need to head to the toilet or ladies, whatever you call it. Enjoy but leave me some" Enya announced comically, making them both laugh.

"I have a question- Do you like Kane?" Audrey asked, holding Leah's hand.

Leah had taken some time to answer, trying to answer from her heart or her mind.

But in the end, her heart was the one who spoke.

"I do" Leah braced for some sort of talking down or lectures, but only received a hug instead.

"I have another daughter" Audrey sang in joy. "I know that you might I would not accept you but I do, in fact everyone does, okay"

"Thank you" Leah almost teared while giving her a hug.

"I won't pressure you to get together. Take it at your own pace" Audrey reassured, making Leah smile at her thoughtfulness.

Just then, Enya came back, asking "What's with the sappiness? Cheer up!"

"It was nothing dear, don't let your one brain cell think too much" Audrey teased Enya who acted as though she was offended.

Enya didn't really bother to probe and instead finish it up.

The food was her number one priority.

When the clock struck five, they decided to leave and head back.

Leah was offered to stay for lunch and she accepted. She was excited to see Kane, though she wouldn't say it to anyone.

During the car ride back, Leah thought about how comfortable she had gotten with the De Luca's.

It was a foreign feeling, having not received love in a long time. As always, she hoped her parents were just fine, wherever they were.

Soon enough, the three ladies arrived at the De Luca mansion.

Thanking the chauffeur, they then entered the mansion where both Matthew and Kane were at the living room, chit chatting about something.

Their presence were made to be known from the moment they stepped in. It was obvious. The crinkling sounds of the bags, their footsteps, their laughter.

"Hi ladies. How was your shopping trip?" Kane asked teasing, knowing they were out for hours.

"It was good. We all found dresses and Leah's one is so gorgeous, it's too die for" Enya gushed at Leah's dress.

Leah on the other hand felt a little embarrassed about the sudden spotlight.

"It's really good. It fits her well" Audrey said, rubbing salt to Kane's 'wound'.

The moment he heard Enya's words, his mind travelled everywhere, wondering how beautiful she would look wearing it.

Now with his mother saying more, it was getting hard for him to control. To put things simply, he was getting a little horny.

He tried not to let it be obvious and instead act like everything was fine. Joined in on the conversations and soon the horniness faded.

"Anyways, dinner is probably ready kids" Audrey announced as she smelled the aroma floating to the living room.

True enough, dinner was served. On the menu today was roast chicken with sides of mash potatoes and onion rings.

The five of them enjoyed their meals, no one complaining about anything. As usual, it was scrumptious.

The cooks really outdo themselves every time.

"Let's watch a movie! I'll prepare the popcorn" Enya suggested and rushed off immediately, not giving them a chance to say anything.

Enya could feel the sexual tension between Kane and Leah, and she would much rather not watch her parents make out.

The four of them stood there rendered speechless but managed to collect themselves back.

Going to the theater for the experience, each couple took a seat not close to each other. Probably because they want to do some unholy things.

Enya came back just in time for the movie, handing each couple a big bag of popcorn.

She did feel slightly lonely, but the good thing was she had the whole bag of popcorn to herself. Enjoy the singleness while it lasts, she gave herself a sort of mini 'pep talk'.

When the movie ended, all the ladies fell asleep, exhausted from the events from the afternoon.

Matthew first picked up Audrey into their room, before carrying Enya back to her old room.

Being the gentleman he is, he reached for the makeup wipes, using what he learnt from his mother and cleaned off the makeup, tucked and kissed her goodbye before leaving to Audrey.

He repeated whatever he did to Enya to Audrey but also changed her. They were a couple after all.

As for Kane, he brought Leah to his bedroom and wiped away her makeup with the wipes. He learnt it from his father.

Respecting her privacy, he didn't change her and let her rest on the bed.

Not knowing whether she was okay with sharing a bed with him, he decided to rest on the couch in his bedroom.

It was small but for Leah, he would do anything.

After all, that was his father's words.
