CHAPTER 8

***SIDE STORY OF BANE***

After the encounter between the grey wolf Bane hid to the woods in his wolf form after he shape shift. And thoroughly saw that Gab and shadow made there way on his house, seeing the boy scared on that moment, he watch and check Gab the whole night just being outside.

It’s really something and he cares about it when it’s concerning Gab, a few moments later Bane senses something coming on his direction.

He looks back and saw two wolf one has dark chocolate brown fur and other has a black fur with a strike of brown along its body.

He knew who they were and the wolf again look at the house.

The two wolves join him and sat together with him.

“Why are you still here? Father was looking for you all day asking about you and the pup.” said the other black wolf.

“I can’t leave him” said Bane still looking at the house.

“Are you out of your mind? If father knows this he would get in trouble, and he’s a human you’re a Lycan we shouldn’t cope up to them”

“Yeah it’s against our rule, your father would totally get mad” said the chocolate brown wolf.

“I don’t care I need to be here to guard him especially what happen just now.”

The two new wolves look at each other and ask Bane.

“What happen?”

“Another Lycan came I don’t know what clan he is but he attacks Gab and tries to hurt him and the pup.

“Pup? You mean the pup that came to that house? That we found?” ask the other black wolf.

“Yes Grey.”

“But why didn’t you just get that pup? He’s already one of our clan, since his new and a rare one.

“I’ve never seen like it since his born a pup and not a baby since we saw him together in his mother’s dead corpse” said Remus the brown wolf.

Lycan usually born as a baby and will develop their natural instinct and will shape shift when hitting the early age of puberty but it’s rare when being born as a pup cause they usually don’t live that long and seeing the pup really amazed them especially there Alpha.

That moment Bane remembered the day how they found the pup curled up on its mother’s embrace protecting the fragile pup and was hidden from something.

They shouldn’t noticed him since his small but Bane hear its whimpering and saw the small pup up from then on they took the pup seeing it cannot live all to himself and took responsibility on taking care of it.

But it became distant and would just want to be with Bane and didn’t like to associate with other Lycans.

“I don’t think shadow would like to get away from Gab”

“Shadow? Who’s shadow?” ask Remus

“The pup, that’s Gab called him”

“And why does the pup don’t like to get away in that house? I mean look didn’t it like on our place?” ask Grey

“I don’t think about it, it’s just his fond to Gab”

“But isn’t he also fond with you? the pup always go after you so why don’t you return home together with him?”

“I can’t as I said the pup is fond with gab like its content with him and like to be always close to him more. You saw from the day that we saw the pup come trough that house and Gab saw him, the pup was like glad and like him already and I think Gab to so. I don’t like to get them separated especially now that danger might be somewhere. I need to protect them both.” said Bane.

Grey signed “Fine. We’ll tell father about the pup and don’t worry about Gab where not going to tell something about him but can I ask one more question?” Bane nod

“What is it Grey?”

“Why are you protecting him? and from that day too that you saw him together with shadow it’s like I always see you go out of our home, are you always here? to watch for him?” ask Grey and Bane nod.

“I always have this feeling like I need to see him to always check if he’s ok, to touch him” Bane smiled remembering that moment when he kiss Gab and having fun together with him.

“Hmmmm. all right. But remember what we said about the rule and father” Bane nodded again and look to the house.

“We’re going back, I’ll tell father that you have something to do, but be home by morning.”

“I can’t guaranteed it, but I’ll be home don’t worry about it and just tell father.”

Grey and Remus nod and the both went their way inside the woods.

”Hey Grey, why does Bane becomes like that? We both know that he didn’t care about someone other than our clan and he always hid his emotion to us, why all of a sudden his like someone I don’t know anymore, I don’t get him, specially when he met that boy it’s like he did something to him. what should we do?” ask Remus

“I think I know what’s happening to him we just have to ask father about this and think that this was wrong”

“Ok.” Then the two go the rest of the way to there home, a large cave opening that’s hidden by the vines on its side and they enter and saw houses that are made of stones typical houses but they went to the largest house.

A mansion stood at the top of the small hill where the leader of their clan lives and the house of their father.

While Remus house stood at the side of it a lot larger than the rest, his father was the Beta of the Alpha.

Before entering the house they were greeted by a beautiful girl with long white blonde hair when she saw them.

“Hey Grey, Remus, took you long to come home, where’s brother?” she ask

Grey shook his head “he’ll be back tomorrow, he just have something to do.” he said

She frowned. “What is that something?” she ask again

“That’s why we came home to tell father, is he here?” she nods and the two started there way inside the mansion.

Upon entering the mansion you’ll see lot’s of paintings of their family, fine furniture’s and a very sophisticated atmosphere.

Lycans adapt on their surroundings, cope up with the rest of human for their needs like having jobs and getting foods and stuff for their clan, but still hidden on the watchful eyes of humans and other Lycans to protect their children.

Going upstairs they came to a stop on a large doubled door room, they knock and entered it and saw a large man with jet black hair and grey eyes.

“Welcome home son, Remus.” said the man he look at them and stand, they neared the man both young men lower there heads showing respect to the Alpha.

“Where’s your brother and the pup Grey?” said the Alpha

“We found them both father.” Said Grey and the man smiled

“So, where’s your brother and the little one?”

“The pup was staying at a human boy and Bane has something to do as he said, he’ll be home tomorrow” Grey said.

The man nodded and asks “what was it that his been doing? Is that important enough that he cannot go home right now? I wonder what your brother is up to.”

The alpha sat down on his chair thinking and asks again “and why does the pup on the hands of a human? Shouldn’t you take him from that boy?”

The two look at each other, finding answers to his question “Bane said that he will take care of it too, he also knew about the pup and the boy” said Grey.

“Then why didn’t you just bring back that pup to us now?”

“The pup had become fond to that human that it like to stay on him, Bane told us to just leave that to him.” Said Remus

“Hmmm.. I guess the pup really like the boy considering he wants to be with him, ok you two keep an eye on the boy and talk to Bane on how to bring back the pup to us when he came home, also tell him to see me afterwards.”

Both men nod and before they went outside Grey said “Father there’s something I want to ask you”

The Alpha look to his son “what is it Grey?”

Grey look back to Remus who nod and left the room.

“I’m just curious but Bane was acting really different lately, his now very secretive and always go out to where I don’t know where do you happen to know what was happening to him?” he ask

“Hmmmm.. What else did you see on him?”

“Uhmm.. His now more distant.”

“What else? Does he have someone that he was seeing lately?” Grey think for a minute and thinking about Bane always seeing Gab in their house.

“Yes Father, but I don’t know who it was. But he told me how he always have this feeling like he need to see him, to always check on him, to touch him, that’s the exact words he said, it’s like his drawn to him deeply.”

“Him? A male Lycan? Have you seen this boy?” Grey just shook his head and wait for his Father’s answer, gender issue are not that really a big deal at their kind especially if one has truly found his or her mate, they cannot break that bond.

“maybe your brother found his mate already considering what you have told me I better ask your brother about him or even sent this mate of his in here” his father smiled proudly

“I better not do that, maybe your wrong father? Or his just over reacting to himself of what his feelings are.”

“nonsense! If it’s that how he feel and the pull that’s between the two of them to be together then it’s not wrong.”

The boy cringe thinking about what his brother would do to him because of what he said to their Father.

“Don’t worry Grey you’ll find your mate soon enough and you’ll know why Bane is acting that way.”

Excitement drawn in his Father’s eyes considering his son’s finding his mate and thinking what would the boy look like.

“I’ll better go Father, Lovellalsowants to know what happen to Bane.” the Alpha nod and so the boy left and came outside his door and breath out a relief, his problem now was his brother when he know that he told their Father about Gab being his Mate.

Thinking about an angry brother terrified him enough, and what he would do to him.

Then suddenly an arm was place at his shoulders that made him jump slightly.

“Grey what happen to you? You look like you seen something scary or something, but of course it’s not me” she said.

Grey just shook his head holding his chest and said “shut up.. And don’t scare me like that Lovell you almost made me a heart attack.”

“Ow shut it. What are you so scared off? Did Father scold you or something?”

“More worst than that, Bane would totally kill me now” she look at his brother that says she don’t know what his talking about.

“Ok spill it out, I want to know it too.” She said so she pulled his brother to the kitchen and saw their mother making some dish to bring to them.

“Spill it.” said Lovell so Grey said to them what he said to their Father and after he finishes what he said the hear a squealed and saw their mother putting down what she cooked.

Then said “really? Your bother found his mate? What’s he look like? And where was he now? I guess together with his mate?” she said

“Mom I don’t know him.” He lied

“Besides I don’t know or rather he don’t know weather that boy was really his mate. It’s for him to decide.”

“I guess we better ask him too mom” said Lovell

“right Lovell well ask that brother of yours about this, keeping secret’s to his mother, you are really growing really fast, now your brother then Grey and you Lovell” she said with fake tears on her eyes.

Her both children just shook there heads and they talk on and on asking Grey about his brother and his so called mate but the boy keep his mouth shut about Gab and just shrug it off when they ask about him.
