Chapter 5

CHAPER 5

Two days have past, its afternoon already and my day started boring yet annoying Jade came to my room and wake me as early as 7am I’m not really a morning person so that of course make me annoyed the rest of the day having a sister like her really pushes my nerves sometimes.

But I just understands her knowing that our parents is away and she just wants attention to us, but hey I just want my day too, so here I am just watching a random movie while my grandparents do something’s I don’t really know.

And Jade is together with shadow playing outside when I heard the door open and Jade and shadow enter together with our grandparents, Jade sat by my side, shadow suddenly jumps at me who suddenly lay on my lap so I rub his head and Jade saying things she played together with shadow.

I guess they really cope up with each other and enjoying the summer break and thinking about everything about summer, I’m here and not together with my bestfriends already bored me.

My grandma saw the bored expression in me and ask "Gab, can you do me favor?"

"sure grandma, what is it?" I ask.

" can you buy something for me on the store? I really need it for making cookies, your grandpa will be joining you going there." I nod then Jade instantly yell happily.

Grandma smiled and Jade suddenly saying things to her like how she wants her cookies to be made, I too said something about what I like, sorry for being childish but I like my grandma’s cookies.

We really want cookies that our grandma made, so I shooed her and looking at my lap, shadow is sleeping now and I’ll need to go to my room to change my clothes and lay shadow there.

"sure grandma just list the things that you’ll need, ill just go upstairs to change.”

Jade on the other hand talk again to them both of our grandparents about her cookies, I smiled to her and went to my room.

Putting down the sleeping form of shadow I begun to change my outfit and after a while I came downstairs and saw Jade still not finished talking to both of them, they laugh to what she was saying and she pouted.

I smiled and when Jade saw me she handed me the list and money instantly.

"really Jade? I think your the long lost sister of cookie monster" she again pout and both me and our grandparents laugh.

"but I really love the cookies grandma made" grandma smiled, patted her head.

"oh honey, you really flattered me"

"but its true grandma" I said.

“Children always says the truth dear” said grandpa walking outside I nod and started to go out of the house together with grandpa to buy the ingredients for our cookies.

But before I could walkout into the house Jade stop me and hurried me home once I buy all of it, I nod and patted her head its mid afternoon and I join my grandpa at the car, he started the engine and its not that long since I saw a small grocery store not far away from our house.

Just ten minutes of driving and your already there, I got out of the car, grandpa telling me to wait for him and he’ll just meet a friend nearby and have a small chat. I nod and his off.

I entered the store and taken out the list Jade given me, I grab a small pushcart and just grab what’s on the list, after gathering what I needed I came to the cashier to pay for what I’ve need.

In there was a beautiful girl with long curly blonde hair, he look to me and ask “new in town?”

I shook my head “quite, I came here once before and just staying for summer”

She smiled cutely and she’s really a friendly person judging from what I’ve seen to her, maybe being in here and without having much costumers she may know weather your new or not.

“ow..where you staying at?” she ask

“at our grandparents house just at the end of the border there” I said

“ow right..are they’re your grandparents? They usually went here, they’re nice people and everyone here knows them, specially your grandma when they come here, she’ll give me cookies and we’ll chat awhile and she’ll talk about her grandsons and granddaughters.”

I blushed when she told me about it, and she’s really a talkative one saying what she wants to say.

After out little chit chat I’ve know her name, her name was Lovell she’s one year younger than me, she’s 16 and after we introduced ourselves he punch my items and I said goodbye to her.

Before I could walk the rest outside I received a call from grandpa that he would take awhile before he’ll pick me up.

I even heard someone arguing like there were lots of people together with grandpa, I nod but then remembered he cant see me, I just said that I’ll just go ahead its not that far from home anyway, ill just follow the road back.

I grab my grocery bag and head my way home I guess it will only take fifteen minutes before I can go back home, well its not that far anyway and I’m used to walk, coming to school and going home, but then I have a feeling that someone was looking at me I look my way back and saw nothing, and nothing was in sight, the road was empty except for me.

I fasten my phase  its like the feeling like in the festival when I got out of the car, its freaking me out, but when I heard the roaring of thunder, I look up and saw dark grey clouds in the sky so I hurried to my way home but then again it started raining heavily and so I ran on the nearest thing that would be able to shelter me.

Well, almost sheltered me since it’s a large tree on the side of the forest, I’m still wet because of the droplets of rain on its trunk and leaves but I cant go since I have something in hand and I don’t want grandma to get mad at me although she would not get mad but I guess Jade will.

I’m glad that grandma didn't list flour on the things that I would buy because that would turn to waste if its going to be wet from the rain.

I just stand there waiting for the rain to stop or minimize its pouring so I can already went home, but it still rain a hell lot more.

I tried to call grandpa but my phones dead "lucky me" I said to myself but then I heard a branch break somewhere and I look back and saw something I’m not sure but I saw a large dark figure but when I tried to focus on it I saw Bane emerging from the dark forest trees soaking wet and only a pair of shorts and slippers his wearing.

Why on earth is he just wearing only that? Was he kidnap for being such a good looking guy?

But I don't think so with a body like that I don't think he's kidnapped or something.

I just keep on looking and thinking random thoughts of him, roaming my eyes on his gorgeous body, his abs, tone muscles.

What? I can’t help looking at his body, his not wearing any shirt, its not my fault is it? its his fault, I even saw droplets of water on him, Then he fake cough, oh shocks..

I look up and saw him smirk.

I blush, maybe he's thinking I eyed rape him or something and as I’ve said I cant help it.

"like what you see?" he said I nod slightly then quickly I shook my head and just averted my eyes instantly on the side.

After I compose myself well I look at him "uhm, sorry, I’m just thinking why are you here? It’s raining hard and your only wearing that? But then you scare the hell on me I though I saw an animal or a rather a bear a moment ago when I saw a large dark figure."

I said just to avoid the topic of looking at him and avoid the awkwardness, he laugh and join me on the tree.

"I’m sorry if I scared you like that, I was just walking my thoughts, when it started to rain and when I saw you I came by to say hi."

What a blunt lie to say, I knew he was lying.

"you came outside on just shorts and slippers? Don’t you feel violated if people stare at you like some meal you are or something?"

"Well its hot lately before it started to rain and I don’t really care, they can look all they like but they cant touch it" he said smirking.

"true but its not that hot that you actually wear just that, your not on the beach you know" I said joking about him, he laugh again, I too laugh on what I said then he came close to me, I mean really close that I can actually feel his body heat radiating on me.

I back away just to avoid him getting nearer but to no avail I was block by the tree on my back squish between him, I blush on how close we are I block him with the grocery bag that I have, for him to not to come that close to me and even tried to push him slightly that I touch he's chest suddenly and a sudden shock instantly hit my arm and feel his tone chest on my hand.

I look away blushing hard on the sudden contact. "uhmm.. aren’t you cold wearing just like that?" I ask, trying to avert his attention on me.

He smiled not budging away, "that's why I came close to you so that I can have a little heat" I blush from what he said and smelled the husky smell of him, I like it and still looking at him, then my eyes instantly widen in shock when he instantly pull the bag in my hand down, then turn to me and pulled me out of my shelter and on the rain, smiling and laughing handsomely.

“what are you doing?” I ask

“ just go with the flow and enjoy the rain” he said while laughing and holding me by the arms, so I just come along laughing together with him just join him playing our butts off on the road while raining, were like children playing on the playground, even when its raining hard.

We came to a stop when I got a little tired from running around and laughing at nothing together with Bane, maybe when someone was out here and sees us they’ll think that we were high on something or were like some crazy people running and laughing to ourselves on the middle of the road, but no one was here and not even a car passing by and before we knew it the rain starting to fade away and you can see the sky clearing bit by bit.

The both of us soaking wet and breathing heavily for air, specially me, and not him, so I stop got back to the large tree and look at the bag.

Its not that really wet, yet it has specks of water on the side but its fine since all of its contents are wrap with plastic.

I pick it up and look to him "I better go home." I said

"now? can we just wait a little more here? its still raining, well a little."

I nod and smiled "I’m sorry but my sister will punish me if she didn't get her cookies baked right now, she’s the long lost sister of cookie monster you know."

I joked, he laugh and nod "well ok I guess you better should go home and take a better bath I don't want to be the cause of you getting sick or something." He said while scratching the back of his head.

I guess he wants to say something by the way his acting but I ignored it.

I smiled and nod "you too should go home then" he nod and I said my goodbye and wave.

I turn back getting on my tracks way home when I feel arms on my shoulder, I look back to see his chest, I turn around looking up.

Yeah, he's really tall that need to look up just to see his face and saw a smirk planted on him, this guy really like to do that a lot.

"what is it?" I ask, there was a look of confidence and determination in him and hen he look down at me in the eyes and said "do you want to hang out tomorrow? like just bonding or something?" he ask, I blush.

What? why was he..is he asking me to actually have time together with him? Him really?

"are you sure?" I ask, he nods, I totally blush on it, no one has ever made me hang out with them except for my bestfriends and seeing the that I’m not really that interesting at all, I smiled and nod and before I can say something he hug me instantly and said "meet me tomorrow same time, here ok? he said.

I nod again shock on what he did and that's when he pulled away and run inside the forest waving at me gleefully I waved back a little he smiled and then his gone.

I came to my senses and smiled the rest of the way home thinking of him and for tomorrow.

It’s just new to me to actually been ask by a guy. Ow! wait I didn't even know if he was straight but if his straight why would he tries to ask me out? and hug me and be close to me like that right?

Hmm..whatever, I came to my grandparents house soaking wet, my hair over my eyes and there I saw my grandma instantly came to me with a towel on her hand handing it to me together with Jade and shadow.

I handed her the bag I wiped my hair and face “sorry if your grandpa did something didn’t came to pick you up at the store” she said while Jade look to what I’ve bought and shadow on my side looking at me.

I patted his head “no worries grandma I really know how to head back home since I just followed the road maybe grandpa really needs to be there, where is he anyway?”

“his just having a friend a visit, he’ll be home later” I nod and go upstairs to get a bath and change my clothes and leaving shadow together with Jade and grandma.

I came down and saw grandma making cookies while Jade plays with shadow but shadow didn't look like playing, he just lay there and Jade trying to wake the pup.

I called Jade saying to stop annoying shadow and so shadow sat up running to me while wagging his tail.

I crouch down patted he's head and Jade came pouting "why does he suddenly became lively after seeing you?"

" I don't know maybe his annoyed with you." I joked she pouted more and then I also pat her head and laughing to the both of them.

Shadow came again and rub his head on my ankle, I came down picking shadow up and then he licks my face, we came to the kitchen when grandma told us that the cookies are done.

Jade run and I scold her for running inside the house and when I came inside the kitchen I was greeted with the delicious smell of freshly home baked cookies, chocolate chip cookies with peanuts on top.

I sit on a chair together with shadow, and grandma handed me a glass of milk and shadow seem to like one so I put him down poured him a milk on his dog plate and he started drinking.

I even given him a cookie but I didn't even know that he likes it after he finishes one he look up and bark on me like asking for another one.

Grandma smiled when I told her about shadow wanting another cookie and Jade also ate one after another.

“slow down you two" I said seeing crumble and bits of cookie on Jades face and in shadow’s nuzzle.

I just laugh at the both of them while eating my own.

Evening already and everything went fine. Grandpa came home exhausted, after his meeting with a friend.

Then our grandparents told us that we will going to have a family gathering before we go home to our parents house, I just nod while Jade was excited to see her cousins and all, cause our cousins where mostly around the same age as her.

Well I don't really that type of person that’s really coping up to family gatherings and all.

I just nod to that after our talk during dinner and goes to my bedroom together with shadow.

So here I am trying to call Tina, she answered gleefully.

"hello Gab, how’s your vacation there?" she suddenly said.

I smiled and said everything what happen here on the first day, on the festival, about shadow, how I met Bane and how he saved me and invited me on our hang out tomorrow she scream like a freaking fan girl that I feel that my ear drum would broke so I instantly pulled away the phone on my ear.

I even describe him to her on how he's so gorgeous and handsome and how perfect his body is.

I blush thinking about him and I look at my hands remembering the touch that made me feel like electricity was coming to my fingertips when I touch his tone chest, I blush even remembering his body close to mine and smelling his scent that's so husky and masculine then I heard Tina calling my name on the phone.

"yes Tina I’m still here, sorry I’m just fixing my bed, shadow is on it" I said while trying not to awake the pup up.

"wow, so like he’s really a god yeah?" she said I nod but then remembering that she cant see me.

"yeah" I said.

"wow, I guess coming there isn't boring at all"

"ow, it’s not really boring when you tried to have fun while in here it’s really beautiful and the feel of fresh air in the morning too when you want to go out of the city and met a handsome guy" I joke, she laugh and we just chat about Bane and our date tomorrow.

I also ask about her and what was Anna doing and what happens on their vacations too and I ended the call saying goodnight to her because it’s already midnight and I lay there and thinking about Bane and tomorrow before I fully slept.
