CHAPTER 18

I wake up early in the morning and Bane was not on my side anymore only shadow who was curled up like a ball beside me. I rub my eyes waking the sleep in me when I heard some yelling downstairs I hurried to get down and saw my father looking down at Bane he was on the floor. My eyes widen at the sight of both my dad and Banes face full of fury but I can see Banes face holding back his anger but it’s on the verge of drawing out.

Lucky that my mom and uncle Ben held my dad and grandpa help Bane on his feet. Grandma was in the on Bane’s side.

“Don’t you two have any respect on us? Especially you Adam. Why did you have to do that to the boy?” she said at my dad. I instantly came to them.

“What is going on here?” I said looking at Bane and dad. I got close to Bane and saw the bruise forming on his lower lip. I frowned and look at dad.

“What do you think we’re doing? This young man’s saying things about the two of you and saying that I should accept this? Are you really out of your mind boy? Huh?” dad said eyeing at Bane and trying to launch at him again but mother and uncle Ben held him close. Jade was crying and aunt Mary instantly held her away and together with the twins after they saw what the commotion is.

“Dad even if he said those things you shouldn’t have punch him square in the face.” I said looking at him angrily.

“Why does this guy even in here anyway? At early in this morning he said these things to me. Wanting for your mother and I’s acceptance with you? Is he on your room last night? That’s why he’s here? Have you done something last night?” he said eyeing me.

“No dad. We don’t do anyt-” I said. But interrupted when Bane speak.

“Yes we did, and I want you to accept that, your son and I will soon be officially mates. Even if you disagree with it I will fight for Gab.” Bane said eyeing my dad.

“What? Are you really that insane Bane?” I ask whispering at him, I don’t want him to add more fuel on the fire.

“No! I will not accept it.” dad shook his head.

“Then better start accepting it son.” said grandpa. We all fell silent and look at him and he signed. “Gab, take Bane outside. I will talk to your father and mother.” I nod and pulled Bane away.

“What is wrong with you? Why did you confront father like that? And telling him that we did something last night? Gees.” I said getting frustrated at Bane.

“Why? I don’t care about it. If he can’t accept the fact that we’re mates then I will take you away in this place.” He said sternly grabbing my hand.

I signed and look at him in the eyes tears forming in my eyes. “Just let me talk to him. I’ll try fixing this. Maybe you should cool off first.” I said to Bane pleadingly.

“Fine! But if he still won’t accept it, I’ll take you away from them even if it’s concerning your family and my pack. I mean it.” He said seriously hugging me and kissing my head. I smiled sadly at him and he went inside the forest.

When I went home I heard my grandpa and dad talking inside the house. “I can accept him even if his like that but I can’t accept him choosing that boy.” said dad angrily.

“Your blinded by the human mind Adam, they’re not evil.” said grandpa. “Don’t let your son suffer because of your wrong thinking.”

“And how would he suffer on that? He would definitely suffer if he were going to be one of those monsters. Dad why are you accepting this huh?”

Grandpa shook his head. “Because I know that Bane would really be a good person to your son, he would take care of him. He would not hurt him son. Trust me. And Gab already accepted him.”

“Dad.” I said coming to them. They look up and dad instantly came over to me and pulled me. Mom just sat there in silence. Thinking something.

“Why did you have to choose him Gab? I already accepted on who you are, but could you like somebody else? Just not him.” I shook my head and the tears were now starting to pour on my eyes that I sob in front of him.

“Do you already accepted being mate with him?” I nod and dad signed. Mom came over to me and patted my back. Dad leaves us and grandpa patted my head before he went out of the living room.

“Gab. Why didn’t you say this sooner to us?” said mom to me.

“Mom, I’m sorry, it’s so sudden and when I found out I’m already fallen for me that I can’t help but think of him. And I’m afraid of telling this to you.” I said between my cries.

She signed and hugs me, she patted my head and when I look at her I saw her smile and wiped away my tears from my eyes. “I guess you’re growing up pretty fast, you’re finally making your decisions for yourself.” she said.

“I’m sorry” I said between my sobs.

“Don’t worry about it, do you really love that boy? Bane was it?” I nod at her.

She smiled and patted my head too. “He seems a nice boy, he really confronts your father and me this early in the morning. We were shock to see him down stairs and that boy instantly ask his mate I mean for you. He really loves you I can see it in his eyes when he told us about you. Guess his really on to this official mate thing.” I finally calm down hearing that from her so I hug her and she patted my back.

“But father wouldn’t want to accept him. Us.” I said to mom lowering my head.

“Ow, don’t worry about your father. His just being protective of you Gab and being a bit of a jerk.” Mom said that I smiled slightly upon her outburst against dad. “He’ll come around just give him time, I too need to accept this well.” I cringed on what she said.

“But don’t worry I already accepted you two, just need to accept the fact that, that boy was a lycan and I cant imagine my baby turning to one if ever.” I sadly smiled.

She signed again. “Better start preparing for the family gathering then. Don’t worry ok? I’ll talk to your father about this one too if he will not accept this then I will knock the sense out of him.” Mother said that I laugh slightly upon hearing that.

“Thanks mom. Bane is really good to me, I don’t think that he’ll hurt me.” she smiled.

“I know Gab. I can see it on the way his saying about the both of you to your father.” I nod and thank her again before she went out.

I went upstairs and saw shadow still asleep. I signed and went to my bed. I patted his head and he woke up slightly and he then came closer to me and lay on my side. I rub his fur and closed my eyes.

I was woken by someone instantly jumps on my bed I rub my eyes clearing my vision and then heard someone laughing on the side. I then saw my two jock cousins. Yes I have cousins like them, it really sucks since they always make fun of me when we were small that I usually end up crying but in the late years I just ignored them but they won’t let me be. Why do these guys like being jerks? They arent that bad but they just love annoying someone they think was funny or interesting on their eyes.

I just rolled my eyes at them seeing Patrick and Vincent and I just put my blanket over my head. I don’t want them to start making fun with me. I have more problems already.

“Aren’t you going to welcome us Gab?” said Patrick to me. His the ace player of the football them on their school, he really was always messing with me. I don’t know why but he likes to do that. I just growl on my throat. And immediately I welcome him and Vincent with force smiled on my face. They laugh and Pat/Patrick mess my hair I instantly slap his arms but instead I slap my head.

“Ow..” I grumbled. I look at him angrily and again he laughs together with Vincent. They’re really annoying.

“You really never failed to entertain us Gab.” Vincent said patting my head. I look at him angrily too. “Down boy.. Gees.. Where just bored and came here to greet our only pretty cousin.” He said smirking at me. I just slap his arms away. My relatives know what I am and a few of them like me on what I am some just ignores me and these two like to make fun of me because of what I am.

I eyed him dangerously. “Now I finally greeted you, now get out of my room already.” I said bitterly at them.

“Whoa.. Slow down horsy. Don’t be mean at us Gab. We just want to hangout with you.” Patrick said

“I don’t want to hangout now Pat. I have something in mind and I don’t want you two messing with me.” I said laying on my bed again.

He signed. “Ok. Guess we should play with the pup here.” I then sat up and saw shadow in his arms struggling to break free. I totally forgot and didn’t notice that Patrick was on his arms.

“Put him down Pat.” I said. He smirks and rub shadows head. I then gritted my teeth at him and tried to reach for shadow but he just avoids him away from me. His really a jerk messing around even to an innocent animal. Oh wait shadow is a lycan. Knowing that I instantly reach for him, luckily I caught him but we fall down on bed.

They laugh and I look at them angrily. “What the hell really is your problem?” I shout at them. They silence and I stand, shadow whimpers in me when I shout. I push them out of my room after I put down shadow. I lock myself inside and went to bed.

“Jerks.” I said to myself.

I didn’t went down and just lay there together with shadow still thinking about my problems at hand.
