Chapter 22
Falling For The Bad Boys
WALKER
I watched her walk back into that jerkâs house, and the way Logan slammed the door didnât escape my notice.
Iâd love to see how he slams doors when I slam his head into a brick wall!
With a growl, I climbed back onto my bike and revved the engine loudly.
The sooner I could get her out of that house and into mine, the better!
I sped off down the road towards my house, weaving through traffic.
As I approached the gate of my property, I noticed a car parked outside. Dominic got out as I neared.
Perfect. Someone to vent my anger on!
âI just want to talk,â Dominic said, raising his hands in surrender.
âWhat do you want?â I growled at him.
âOne chance. I need a job and I want to move back here to my hometown.â
Feeling exposed out in the open, I nodded to the guard at the gate.
âMind if we search you before you come into my home?â
He nodded and two guards came out and searched him thoroughly.
âAnd the car,â I instructed the guards.
Dominic stood there, allowing my men to go through his car.
âAll clean!â
âFollow me up!â
I drove up to the house and waited while he pulled up behind me.
Hayden appeared at the front door, his face hardening when he saw Dominic pull up and get out of the car.
He disappeared for a moment, then returned with his gun in his hand.
I could always count on Hayden to have my back.
I gave him a hand signal that meant wait.
Hayden tucked his gun into the back of his pants and watched as Dominic and I walked towards the front door.
There was a time when the three of us used to hang out as teenagers when my father was in charge. But when Dominic got caught stealing, my father banished him.
I would have killed him.
I walked in first, Dominic following me.
Without looking, I knew Hayden was right behind Dominic, ready in case he tried anything.
I led Dominic to the kitchen, then out to the deck, and sat on my deck sofa.
âThis house has changed so much since your dad was here,â Dominic remarked.
âSit down,â I instructed him.
He sat in the chair across from me, Hayden standing just behind him.
Hayden could never sit when tensions were high. He was always on high alert.
âSo? You want back in?â I asked, folding my leg up and resting it on my knee.
Dominic nodded, his hair falling forward slightly.
âI have a delivery job you can do. If you complete it, then I'll let you back in,â I told him.
âWhatâs the cargo?â
âA person.â
He nodded.
âHayden will work with you on the details. Meanwhile, you can stay in one of our motels where you will be watched until we feel like you can be trusted again.â
Dominic nodded.
âAnd one condition.â
âWhich is?â
âYou donât carry a gun with you while you are here or anywhere near me, or I will see that as a threat.â
Dominic nodded.
âHayden will fill you in and see you out.â
Haydenâs hand landed on his shoulder, making him jump.
âEasy guard dog,â Dominic said.
Hayden leaned closer, his eyes hardening.
âWant to get bitten, asshole?â he growled.
âHayden? Leave him be,â I ordered.
Hayden glared at Dominic, and I made a mental note not to leave them alone together.
âIâll see you out,â I said, standing.
Dominic got up, and I followed him out, all the way to where he parked his car.
I watched him climb in and drive away, exiting through the gate.
I rolled my eyes and headed back to the kitchen where Hayden was pacing.
Damn!
I was going to have to calm him down.
âWhy do I have to work with him?â he asked, gritting his teeth.
âBecause you are the only one I trust to keep an eye on him.â
Hayden was still angry.
âYou want to go for a run?â
He shook his head, his movements sharp.
He walked out to the deck and stared at the house where our girl was.
His eyes were intense, and his breathing was a little faster.
I knew what he wanted.
The same thing I did.
Our girl.
Just her presence would calm Hayden down, and no doubt he would want to make love to her as well.
âYou okay?â I asked.
He nodded, still staring at the house.
âShe'll be here in the morning,â I reminded him.
âNot soon enough. And besides, we have to visit the warehouse to check a shipment in the morning, and then I have to deal with Dominic?â
I smiled.
âMaybe we should ask her to stay over? Send her a text. You can do that now,â I suggested, grinning.
Hayden pulled out his phone and started to type a message.
I could see the tension leaving him and followed him over to the chairs.
âShe is typing,â he said, his voice filled with excitement.
He read her response and then punched the air.
âYes! She is going to stay over.â
âTell her we will leave her a key at the gate to let herself in and mention that we will be out,â I instructed him.
Haydenâs thumb flew over his screen as he typed back to Tayla, and then I watched him finally sit down.
That was a first.
Usually, Hayden would have to beat the crap out of something before he calmed down.
Maybe Tayla was good for him?
âYou want a beer?â I asked him.
He nodded, still tapping on his phone.
Heading into the kitchen, I noticed we only had two beers left in the fridge and grabbed them.
I brought them out and handed one to Hayden.
Walking over to the rail, I leaned forward and took a sip from my beer.
My eyes wandered over to the house Tayla was in, and for the first time in my twenty-eight years, I realized I was missing someone.
I never missed anyone, especially a woman.
But Tayla?
She was something special.
Her smile, the way her eyes lit up, even the way she moved.
I wasnât sure if it was a good thing, but I would kill for that girl.
We were even prepared to have her live with us after such a short time.
Could she be a siren, casting a spell over both of us?
I found myself grinning at the memory of how she felt, my cock buried deep inside her.
She was a firecracker!
She didnât seem bothered by the idea of Hayden and me sharing her.
Actually, she seemed to get a kick out of it!
Hayden sauntered over, standing beside me.
âWhatâs the plan for when we find Taylaâs ex-boyfriend?â he asked.
I shifted, leaning against the rail as I turned to face him.
âGive him a good scare,â I replied.
âSo, weâre keeping the bag over his head so he doesnât know whoâs giving him the scare?â
I nodded in agreement.
âAnd after that?â
âWe drop him back home.â
Hayden rolled his eyes.
Heâd rather we just off the guy, but that would mean dealing with a body and a missing person report.
âOnce Dominic brings him back, are you letting him rejoin the gang?â
âI guess so, but weâll keep an eye on him for a while,â I answered.
âI donât know. I still donât trust the guy,â Hayden grumbled.
âI noticed that,â I pointed out.
âJust give me the word, man, and Iâll put a bullet in his head, no questions asked.â
I took another swig of my beer.
âWeâre running low on beer. Weâll need more tomorrow,â I said, steering the conversation away.
âDamn it! She should be here with us!â Hayden burst out.
âSoon, brother,â I promised.
âFancy a walk on the beach?â Hayden suggested, pushing away from the rail.
I followed him down the deck steps, and we made our way to the waterâs edge.
We sat on the sand, watching the sunset in silence. We didnât need words to understand each other.
Tayla was becoming an obsession for both of us, and I had a knack for getting what I wanted, women included.
âThink we could take Tayla dancing at a club?â Hayden asked.
âIf sheâs up for it,â I replied, remembering how she moved that night.
Having her sandwiched between us, moving that sexy body of hers, would be pure torture. But then weâd get to take her home, and since she agreed to stay over, sheâd be ours for the night.
And trust me, she wouldnât be getting much sleep!
