Chapter 11
Falling For The Bad Boys
TAYLA
Jess and Logan had to be at their jobs by nine, so I arranged for a taxi to pick me up at a quarter to ten for my interview.
This gave me enough time to shower and brush my teeth.
I braided my hair down my back and picked out black leggings and a denim blue shirt.
I packed Loganâs spare phone and the house key into a small bag and met the taxi outside.
I handed the driver the address and he looked surprised.
âItâs pretty close by,â he said.
âIâm new in town. If you show me the way this time, Iâll know for next time?â
He shrugged and drove me three minutes away from the house.
We pulled up in front of a massive house with gates.
âI feel bad charging you, but thatâll be five,â the driver said.
I paid him and stepped out of the car.
He was right.
I could easily walk here in about twenty minutes next time.
As I approached the gate, a man in black combat trousers and a black t-shirt stepped in front of me.
âIâm here for the cleaning job? I was told to ask for Hayden?â
He made a call on his cell phone and then opened the gate just enough for me to slip through.
The house was sleek and modern, just a short walk up a driveway to the front door.
I straightened my clothes and rang the doorbell, putting on a smile.
I could hear music coming from inside, and then I saw movement.
The door opened, and I found myself staring into sky-blue eyes.
Sky-blue eyes I recognized.
It was the man who had danced with me the other night!
He was the one who had been grinding against me while the taller one was in front of me.
That meant...
He was Raffiel!
Oh, shit!
âItâs you,â he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
His eyes roamed over me, and I took a step back.
He was wearing black jeans and a dark red t-shirt, and I noticed a tattoo of a rose entwined with barbed wire on his right bicep.
Just like the other manâs!
âIâm sorry. Wrong house!â I lied.
They lived here?
I was about to turn and leave, but his hand shot out and grabbed my arm.
âOh no, you donât!â
He started to pull me towards him, and I dug my heels in.
âNo! I got the wrong house!â
He ignored me, his hand gripping my shoulder tightly.
As he continued to pull me, I grabbed the door handle and held on for dear life.
âHelp me!â I screamed.
âFor fuckâs sake, woman! Iâm not going to hurt you!â
I screamed again as he nearly yanked me off the door.
Suddenly he grabbed my breast, causing me to let go of the door, and he pulled me hard, dragging me into the house and right on top of him.
He kicked out his foot and shut the door with a loud slam.
Grabbing my arms, he rolled me under him and pressed his lower body into my crotch, making me cry out.
âI prefer this position,â he murmured.
âWhat the fuck is going on?â
We both looked up to see the man I had hit with a rock standing over us, looking confused.
The man on top of me pushed himself up and grabbed my arm, pulling me up too.
The tall man looked me up and down, his mouth falling open.
They both lived here?
âMeet Tayla. Our new cleaner,â said the man behind me.
âActually, no. Iâve changed my mind about the job,â I said, quickly.
âBring her to the kitchen,â he said to the man behind me.
I was grabbed again and pulled further into the house and into a large kitchen.
The man pulling me guided me to a barstool, and I slipped onto it as the two men flanked me on either side.
âItâs nice to finally meet you, Tayla,â said the taller man.
I bit my lip, unsure of what to do next.
âKind of awkward without a dance floor, huh?â asked the smaller man.
âAre you going to hurt me?â I asked.
They both shook their heads.
I guess that was a good thing?
âThen what do you want from me?â
âFirst off, we need a cleaner here,â said the taller one.
âOkay.â
So far, so good.
The taller one stepped towards me and tucked a stray hair behind my ear.
âWe also want to get to know you?â
âFor what?â
âIâll tell you that later, but for now, can we get you a drink? Tea or coffee?â
âTea, please.â
I watched them both make me tea and fought back a giggle.
âMilk and sugar?â asked the blue-eyed one.
âA little milk, thank you.â
I took the offered tea and eyed them, watching me like I was some rare gem they had found on the beach.
âSo, what do I call you both?â
âDaddy?â
The taller one nudged the blue-eyed one in the ribs.
âIâm Hayden, and this is Walker.â
âSo, youâre new in town then?â asked Walker, his green eyes on mine.
I nodded and felt myself blush.
âFuck me, you are cute,â said Hayden, smiling.
âI assume youâre called the Raffiel brothers?â I asked.
âWeâre not brothers by blood, but thatâs our reputation,â answered Walker.
âI heard about your reputation,â I muttered.
âDo you have a boyfriend?â asked Hayden.
I shook my head.
âSo, you just rent a room with Jess and Logan then?â asked Hayden.
Why did I feel like I was being interrogated?
âHow do you know that?â I asked, shocked.
âWe know mostly what happens in this town, Tayla,â said Walker.
When he said my name, I closed my eyes for a second and squeezed my thighs together.
My name sounded so sinful on his lips.
âWe would like to date you, Tayla?â
I almost dropped my tea.
âWe?â I asked.
âYeah. You and Hayden both?â
Hayden chimed in, âItâs known as a polyamorous relationship.â
âIâm aware of what itâs called!â I shot back at him.
I wasnât an idiot.
Haydenâs gaze seemed to grow darker, and as he took a step in my direction, Walker stopped him with a hand on his shoulder.
âWatch out, brother, sheâs got a knack for throwing rocks at your head,â Walker cautioned.
âI enjoy a good challenge,â Hayden replied, his eyes scanning me.
Walker closed the distance between us, leaning down to meet my gaze.
âI havenât forgotten about the rock incident, little one,â he said.
I held his gaze, not backing down. I set my tea on the kitchen island and rose to my feet.
âIâm heading out,â I informed him.
As I turned to leave, he grabbed my arm, pulling me against him.
âYouâre free to go when I say so.â
He pressed his lips to mine in a forceful kiss.
When I tried to pull away, I froze as Hayden moved in behind me.
His hands traced down my back before sliding around my waist, pulling me back against him.
Walker maintained his grip on my arm, continuing to claim my mouth.
As Haydenâs hands moved up to cup my breasts, I jerked away, breaking free from Walkerâs kiss with a gasp.
âI think sheâs into it,â Haydenâs voice came from behind me.
My eyes remained locked with Walkerâs as Hayden kissed my neck and ran his fingers over my hardened nipples through my shirt.
âHold on a second,â I managed to say.
âSo, youâre staying?â Walker asked.
Hayden nipped at my neck gently.
âYes! Iâll stay!â I exclaimed.
He nodded, and Hayden stepped back, allowing me to sit down again.
Walker slid my tea towards me, and I took it, my hands shaking slightly.
I locked eyes with Hayden, who was leaning against the island with his arms crossed over his chest.
âEnjoy that, did you?â he asked.
He was all confidence and arrogance.
âIâve had better,â I retorted, smugly.
His expression shifted, and he started to move towards me, but Walker held him back.
âTake it easy. Sheâs just messing with you.â
âI can play that game too,â Hayden said from behind him.
A part of me warned against being too defiant, but I had made a promise to myself that I wouldnât be the same girl I used to be.
I wouldnât back down or be anyoneâs submissive pet.
I sighed and took a sip of my tea.
âMaybe thatâs all the Raffiel brothers are? Just teases?â
Hayden drew in a sharp breath, and the light in Walkerâs eyes grew darker.
What the hell had I just done?
