CHAPTER 14: WANGFEI DUTY (2)

Wangfei duty (2)

After the episode with the concubine Lu Biyu didn't meet them again and it's now been over two weeks since then.

Every time those concubines send their maid servant he won't even see them and just let his personal maid, Xiaomi send them away with a bunch of excuses.

Also in these two weeks he and Longwei will do the deed every two days. That's the schedule he gave to Longwei because after a week of not touching each other when Longwei restrained himself because of the warning his nanny gave him.

When Longwei and Lu Biyu couldn't take it anymore they did it for three days straight.

Lu Biyu's body almost snapped into two because of Longwei vigorous thrusts. He laid the condition of every two days of riding the 'car'.

"Your Highness, this is the account book for this month. Your Highness also needs to check the monthly allowance that would be given to the concubine and also the servants salary for this month." Xiaomi said beside him.

In these two weeks he also started his duty as a wangfei. He overlooked all the account books for the past year. He also got to know that the servants salary is not right and the concubine allowance is also not right.

The first concubine to the third concubine have a very big difference on their allowance while the fourth and fifth have the smallest allowance.

The first concubine has at least two months of allowance every month but the other concubine can only have one month allowance every month. Sometimes the other concubine couldn't even get the whole allowance for the month.

"Who is in charge of the concubine allowance in the past year?" Lu Biyu asked the maid that Longwei gave him.

"Replying to Wangfei, Concubine Ai Linfei is the one who is in charge of the concubine allowance." The maid said.

Lu Biyu looked at the account book again and said to Xiaomi who is beside him." Go, call the butler."

Xiaomi quickly retreated to call the butler.

"Wangfei, called for me?" The butler who just came in quickly said.

Lu Biyu looked at this old butler with a serious face. He has been really suspicious of this butler ever since he entered the prince's manor. The way he looked at him is really not good and with a hint of hostility.

He returned his sight to the account books and said." You will be in charge of the servants salary. I don't want to handle this kind of burden but I will be responsible for the concubine allowance. The three of you, do you know how to write?"

"Replying to Wangfei, this servant knows how to write."

"Replying to Wangfei, this servant knows how to write."

"Replying to Wangfei, this servant knows how to write."

The three of them replied to him and he nodded his head.

"Copy this and distribute it to the concubine. The amount of their allowance is written there." He said and he handed the paper." Copy it right in front of me." He added.

The butler who was ready to leave and start planning stood still and reluctantly came back and sat.

The three began to rewrite what was written inside of the paper Lu Biyu gave them. They did not dare to change any number or letters because they will surely be punished when it becomes known.

"Still not done?" A warm voice broke the silence inside of the room.

Lu Biyu looked at the entrance and saw his husband.

"It's almost lunch. Let's go eat first and after you eat you can continue that later." Longwei reached out for his hand so he could hold his wangfei. He helped his wangfei to stand and rearrange his(yuyu) robe." There, let's go."

Before the two of them go out he instructed Xiaomi to arrange the paper neatly and follow them.

Laughter can be heard outside of the dining hall. The concubine is having a rare peacefulness.

When the wangye and wangfei entered the laughter died down and all of them stood up to give their greetings.

Longwei helped his wangfei to sit down beside him and naturally served him with food not giving a care for the etiquette.

"I know you loved this braised pork. Here you need to finish this up okay." He said.

Lu Biyu looked at him and tugged at his(longwei) sleeve and said." I can serve myself. Wangye doesn't need to do this." With a smile he let longwei to sit beside him and he served him food.

Longwei felt warm when he saw this rare scene. This is the first time that his wife,Lu Biyu served him aside from bed matters.

These days Lu Biyu seems to change but he can't point it out. His appetite also increases and he always feels so sleepy that he can't last long sitting in a corner or else you will see him snoring already.

He can't take his eyes off of him because Lu Biyu can sleep anywhere he is comfortable with.

The scene earlier that he is working is a rare sight because he didn't sleep and didn't yawn.

Longwei is worrying over him, his mind is so full of Lu Biyu's well-being that sometimes he doesn't think about the war that is approaching.

"I have something to say to all of you." Longwei said in a cold tone. Biyu looked at him with confusion evidently in his face.

"These days don't go out. If you want to buy something, let your maid buy it for you. Don't leave the manor. Stay vigilant and alert. If anything happens unexpectedly, alert the guards immediately and evacuate. Understand?" He swept his gaze around the table and all of the concubines nodded in unison but Lu Biyu just stared at Longwei.

Longwei gave him a look that he said he would explain later inside of their chamber.

Lu Biyu nodded and resumed eating with relish.

After lunch Lu Biyi feels so sleepy that he doesn't return to his work. He directly returns to his and Longwei's chamber, wash up and sleep.

Longwei didn't find his wife after he checked his horse. He looked at where Lu Biyu worked a while ago but he also wasn't there so he circled around the manor and asked the maid and the guard if they saw his wife but none of them didn't.

He is worried that he suddenly feels sleepy and sleeps at the corner so he also checks every corner of their manor but Lu Biyu isn't there either.

So he finally checked their bedroom and he saw his wife sleeping peacefully. He didn't think that Lu Biyu would walk his way here to sleep because usually if he became sleepy he would lay down on the ground to sleep without a care of his reputation. He really likes to sleep outside but today he obediently sleeps inside of their chamber and Longwei feels at ease.

He kissed Lu Biyu's forehead and got out again but this time to call an imperial physician.
