Chapter 25: Memories to let go

I woke up hearing some ruckus from the outside. I didn't even realize

until now that I fell asleep while talking with them. I get up on the bed

and tried to walk on the other side to look over the window. I can hear

voices.

“I will fucking break your whole clan, give me back my wife!” I heard an

angry, dark, firm and intimidating voice.

I took a peek behind the curtains and my eyes widen upon seeing Vigor

and the Vistas in front of the house. The man with white hair that Miho

have introduced to me was relaxed while being in front of them.

“Damn, how did they get here!” I said behind my breath.

I held on my big tummy. The full moon is so bright from the outside.

I took a glance on the window again, and I almost stumbled when our

eyes met. I immediately closed the curtains and held my chest in shock.

Did he saw me? Oh God, why does it seem like he knew exactly where I

am!

“Pyress, we have to get out of here.” Miho went inside, she’s wearing a

sleeveless top and army pants with boots.

I slowly stood up and never tried to look over the window again. “H-

how did he found us?” I asked.

Miho just looked at me straight in the eye, “Your husband is a monster.

I want to fucking kill him, but I have to keep you safe first.” She said

firmly.

K-kill? She wants to kill Vigor?

My chest tightened and my legs went numb. I never imagined this

situation before. Even if it brought me so much pain, I still couldn't

deny the fact that I love them both.

“Miho..am I that bad to deserve all of these?" I sobbed.

We can still hear some wild talks from the outside.

She hushed me and pulled me for a hug. “Don’t worry. Some evil things

were living freely on earth to destroy innocent hearts and people. And I

need them out of here, I need them killed.” She said and then looked

straight on my eyes

“Forget that you love him. Forget it. Remember that he’s a monster,

remember that he ruined your life!” She said, I can see rage in her eyes.

I am worried. I am still worried. I rather die myself than experience

seeing those whom I love die.

“Miho.” I stopped her when she started pulling me out.

There's silence in between us, “We could just run away. Leave him be.” I

asked.

She didn’t answer, she just pulled me again.

"DAMN YOU!" I heard Vigor cursed.

Miho couldn't make me go faster because I am having a hard time

running from my situation. The moment we went out of the house from

the back, we heard some loud thuds.

“Miho! Is your friend going to be okay?" I asked while slowly running to

the woods.

I don't understand why Miho pulled me to the woods when she knew

this will be Vigor's territory.

"Yes! He's a creature too!” She said and continue pulling me.

While running, I don't know but I can feel the moon staring at me. well,

it's normal because the moon is on the sky. But something's different!

“Miho! I- I am tired.” I said panting.

We stopped for a while. She let me stand on a big tree.

This will be useless. Vigor will definitely get here.

"DAMN!" I heard her cursed and jumped off the tree. She climbed there

to see the situation from the house.

She pulled me again to run. But this time, we're going on the shrubs.

My skin hurts, my breathing hitched, and my knees hurts. My tummy is

round and big, but thanks for the coat I have, it doesn’t hurt when

shrubs were on the way.

After few minutes, we both heard a loud stomp, and the wind was

blowing wild. I don't know but the memory in that forest came back

again. This is exactly how it felt back then!

“He's here, Miho.” I said almost out of breath.

Miho didn’t even say a word and just continue to run.

I stopped moving. I can breathe anymore. My tummy hurts.

“PYRESS WE HAVE TO KEEP MOVING!” She said and tried to pull me for

a run.

I couldn't take it anymore. But in a snap, my eyes widen when Miho got

hit by a wild blow of the wind. She was pinned on a tree.

“MIHO!!" I cried and went to her.

She lost her consciousness, and I can't reach her! She was pinned on

the tree!

“Miho..” I softly said, losing my hope. I can't even climb up. I can't.

“Let's go home.” I froze when I hear a voice from behind me.

My anger is too much but I can’t even dare say anything.

I slowly turned around to see him. And upon seeing him, I just fell on

my knees and sobbed.

“Why don't you just kill me?’ I asked, softly.

I can't even do anything now. I can't even get angry now.

He turned into human and slowly went to me. “Let's go home.” He

whispered softly.

If only it was the same as before. If only it was like the normal days. If

only.

“I'm sorry, Love. I'm sorry.” Vigor whispered.

I took a deep breath before looking directly in his eyes.

"Did you ever love me? Like real and genuine?” I sighed, “Or I am just a

tool. A tool that you married, impregnated, for a certain reason?” I

asked.

“I love you, Pyress. It's just...everything is complicated. But trust me-“ I

cut him off.

“Then who do you love most? Viennese or me? Wherever she is, will

you rather choose her over me?”

I am scared.

I am scared by that question. I am scared of how that question will ruin

me.

“I will choose you.”

I stopped breathing in that moment. My tears fell on my cheeks but I

am looking directly in his eyes. We are both looking together.

I can see sincerity in his eyes.

“Viennese and I were lovers back in the day. But we are not meant to be

together. If I am truly in love with her, I wouldn't get crazy risking

everything to get you.” He said, he also pulled me and hugged me

tight.

It's been a while since we ever got closer like this.

“I can't live without you by my side. I almost killed myself every time I

remember how much pain I have inflicted you.”

“I realized how much you mean to me when Miho took you away from

me.” He continue.

I bit my lower lip. My heart was pounding too fast.

“My ways may have traumatized you. My ways were harsh and ugly. But

trust me, baby. I did it because I don't want you to run away from me

when you find out that I am a monster,”

My tears fell from my eyes. My chest was throbbing so loud.

These are the words I've been longing to hear all this time from him.

“What if...you and Viennese were-" He cut me off by a kiss this time.

“Stop talking about Viennese. She might hear us.” He whispered.

My eyes darkened, “Then go to her then!” I said annoyingly.

He let out a soft chuckle. “No, no. I mean, she’s very powerful, she

might be monitoring us.” He whispered.

I am not convinced of what he said.

If that woman is really monitoring us, then it's pay back time.

I pulled Vigor close to me and kissed him deeply.

It's been a while since the last intimacy in between us but we can't go

further than kissing because I am very pregnant.

We are in the middle of kissing when we heard Miho groan. Vigor

stopped kissing me.

“I'm sorry love, but we should get out of here.” He whispered to me.

“What about Miho, she'll worry.” I whispered.

“We will get out of here. She will not remember any of these. I am sorry

but will you runaway with me?” He asked softly while playing with the

strands of my hair.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

He took a deep breath, “I know it will be hard for you, but I want you to

forget about your family. Now that Miho knows about us, she might tell

the army and annihilate everyone in the clan.”

That stopped me for thinking and resisting for a while.

I remember how Miho wanted to end Vigor's life at earlier.

“What will you do to her?” I asked,

“We will remove her memories, you parent's memories and everyone

who got memories of you.” He spoke.

How will he do that? I know everything that I am experiencing is surreal,

but that's pretty impossible.

“Viennese will do that.” Vigor said when he probably see that I have

doubts.

I just looked at him.

Can I really do that?

I looked at the night sky and find calmness up above.

Can I forget everything about me and be with him?

I looked at the moon and closed my eyes.

I don't know.

Maybe I will let fate decide my future..our future?

“Alright, but don't you ever mention her name ever again.” I said.

He smiled and drowned me from his kisses.
