Chapter 7

Axel's POV

My mate has been missing for a week now. My heart aches for his touch I need him next to me. My wolf has been ignoring me. Ive looked everywhere in those woods I can't smell him it's like he's disappeared from the earth.

I haven't slept in 4 days I couldn't knowing my mate hates me and he's missing somewhere.  I still hadn't told my pack about him I honestly wasn't sure how they would react. I sighed standing up I figured I could look one more time.

My hope instantly returned when I smelled strawberrys. When I had found out Alex was my mate that was the smell my wolf was drawn to.

I breathed deeply another smell filling my nose.  It was a familiar smell but I couldn't put my finger on it

I followed the smell to a small house. It looked old and abandoned. It was covered in green plants and dirt.

I walked in being cautious the smell of strawberrys becoming stronger.

I walked up the stairs to a room and opened the door then saw him my mate he was tied up to a bed

"Please not today" I heard him whisper my heart swelled with joy as my mate laid infront of me

"Alex" I said sitting on the bed untying his hands and legs. Around his wrist was a red mark from the tight ropes that bound him to the bed.

he looked at me and his eyes grew wide. he jumped up hugging me tightly wrapping his legs around my waist. I squeezed him tightly inhailing his scent.

"please take me away from this place" he said his voice shaky I began walking out of the door when someone walked in front of my path

I felt alex hide behind me his body shaking with fear as the dark figure stood between us and the exit.

" axel don't tell me you were actually going to help this worthless waste of space "  he said then it hit me the smell was troy my best friend and my beta. The boy I've trusted since we were kids.

a huge wave of anger hit me and I slammed troy against the wall by his neck he started to struggle for air

then I heard alex whimper I looked at him fear filled his eyes

I calmed down looking at troy who was turning purple and I let him go

His body hit the floor and he began to breathe heavily

"now listen to me you bastard if you ever touch my mate again I will fucking kill you understand" i said to him he coughed loudly

then he looked at me smiling "of course" he said chuckling so I kicked him in the stomach

He groaned curling into a ball in the floor. I grabbed Alex's hand walking out of the house. I can't believe Troy would betray me like that. I trusted him

"thank you " Alex whispered gently pressing his soft lips against mine

I was shocked my heart began to beat faster as he pulled away looking me in the eyes

His eyes rolled into the back of his head as he began to fall. Thankfully I had caught him before he hit the ground. I picked him up staring at the boy as he slept. The adrenaline had worn off

" thank you for finding our mate " my wolf said I nodded walking towards the pack house .

When we arrived I walked alex upstairs and set him in a bed I still haven't told the pack that their alpha's mate is a guy.

I can't think of that now all I need to think about is my mate I sat next to him admiring his face. He had small cuts and bruises along his cheeks and forehead. I watched as a small strand of hair fell towards his eyes. I slowly reached my hand towards him hesitating before I moved it behind his ear.

"I wont let anything happen to you ever again I promise" I whispered in his ear.

Quietly I walked back to my room laying on my bed as sleep took over me
