Axel P.O.V

i woke up with a bright light shining in my eyes i winced adjusting to the light i looked around to see i was in the pack healing center

i tried to sit up but winced as pain shot through my entire body then i heard the door open and i saw Jim the pack doctor come in

" oh alpha you're awake good'' he said stopping at the foot of the table

" what happened" i said he came besides and helped me sit up

" you were protecting your mate and you were stabbed, you were out for 3 days" he said poking around my body

he wrote some things down and unwrapped my bandage to see it was almost healed already the healing process is faster for werewolf than a human

" where is my mate" i asked

" he is out training he'll be back soon" he said i felt uneasy in my stomach but its probably just because of my wounds

the door opened and i saw my mate his expression brightened and he ran over to me hugging me cautiously i hugged him tighter

i heard him start to cry

"why are you crying" i asked wiping his tears

" why do things like this always happen to us" he said looking me in the eyes

I hugged his small fragile frame" i don't know Alex but i promise nothing bad is going to happen to us again" i said and kissed his forehead

He pulled away me with a sort of angry look

"No do not use that word" he said

I looked at him confused

"Don't not promise me you cannot keep a promise you promised me I'd be safe and nothing would happen but I've been beaten, almost raped, hell I've almost been killed all because of your promises that always seem to fail me and I'm done with them okay so no more promises... please" he said

"okay no more promises" i said

he looked almost relieved by my words

i got up and almost fell to the floor my legs were weak and shaky

"here alpha let me help you" the doctor said

i held my hand out gesturing him to stop he paused and stood still after i regained my balance i began to take short easy steps

" i think i'm alright doc can i go" i asked he looked me up and down and checked my bandages one last time before nodding

Alex took my hand and led me upstairs he looked excited for some reason

"Alex why do you look so excited" i asked he looked back at me smiling

"you'll see" he said in a sort of whisper

then he opened the door to the living room and i saw all of the pack they turned around and smiled

then loud applause filled the room i saw Ryan cheering my name i heard many different screams people yelled " you're my hero" and "we love you alpha"

my heart fluttered and i looked at my mate a small blush covered his face i never actually realized how much i loved this boy

he is everything i could have ever asked for even after all the shit i have put him through he still forgave me, still found a way to love me

i don't deserve him i need to show him how much i love him he needs to know

i smiled lovingly at him he blushed looking at the stairs i got the gist and followed him

he led me to a bedroom and inside there was candles and flower pedals i chuckled slightly

" what" he said sitting on the bed

" Nothing I love it" i said walking over to him i looked into his beautiful eyes connecting our lips

i pushed him down crawling on top of him and held his face in my hands his hands laid softly on my sides i broke the kiss and took off my shirt

he blushed looking me up and down " you like what you see" i said

" oh shut up" he said turning a crimson color i slid his shirt off and began to kiss down his neck he bit his perfect lips as i licked and nibbled

i scraped my teeth along the place where his collar bone and neck meet he moaned quietly

i sunk my teeth in causing him to arch his back and moan loudly he covered his mouth and blushed i licked up the blood from his neck and moved his hands
