Chapter 8

Alex P.O.V

I woke up in a bed that wasn't mine again. I inhaled the smell of my mate calming me.

The moon shined through the inside illuminating the room. I stood up walking towards the window and opening it. I crawled out laying on the roof I had often done this when I was stressed or upset.

in the far distance I saw the moonlight shimmering off of the lake

I breathed in the soft cold air and laid back looking at the sky it was filled with so many stars

I never had the time to see all of the beauty of the world I smile to myself

then I heard the bedroom door creak open and out of the window climbed axel

He sat next to me looking at the moon then I heard him sigh

"Alex you know I love you right " he said unexpectedly I propped myself up on my elbows

I didn't reply feeling awkward

"I was a dick back then and I'm sorry and I know in your mind you might think it's because your my mate but... it's not "he said then he chuckled a little

"the truth is my dad killed himself because I told him I was gay and from that point I just hated all gays even though I was one myself " then he looked at me a bit of happiness in his eyes

He looked so calm his eyes that dark brown I loved so much his lips that perfect shade of pink I couldn't resist this boy

He had my heart in his hands I was just afraid he would throw it on the ground and stomp on it

I looked at him again he looked calm

"I guess what I'm asking is can I have another chance I want to show you I really do love you " he said looking me in the eyes

"axel it's just... I'm afraid you'll love me then you'll stop and leave like you'll turn into the old you again " I said he looked ashamed

"well even if I don't get another chance or you don't forgive me just know that I love you with all of my heart "he said then got up shifting and jumping off of the roof running into the woods

I sat on the roof alone those words replaying in my mind

"I love you to " I whispered hearing the sound of a wolf howl.
