Chapter 75 Transferring Funds From AMC

At that moment, Liam’s facial expression remained indifferent since he perceived it as a trivial matter. However, unbeknownst to Elizabeth. she had made an indelible mark on the wounded Kingsley. It was this incident that had ignited a profound and passionate love within Kingsley for Elizabeth.

Meanwhile, in the CEO’s office at Glen Corporation, Gwyneth held the phone and listened to Wesley’s lament on the other end.

“Boss, you made me handle all your tasks at AMC, and now you’re taking away the company’s funds as well?” Wesley’s voice conveyed a sense of despair.

Gwyneth rubbed her ear with her finger, a hint of resignation on her face. “Can you have it delivered within an hour?”

“Boss, you can’t do this. Just because you have a new baby, doesn’t mean you can abandon the toddler!” Wesley’s words made Gwyneth burst into laughter. “What are you talking about?” she exclaimed.

Suddenly, she realized that if she allowed Wesley to remain in charge of all AMC’s affairs much longer, he would be on the verge of a breakdown.

Wesley replied, “Well, I’m just stating the facts. AMC Group is still in its early stages, like a toddler, isn’t it? Boss, you can’t show favoritism!”

“I want to see you at Glen Corporation in an hour!” Gwyneth declared, cutting off any room for further debate, and promptly ended the call.

Fifty minutes later, a knock sounded at the CEO’s office door. Gwyneth, at that moment, had just instructed Wanda to summon all directors of the Glen Corporation, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

Wesley entered, carrying two large black suitcases. His expression conveyed a profound sense of grievance.

“Do you really have to wear that expression?” Gwyneth approached Wesley, patting his shoulder, and then she opened the black suitcases. They were filled to the brim with cash.

“My expression? AMC is dealing with a cash crunch,” Wesley said, taking out a check from his pocket and handing it to Gwyneth.

“Wesley, even though I’m not physically present in the office, do you truly believe I’m unaware of AMC’s issues?” Gwyneth spoke, giving Wesley a glare.

She continued with a sincere tone. “Regardless, you’ve done a great job managing AMC’s businesses and cash flow during this time.”

Upon hearing those words, Wesley managed a forced smile. Just as he was about to respond, the office door swung open once again.

Gwyneth and Wesley turned around upon hearing the voices. They saw Gaspard and the other directors walking in.

“Ms. Glen, why did you urgently summon us here?” one of the directors, who had been impatient, wore an expression of annoyance and frustration, perplexed by the unexpected summons.

Naturally, Gaspard was also angry. However, in front of so many people, he couldn’t say much.

As they took a few more steps inside, they noticed the cash suitcases spread out on the table, along with a check placed on top. In reality, the amount of cash inside those two suitcases wasn’t significant. However, the visual Impact of the cash was more striking, despite the check representing a larger sum. Gwyneth responded. “Oh, the reason I called you all here today is to discuss something.” She took two steps back and patted the suitcases with her hand before closing them.

“Glen Corporation is currently facing a shortage of liquid funds, which I’m sure you directors are well aware of.”

The directors nodded in agreement, but their gaze remained fixed on the suitcases in Gwyneth’s hands.

She continued, “So, I took the liberty to make a decision to transfer funds from AMC to Glen Corporation, and I hope you all don’t mind.”

How could these people possibly mind? In fact, they were ecstatic!

They knew how well AMC was doing, but this had far exceeded their expectations.

“Ms. Glen, what are you talking about? You’re the CEO of both companies, so we have no right to interfere at all.”
