Love

"Dealia, I love you." Amelia said and I froze and looked into her honest eyes.

Shit.

Love?

I've never loved anyone in my entire life, let alone have someone love me.

How could she love someone like me? I'm brass, disrespectful, demanding and a pain in the ass.

But as soon as she had said the words I had felt this fluttering in my chest.

Could that be what love feels like?

Shit, I don't know!!

"If you screw this up I swear I'll kick your ass." Dare hissed at me.

"What does this have to do with you?" I asked her.

"We're the same person you brat." She continued hissing at me.

"Are you in love with her?" I asked her.

"Yes." She said without a moments hesitation.

Well shit. Okay. I can do this.

"If you mess this up Dealia I swear.."

"Yeah, yeah, I got it." I said and turned back to Amelia who now had tears running down her cheeks.

I sat up and pulled he into my arms and relished how right she felt there.

"Why are you crying?" I asked and she sniffled.

I really had no idea how to handle a crying female.

"It's nothing, I'm just being silly. I just had this fairytail where we would both declare our love for one another. I guess somethings don't always go as expected " She sniffled again.

"Amelia I....." She cut me off.

"It's okay, you don't have to say it back to me. I just wanted to let you know how I felt." She said and tried to pull away but I held her tighter.

"Amelia....." She cut me off again.

"Please Dealia, just let me go. I want to go to sleep." She said and tried to pull away again.

"Amelia if you'd just.........." Again she cut me off.

"You don't need to........." I cut her off this time.

"God dammit woman, would you let me speak for one second!?!?" I shouted and she leaned back to look at me shocked but nods her head.

"Thank you."

"I was trying to say that I love you too." I said shyly and felt myself blushing.

What the hell is wrong with me I don't blush.

"You do now." Dare said and laughed at me.

"Bitch." I said to her and she laughed harder.

"You love me?" Amelia whispered, sounding shocked and looking at me like I wasn't real.

I nodded my head.

"I mean, I don't know the first thing about being in love and I will probably suck at it and there going to probably be a lot of times when you're going to want to kill me, but I'm willing to work at it if you are." I said and she beamed at me.

Next thing I know I'm flat in my back as Amelia plants kisses all over my face.

I hugged her around the middle and pulled her more snuggly against me and pecked her nose.

"So you love me huh?" I asked as she ran her hands through my hair and I shuddered from the feel of it.

"More than anything." She said looking down at me with so much love in her beautiful green eyes that I shuddered for another reason.

I felt that same fluttery feeling in my chest again and smiled at her.

" Thank heavens you did something right." Dare said and Amelia giggled.

I looked at her with one eyebrow raised and she giggled again.

"Tell Dare I say hi." She said but there was no need for me to relay the message.

"Hi yourself you sexy thing you." Dare said and I growled and Amelia chuckled.

"Can you hear her?" I asked and Amelia nodded her head.

"Since we've been back from Enclion." Amelia said and I stared at her wide eyed.

"Why'd you never tell me?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulders.

"Is that where you've been disappearing off too?" I asked Dare.

"Of course dumb ass, only you would leave her alone so others could take her away." She said and I scowled at her and felt Amelia kiss my lips.

"Don't scowl baby." She said and I pouted.

"Don't pout either." She giggled.

"You should be thanking me, do you know how many people I had to turn away from her." Dare said and I growled at the thought and held her tighter.

"It's okay babe, you're the only one for me." Amelia said and kissed me.

I kissed her back and flipped us over so she was under me.

"I love you." I told her and we kissed again deeper this time.

We made love that night, slowly, as if exploring each others bodies for the first time, but I wasn't able to fully concentrate on what I was doing because all the while Dare was screaming in my head about how it was her turn and then Amelia would start giggling and I guessed those two were talking.

If I could pull Dare out of me I would so kick her ass.

"You wish." Dare said and I sighed.
