Chapter 49

Mean Girls

ICE (GirlxGirl)

The bell rang signaling the end of homeroom and I picked up our bags and we walked out of homeroom and headed to our first class.

The halls we're crowed with people, I watched as a girl got thrown to the ground and all her books and papers flew everywhere. All movement in the hall stopped as everyone took in the scene. The girl had shoulder length white hair and pale blue eyes, she bowed her head and tried to quickly pick up her things. A few people continued on with what they we're doing, others just laughed at the girl on the floor.

When she reached out to pick up one of her books a red heeled foot stepped on her hand and held it down.

"Look at the little reject, on her knees where she belongs." A high pitched voice spat down at her.

My eyes followed the red clad foot up to pale toned legs, they are nice legs.....

"Owww" I was cut off from my observations by Amelia who had hit the back of my head.

"What was that for?" I asked rubbing the back of my now bruised head, damn she hits hard.

"You we're talking out loud." She said.

"Oh. Sorry." I said and took a step away from her just in case my mouth gets me in trouble again.

As I was saying those legs went up to a deep red skirt and a white flowy shirt. I looked at her face and sighed, It was one of my roommates. The annoying blonde from last night. She had at least five other girls who almost looked exactly like her, it was kind of creepy

What the hell was her name?

"You should watch where you're going freak, next time I won't be so nice." Blondie says and pulls her heeled foot back. The girl squeezes her eyes shut and waits for the hit but I'm in the middle of them and I have Blondie's leg in a bruising grip.

I can hear Amelia behind me as she helps the girl up but I keep my gaze on Blondie and her group of cronies.

She tries to pull her leg from my grip but I just hold it tighter. She tries hard not to show it but she flinches from the pain. Her friends circle me and I rise from my crouched position and shove her back. She flew back a good four feet before she crashed into the crowd that had surrounded us.

Heads swivelled from me to her as she pushed herself up and hissed at me. Her cronies ran over to her and now there were six of them glaring and hissing at me.

"How dare you attack me you commoner! Do you have any idea who I am!!" Blondie shouted at me as the crowd around us began to whisper.

"Look Blondie, like I told you last night, you want to call mommy and daddy to 'punish' me; Go ahead, if it will make you feel any better you can even use my phone." I tell her and she glares at me.

"You have no idea who you're dealing with, I will make your life a living hell." She sneers at me.

"I could say the same thing to you but I don't want to sound like a clichéd bitch. " I tell her and I hear some snickers from the crowd.

She growls at me one more time. before she sticks her nose up at me and turns on her red heals and walks off with her cronies trailing behind her.

I haven't used my elemental powers in a long while so I blow a short bit of air out of my mouth and direct at Blondie's feet, she trips and falls sideways into the locker.

Right now I'm laughing my ass of as her cronies rush to help her up. She pushes them off and stands while straightening her clothes and glares at the laughing crowd before she turns around and stalks off.

The bell rings and the people in the hall rush off to their classes, leaving only me, Amelia and the white haired girl behind.

I turn around and look at them as Amelia speaks to the girl in a low voice but the girl just keeps her head bowed.

"Are you okay?" I ask the girl and she nods her head while looking at the ground.

"Thank you for saving me, but you shouldn't have done that." She whispers in a soft voice.

I walk closer to her and lift her chin so I can look at her.

I will admit that she is extremely beautiful, if I wasn't with Amelia I would love to get to know her better.

"Why shouldn't we have helped you?" I asked her in a soft voice ( well as soft as I could manage). She blushes and shifts her gaze from mine, I smirk at the affect that I'm having on her, but then wince when Amelia hits me in the back of my head again.

"Did I say that out loud again?" I ask rubbing the back of my head with my free hand. She nods at me and we both turn our attention back to the blushing girl and I repeat my question.

"I'm an outcast." Is all she says and tries to move away but I use my free hand to hold her still.

"What do you mean by that and why would you think this sort of treatment is okay?" Amelia asks as she looks at the girl.

"I'm used to this sort of treatment,  I'm an orphan, I never knew my parents , all I knew was that they left me on a family's doorstep and never came back. I used to live with a wolf pack, they used me as their maid and punching bag for almost three years until I turned sixteen and the alpha banished me from the pack. I was lost in the woods until a group of fae found me and I thought that they would be able to help me, but I was wrong. They held me captive for over three months while they tortured me. When they finally got done with me they dropped me off  in vampires' territory where I was used as a blood slave. They said that my blood tasted funny so they threw me out, I was homeless until I heard that all supernatural creatures were being summoned to the fae lands and that all underaged supernaturals were to attend this school. I have no money to afford a place to live or clothes . I knew that the treatment would continue if I came here and I actually thought about staying with the humans.  At least they would kill me outright instead of treating me like garbage." She whispered with tears trailing down her cheeks.

She might have been whispering but I heard every word she said, but what I didn't realise was that my grip had tightened on her and if Amelia hadn't made me let go of her I would have broken her bones.

I backed away and turned my back to her as I tried to calm myself. If there was one thing that I hated it was those who picked on others and bullied them for no reason.

Amelia placed her hand on my shoulder and some of my tension eased. I gave her a grateful smile and turned to the girl and found her with her head down.

"You still didn't say why I shouldn't have saved you." I said and her head snapped up.

"If you help me, they will only turn on you and do the same thing." She said and I looked over at Amelia and we both started laughing. The girls eyebrows furrowed as she looked between the two of us.

"You don't have to worry about us,we can deal with bullies." I say as I walk over to her and sling my arm over her shoulder.

She still looks confused.

"What's your name anyway?" I ask her.

"Crystal." She says and I reach down to shake her hand.

"It's nice to meat you Crystal, my name is Dealia and this is my girlfriend Amelia." I tell her and she blushes when I say girlfriend and ducks her head.

"Nice to meat you too." She mumbles.

"So what class do you have now?" I ask her as I pick up our bags off the floor and throw them over my shoulder and she looks at us strangely.

"What?" I ask after a quiet minute under her gaze.

"You're still talking to me even after all the things I just told you, even though the supernatural community considers me  an outcast?" She asked and I chuckled.

"I don't really care what the supernatural community thinks about anything and I can assure you that no will touch you again, and besides friends stick by each other." I say and she let's out a shy smile.

"Friends?" She whispered in a small voice.

"Yup." I say and Amelia nods.

"I've never had friends before." She said.

"Well now you do." Amelia says and Crystal smiles and tells us she has Introduction to Supernatural and I smile.

"We have the same class." I say and lead her down the hall to the room.

I open the door for the two of then and enter last.

"You're late ladies." The teacher a woman with brown hair  and green eyes says.

"We know, but it was an emergency." I tell her and she frowns at me.

I hold her gaze until she looks away.

"I'll let it go for today, don't let it happen again." She says and I salute her as we find our seats.

Amelia sits on the side of me and Crystal sits in front of the boy who is in front of me. She looks back and sends Amelia and me another one of her shy smiles and I give her a large one in return.

She turns around and the boy in front of me balls up some paper and is about to throw it at her, I slip lower in my seat and hook the back if his chair and he and it go crashing to the ground.

The whole class turns to look at the disruption and laughs when they see him on the ground tangled up up in his desk. He struggles to get free and when he does his face is red and angry. He turns to glare at me and I chuckle.

"Is there a problem?" The teacher asks.

"Nope, no problem here." I say and lean back in my seat.

"Mr. James?" She asks the boy who is currently glaring at me.

"None." He says through gritted teeth and I smirk at him, he straightens his chair and sits down but I can see his shoulders are tense.

Crystal sends me a grateful smile and I wink at her and she blushes and ducks her head. She's so cute when she does that.

"Owwww, what?" I ask rubbing the back of my head again and pout at Amelia.

"You were talking out loud again." She said and we heard a giggle. We both looked forward and see Crystal laughing at us.

I pout at her and she laughs before facing the front as the teacher continues with lesson that I'm not paying attention to.
