Klaxxon City
ICE (GirlxGirl)
After we had left the clan house we walked down the road in the opposite direction than we had arrived.
"Sooo." I said casually to Gwendolyn.
"Where are we going and why are we walking?" I asked holding onto Amelia's hand.
"We're going to the captial city on the planet and we are walking beacuse I thought you'd like the journey. Besides we're not too far from the city, it's just over that hill." Gwendolyn says.
We continued walking over the large hill, me shooting Gwendolyn daggers and her ignoring me.
"I think you forgot to mention just how large one hill can be." I tell her as we reach the crest.
"Welcome to Klaxxon city." Gwendolyn says like she was trying to sell me somthing.
There were skyscrapers everywhere and some industrial sized building, actually it looked like New York just bigger.
"It looks like New York." Amelia said from beside me.
"That's what I thought."I told her.
All of the taller buildings looked exactly like the Frost clan 'house' and I could tell they were made out of the same material. There were only a few different color smaller buildings scattered around, while hover cars and bikes zoom along the steets.
As we get closer I can see guards patroling the streets all armed.
"Is it always like this?" I ask Gwendolyn.
"Only recently because of the talks of war. Everyone is waiting for it to start." She says as we pass a pair of armed guards who eye us suspiciously.
We just kept walking and admiring all the structures around the city. We saw some of their temples, schools and monuments especially the one dedicated to Mizelle, she was a beautiful woman with dark shoulder length hair and blue/green eyes. Everyone seemed to stop and pay respects to it.
Continuing our journey we stopped at shops and bought some local outfits and got some food but as we left shops I noticed we were attracting more and more attention.
People were begining to gather in crowds and I noticed some guards further back.
"Do you think they're here for us?" I whispered to Amelia.
"I think so." She said seriously.
We continued down the streets, more and more people gathering behind us but keeping their distance.
Gwendolyn decided to stop us in front of a four story building.
"What is this place?" I asked her as she headed for the door.
"This is the council building. The members of all the clans' leaders meet here, around six thousand members." She said and walked inside.
I gave a low whistle and ushered Amelia into the building ahead of me. When she was in I turned back to face the crowd.
"What?" I asked them. No one answered, they just looked at each other then looked back at me.
"Is there a problem? you've all been creeping behind me for the past few hours, if you've got something to say, say it, if not back the hell off." Again silence.
There was rustling in the crowd as the guards who were also following us pushed their way to the front.
I sighed.
Do I really have to go through this shit again?
Soon they were all lined up in front of me looking like they were in the army waiting for me to inspect them.
"What can I do for you ladies and gentlemen today?" I asked no one in particualr.
The one in the middle stepped forward, he had blonde hair and green eyes and was just a little taller than me.
"We are members of the Nero clan and we are here to join your army." He said.
My mind went blank and my eyes went wide.
The crowd behind them starting murmuring about armies and who I might be.
"Army?" I finally got out. He nods his head yes.
"Who the hell told you I needed an army." I asked.
"We heard about your confrontation with the king and how you plan to dethrone him and take his place, we wish to help you with that." He says and everyone else in the line gives sharp nods.
"Whoa dude you've got me mixed up with someone else. Yes I kicked that loser kings ass and yes I do plan on killing him, it's no secret I hate the guy, but I don't plan on taking any throne and I don't need an army to accomplish this. So thank you for your time and good day." I say.
"But..." He starts.
"I said good day." I cut him off and head inside the building shaking my head.
Inside Gwendolyn and Amelia were waiting for me.
"Did you hear all of that?" I asked Amelia.
"Yup, sure did queenie." She laughed.
"Don't you start." I warn playfully and pull her into a hug.
"Can we get going now?" Gwendolyn asks.
"You haven't said why we're here. So no." I tell her placing kisses along Amelia's face. She giggles and tries to push me away but I hold on tight.
"I want you to meet the council." Is all she says.
"Why?" I asks and an irritated look flashes across her face.
"I just want you to meet them and for them to meet you." She says.
"You know Gwendolyn it's not good to lie." I say smirking at her.
She doesn't say anything to the fact that I just called her out she just turns and walks through two large double doors.
"Come on babe let's get this over with." I tell Amelia and we follow after Gwendolyn.
The room we enter is almost like a colosseum, seating leading up towards the ceiling filled with people who are currently looking down at us as we make our way to the center where Gwendolyn is standing.
I look around the room and see some extra chairs off to the side.
I snap my fingers and three off the chairs make their way over to us and settle in front of me. I fix one for Amelia and she sits, then one for Gwendolyn, she hesitates but I raise an eyebrow at her and she finally relents and sits down. I take my chair, turn it backwards and straddle it, my forearms resting on the back.
"Speak." I tell the people looking down at us.
One man jumps up.
"Who gave you all permission to sit and who are you to command us?!"
He shouts.
"Stand and wait for the council to address you or you will be arrested!"
I sigh and rest my head on my forearms.
Here we go again.
Hey guys. Thanks for reading the books and all the comments and votes.
Ok, sooo I'm going to have to cut down on updating to at least every two days, my classes are picking up and I kinda gotta focus. Sorry. But I promise to update as quickly as I can.
Thanks
